I had people come in as they get as they put themselves on and I'm excited to get this Monday going. How's everybody doing? Let's go. Put your hands together. No matter where you're at, get some energy, man. We're going to spend another hour together where you can learn how to build your business. Let's see who's going to jump on today. What's up, what's up? What's up? How are.
Hi.
Hi. So where you're from and let's get going.
Yeah. My name is Yolanda. I'm from New York.
Yolanda, Yolanda, give me some updates, feedback, girl, talk to me.
Well, last week I had my very first signing.
Hold on, hold on. Everyone give a round of applause. Her very first signing. Drop a clapping emoji in the comments below so we can get her a. Wow, that is amazing. So how to go Talk to me.
I finished it, but it took me four hours. And before the end of all of the signing of the papers, I realized that they were signing in black pen and I brought tons of blue pens. I just forgot to offer it to them.
Yeah.
So I had to kick into action and be like, look, we gonna have to do this again. I have to take your copies and we have to sign these again.
Well, Debbie, let me just jump in real quick. The first thing is, you know, experience is our best teacher. You know, you cannot, you know, assume you're gonna be great at something you've never done. So you know what? All I want to tell you is I'm congratulating you for getting through it. I congratulate you for catching that you should have signed in blue versus black. So don't get discouraged. Like, you know, a lot of times I see new notary public loan signing agents go, oh, man. Mark, it took two hours or two. I'm like, great, you finished it. That's all that matters, right? Too many notary public loan signing agents. New notary public loan signing agents compared the beginning of their journey with a notary public loan signing agent who's been doing this for six months. Six years. So, Deb, there's nothing to be discouraged about. There's nothing at all to worry about. Your brand spot spanking new at something. So to think you're going to be an expert after the first time you're setting yourself up for discouragement when there's no need to look at the positive. You caught it, you finished it. You got your first one out of the way. So congratulate you on that. Don't focus on what didn't go wrong. Okay, so let's go.
Thank you. I'm excited. I'm excited at least. Got it perfect.
So let's move on to something more inspirational. What are some goals for this week? Let's talk about some plans that you want to accomplish this week and how we can help you towards those goals.
Well, I just have to sign up to all of the 300 notary public loan signing agencies.
That's right. You know what I'll end with is this with you. You know, I think your goal is pretty simple this week is to finish signing up for all 300. I mean, what I want you to do, and I hope everyone's listening, is the way to create momentum is to be excited about accomplishments you've had. So I want you to get more proud of yourself of the first one you knocked out. You know, it works like you got business. You have a cash flowing business. So now you should be like, oh, my gosh, I got my first signing out of the way. Imagine how many more notifications I would get if I've actually finished all 300. So, girl, I want you to ride the momentum. Okay? You got your first one out of the way. Be excited that you did. You know what? I'm going to be honest with you as your mentor. The next one might take you two hours. Like, okay, like, each one's gonna get shorter, Each one's gonna get better, Each one's gonna get easier. So just don't expect your first one or your second one to be where you're gonna be at when you have your 50th under your belt every single time. You're just improving upon you every single time. You're only comparing this next signing to the one before it not. All these other notary public loan signing agents have been doing it for five years. So I'm proud of you. Okay, so what I want you to do is this for all you saw. LSS students who have not signed up for all 300 signing services in the course. I want you to take that 300 signings and turn it at 300 signing services. It turned into like five a day. Okay, so today just bang out five. Don't worry about the 300 yet, right? If you do five every day, you'll get to the 300. A lot of times you're like, oh, my gosh, I need to stop working for two days. No, you don't. You just need to bang out five today, bang out five tomorrow, bang out five on Wednesday, maybe Thursday. You have time for seven. But if you set your goal for five signing services, sign up with. Imagine how many more signing notifications you're going to get.
Right? Right. Am I calling and emailing all the above?
Just like the. Look, the first is signing up with them, then is using the script to go over with them live on the phone. But sign up first because a lot of them have a portal you can do on their website. And remember, I'm talking to you and everybody watching. There's a difference between notary public loan signing agent database, which is snapdocs, and signing order and notary rotary. And then they're signing services. Yes, I signed databases. That's right. Once you got those 10 out of the way, then you go to the 300. But look, girl, I say every single Monday, every single day. Excuse me, Five a day. Okay, five a day. I think you can chew on that. That's not overwhelming. It takes you maybe a month to get through all 300. Then so be it. You know what I mean? So there've been some good comments below with some good advice, so make sure we jump. Off you go. But your goal for this week is five each day. Does that sound good?
That sounds perfect.
I'm so proud of you getting number one out of the way, girl. Let's go. I'll see you next week with more inspiration. All right?
Yes, thank you.
Go get him in New York. Bye.
Okay, bye.
All right. How awesome is that? She got her number one signing out of the way. Now we know what she said. Her first signing didn't necessarily, necessarily go the way she saw it, and that's normal. Too many new signing agents expect to have the first signing be 40 minutes, no errors. You got to stop comparing your journey to someone else's Some students who come brand new in the business are former loan officers, former escrow officers. So you hear them say, oh my gosh, my first signing took me 50 minutes. But if you've never been in the business before, don't set yourself up for failure before you even started by expecting a perfect hour and a half hour signing yours might take two hours, and that's okay. Remember, comparison is the thief of joy. Don't compare your journey, your first signing, to anyone else. As long as you've got it done, you crush it. You caught your errors in the beginning. It is amazing. So let's get someone else on, talk about their, their business, where they're at and get them on. Let's go with Diana and see, we got Diane. I think Jarmillo is how you say her last name. Then I'm going to go to Jennifer gems and Brittany. Be patient. I will get with you guys, with you ladies. But again, remember, just be patient with your business no matter where you're at. Let's say you're a $20,000 a month notary public loan signing agent, and your job and your goal is to be a signing service and you want to get to a million dollars in revenue. Like no matter where you're at in your journey, you got to be patient. Don't compare your journey to someone else's. Because it's so easy every single of the way to compare yourself with someone else. So no matter where you rat, compare you to the day before, nobody else. Okay. Doesn't look like she wanted to jump on. Diana. I'm trying to get you on. Diana. I'm gonna give you one more shot before I jump on. Hello. Check. Hello, Danielle. So excited. Everybody's here today. When you ask yourself to get on, I gotta kind of keep moving on if you're not gonna jump on. So I'm gonna move from Diana to gems with dem. Let's see where you are. Diana, talk to me. If I can't get you on Diane, I may get. Oh, there we go. What's up? What's up?
What's up?
Okay, we got two people on. Okay, so let's go one at a time. So Diana, I think that's you. And then Jim. Jim, say your name and where you're from.
So my name is Deanne. This is my, my, my one year old Demi. Say hi, Jim.
Hi. I love it. I love it.
Okay, so this. I'll be quick. I just started the loan signing. I signed up yesterday. So I'm new to the course and I'M just. I'm just, like, a little nervous as far as just. Just jumping in there. And I just want, like, a syllabus as to how to go about the class successfully, if that makes sense.
It does, it does, it does. So, yes. Look, first off, welcome to the family. Okay, let's go. You know, I would tell you is slow as a speed. Okay? This is for everybody. Steps in their journey. Slow as a speed. So my, my, what I tell you as a new student, just go. Start with module one and just go straight down. The syllabus is in the course. Here's what I would tell you. My best piece of advice to any new student out there is don't try to go through the course in a day, in a week. Be patient. Try to jump to maybe two hours a day max, and study. We really can't take in much more information than two hours. So I know you're juice, I know you're excited, but just try to do two hours. Commit to two hours every day. I'm talking every day. When your baby boy goes for a nap, you're ready. When he goes down to bed, you're back in the course. So two hours every day and you'll get through the entire course.
Right? Right.
All right, so that is your goal until you finish. And then on Wednesday, there's a new student webinar with me only for LSS students. Make sure you jump on that. Okay?
That's right, like everybody else.
And I'm here if you need anything at all, okay?
Okay, wonderful.
Thank you. All right, welcome to the family. Bye. All right. I love it. I love our new student. Brand new. Take the same advice I gave her. Slow as a speed. Two hours every day is all you need to do. Don't try to rush the entire thing. Okay, so who am I on with right now?
Hi, how are you? I'm Diana Jaramillo. I'm from Colombia. And I'm super happy to be here with you, Mark. And I really love this loan signing. I love it and I'm super happy, so.
Well, welcome, welcome, welcome. So glad you're here. So let's talk about some goals, girls. So where are we at currently? And what are some things this week we'd like to accomplish? And so I can help you kind of set that action plan up.
So look, I'm new, and I'm kind of new, like, doing the signings. And I have a specific question. I have a signing in. The instruction says that the person has to sign. For example, his name is Mark James, AKA Mark James F. Okay. Yes. And in most of the papers the sign how, how, how he has to sign says his name Mark James AKA Mark James F. But in like two papers doesn't say like the name is without the A C, a K A. So he has to find for example. You understand my question?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So under the justice just to make sure I understand, under the signature line there is Mark Wills, AKA Mark R. Wills.
Correct.
Something like that. Okay.
In most of the papers and in the instruction says that he has to sign like that. But I saw like three papers that those that is just Mark wheels. My question is if in the instruction says that he has to sign everything with the AKA in that specific three papers where I didn't see the AKA he has to sign with, with the AKA or what I should do?
Yeah, good question. So you know the reason you guys take my class because I'm a signing service owner, right. And so I teach you the trenches. So what I would tell you, my advice is as a signing service owner, as your mentor, is to call the signing service and ask specifically because every lender is going to be a little bit different. So I because what I would do in that case is I would then call the lender to tub will confirm how the lender wants it signed. So make sure that you are calling who gave you the signing call the signing service up and ask them exactly how they want. Do not assume in this position. You know a lot of new notary public loan signing agents and I want to coach you on this. Okay. And I hope everyone's hearing me on this. There's a lot of new notary public loan signing agents. Feel like if I call up the signing service or the escrow officer, it makes me look uneducated. It makes me look like I'm not a good notary public loan signing agent. It makes me look like I'm a new notary public loan signing agent, when actually it's the opposite. See, a good notary knows that every lender wants it a little bit different. Just because it happens 9 out of 10 one way, you don't want to risk that 1 out of 10 times it happens another way. So a simple phone call will solve that problem. And so make sure that you call and ask and don't assume. In fact, when you're done with this conversation with me, you'll see a signing service owner in the comments who literally wrote we love when you call with questions, so don't hesitate with call and just get that answered specific from who you gave it to because what you don't want to do is cause a funding condition and then they're not giving you business anymore and then they review in your snapdoc signing order profile and all the other signing services don't use you because you didn't take 30 seconds to make a phone call. Now, here's what I'm going to tell you is if you make a phone call, leave a message. If you send an email and they don't respond or they don't call you back, you're no longer on the hook for a funding condition because you've done your effort. So you're going to assume to do it the way the instructions told you to do it. Okay, but if they said, oh, you messed up, you go, well, no, no, no, I emailed and I called you. So you're protecting your business by making the phone calls and an email. So if you don't get a hold of the signing service via email or phone call, just follow the instructions to a T, no matter what it says below, to a T. But the first step is to call. Makes sense. Perfect.
So right now.
All right, well, hold on. Before you get off, girl. So before you get off, how many signings have you done?
This one is my second one.
Okay. So I want to leave you with some goals. So don't leave quite yet. So, you know, my question is kind of like the lady before you, you know, have you signed up with all 300 signing services in the course yet?
Yes, with a lot. Like, I have a list and I already signed with, with a lot of signing companies.
Okay. So the question isn't a lot. Have you confirmed that it's all make sure. Remember, you want to make sure you do all 300. Now, my next goal for you, if, if you have done all 300, you signed up with all 300, I want you to get out of your comfort zone a little bit. Okay. Make a phone call to each signing service. If you don't know what to say, just use the script because you want to call yourself and introduce yourself. It sounds like you might speak two languages, right? So you want to call up and be like, hi, you know, I'm a bilingual notary public loan signing agent, so the phone call is just as effective as signing up. Does that make sense?
Yeah.
Use the script in the course to show that you're an extra notary with the best training because your training can surplant experience. Too many new notary public loan signing agents were like, well, I've only done two signings. But if you use the script, it will let them know that even though you've only done two signings, you're still a very well trained notary public loan signing agents that make sense. So I need you to step out of your comfort zone a little bit, girl. This is me pushing you. Okay? All right, good. So I want you to call at least three signing service. Can you do that? Three signing services this week. Three. And just introduce yourself. Hi, I'm a notary public loan signing agent. I'm bilingual. In case you don't have any bilingual signing agents out here. I have two certifications go into the script because I want you to start introducing yourself and letting them know that, you know, there's another option for a great bilingual notary where you live. But sometimes if you just let them find you, it takes longer for them to find you. Then, oh, my gosh. We've been looking for a bilingual notary. But remember, people don't know you're open for business if you don't tell them. Okay, so your goal for this week is three signing services. You're going to Google the phone numbers, call them up and let them know that you're willing and able. It's. Why do I got a deal?
Okay, perfect.
All right. And then I want you to comment in the Facebook group. Let me know how that goes. All right?
Okay, let's do it.
Let's go.
Okay, thank you. Thank you so much.
Oh, my gosh. How exciting is this? All new notary public loan signing agents, number one and number two. One person. One for very first signing. She's had her first two settings. Like are you con. This is amazing. Okay, cool. So let's go to. Who do we got next? We got Jennifer Cooper notarized by T and then Jackie. So in that order, if you are hearing me, Jennifer Cooper, give me some good updates. What another amazing Monday to be spending with you. Oh, Jennifer. What's up? What's up?
Hi, Mark. How are you?
I am well. I'm gonna be better when you tell me how amazing last week was.
It was crazy. It was crazy. But it was pretty stinking good. I've done nine crazy good crazy being bad, crazy good good and crazy crazy sometimes. But it was so good. Yeah, I've done nine signings so far in two weeks.
Oh, my. Hold on, everybody. Nine signings in two weeks.
My first two weeks. Very exciting.
I mean, I hope people would get inspired by that. In two weeks. Nine signings. So, Jennifer, tell me. I mean, look, look, with this goal this week, we need more signings. What are, what are some goals to get to the next level? The next level of where you want to be as a signing agent. Talk to me.
Well, I've already hit up. Well, I have to tell you that this weekend I went to open houses all across the valley and introduced myself and I got into contact. I'm now on LinkedIn with all of the realtors I met who all got my card. I just myself and I got into contact. I'm now on LinkedIn with all of the realtors I met who all got my card. I got all of their cards. I'm about to be sending some emails and calls. But that was.
There's no but that we're going to talk about. I want your goals.
Yeah.
To follow up. I'm going to show you and talk about following up with those realtors. But what I want you to do is inspire everybody. Okay?
Okay.
So everyone knows that in the course I teach you how to go get Realtors as a realtor script in the course. But not everyone does it, Jennifer. You did. And I want us to be so proud of you because effort equals signings. Everyone has open houses next to them. Everybody does. All LSS students have a direct play by play on how to get a realtor to give you their emails to give you to continue the conversation. So are you communicating that you walked into these open houses and there wasn't a realtor who shunned you? All the realtors were in to continue the conversation. And am I correct with that?
Yes.
I hope everyone more.
They saw me as a colleague. The minute I said when, when, when it was all organic, I didn't have to go in and sell myself. It was very organic. And when I said, oh, yeah, I'm a notary public loan signing agent, they're like, oh, my gosh. Well, then you must have been so. And that conversation would go on for 10 minutes. It was great. It was great.
I want everyone to hear that literally this business is 99% effort. Like, literally 99% effort of your business will not be built overnight. But Jennifer is putting in work now, so 90 days from now, she's gonna have a huge business. Jennifer, I'm using you to inspire everybody. You are somebody who really understands that it's effort. Someone who understands that, look, I now need to follow up and I understand that just because they saw me one time doesn't necessarily mean they're gonna use me the same time I met him. But I gotta follow up. So let's talk about those. Follow ups. Okay.
Okay.
So here's what I need from you. Here's what I want from you. Here is the goals for this week. Okay? Today is Monday. It's literally perfect.
Yep.
So your goal here, okay, I want you to hear me on this. Your goal here is to send an email that gets for a face to face meeting.
Gotcha.
So, oh my gosh, it was nice to run in. Nice to meet you last weekend. Yeah, I would love to come by your office, take you out to coffee, talk about the industry, talk about the market. Remember, you have the power to choose your own notary. I'd love to be the missing notary on your team, but a lot of times the problem is with notary public loan signing agents, do a follow up, forget. Especially with realtors who are really relationship driven, unlike an escrow officer or a lender. Not to say that they're not. And when I say relationship driven, I mean the relationship between the borrower and the real estate agent that's very. Or the buyer that's relationship driven. So the point I'm trying to make is you need to really show the realtor that I understand how big of a bond you and the buyer have. And I just want to continue that by being the member on a team you're missing. But the only way you can do that is by getting another face to face meeting and showing them all this authenticity, showing them your beautiful smile. A lot of times signing agents will just kind of default to email and be like, oh, I'm available if you need me. The realtor needs another touch point. A little bit different than a lender and an escrow officer where a realtor is very, how are you? You're going to be an extension of me. I want to make sure that I'm sending the right person in. And so that's why I want this email follow up to be something specific to a meetup. Like, let's go out to coffee. It's a tax deduction. It's $4 for a cup of joe. Right. So like Ed, let me take out some coffee this week. Just kind of catch up. When we talked about, talk about the market, talk about any value that I could give you. Don't mention about how you want signings. Remember, I want to touch base on how I can help your business. I don't want to give away all the LSS nuggets on here, but I think you know, though, the ways you can bring value to a realtor. But my point is in the email, Jennifer, make sure you're Communicating. Like, look, let's meet up for coffee. I would love to do XYZ for your next open house. Love to do something where I can bring your business value. How's Wednesday, Thursday morning for coffee? So make sure that next one is a call to action for a face to face.
Absolutely.
In the email, you're talking about the value that you can help them with their business. Don't talk about you and your business, but remember, we're trying to give value. Once the realtor knows, like, wow, Jennifer's in to do A, B and C. Dude, I'll do coffee and fat coffee's on me. Right. So your goal for this week is to actually follow up with all the ones you hit. And then I want you to call to go back on this Monday and let me know how those emails and how many those appointments that you made face to face. Fair enough.
Absolutely.
Get it, girl. Remember, don't make the business about you.
Also, can I just say, because you're talking about calling signing services. Yeah, Every single. Every single signing service I've called has given me a job on the phone. Every single one. That's how I got nine signings in the last two weeks. So.
So you're saying the system works?
Oh, yeah, the system totally works. Yeah.
I'm so proud of you. And again, I don't want to beat a dead horse, but, like, I'm proud of you because, like, everyone has the same script. Everyone has a telephone, everybody has open houses, everybody can walk in, but not everybody does it. You. I cannot take any credit for your effort. I can't take any credit for your tenacity. I am so proud of you. And I'm just humbled to be on this journey with you, girl. I will see you in the 10k club. Everyone's inspired by your effort. And follow me next week. Okay with it. All right, girl, go get them. Bye. Are you hearing all this, man? Nine signings, two weeks by picking up the phone and making it happen. And you know what? She's going to get direct business. Not because she's sitting back and waiting for it, because she's looking to go get it. And that's what I want to encourage you to do. Use the stories of our LSS students who are not sitting on their rear end saying, oh, I wish to have a big business, but they're out there making it happen. All of us have the same script. If you're an LSS student, all of you have phone numbers, signing services. It's calling up the phone, the signing services. And she straight up told you how she got all nine signings was by calling up the signing service. You can do the exact same thing. I believe in you. I know how much greatness you have. You were born great. Like I said yesterday, you are amazing. Don't over forget it. Let's get someone else on here right now. All right, who we got next? Brittany, you are up. And then Node Rise by T. And then Chanel Hunt. Let's get Brittany up. Brittany, jump on in. What an amazing Monday to be hanging out with all of you. So excited to hear the success of your businesses. Oh, what's up, B? Hi. How are you?
I'm good. How are you?
I am better now than I'm talking to you to talk to me. Where are we at and what's some goals for this week?
So here I'm in Palm Beach County, Florida. I have been marketing direct like crazy. So I've gone in office to about 20 to 30 offices.
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Did you guys just hear that? Effort equal signings and my girl be 20 to 30. Oh, my. Let's take it up. Drop her some clapping emojis if you are inspired by that. Okay, so let's pause there for a moment. Okay. So 20, 30. That's amazing. What I want for this week is to dig deeper, not wider. I think you might hear me say this a few times on these episodes, but 20 to 30 is so many now it's time to go back in and reintroduce myself. Right? And so you need to go back in and re acclimate them with who Brittany is. Re acclimate them with what value you can give them. Re acclimate them with what your purpose is and the value you want to bring. You know, what I want to give the analogy is Brittany is, you know, I don't know if you're one of those students who, you know, who bought my course the first time they saw me, but my guess is it might have taken you a couple times that, like, oh, is Mark for real? Do I like them? Which is normal. That's my point. So these escrow officers sometimes need to feel the same thing. It's like, is she for real? Is she always this nice? Is she always have this smile? Because remember, you're representing them at the closing table, so you need to remind them, yes, I'm always this energetic. Yes, I'm always this smiley. Yes, I'm always whatever your attributes are. Right? So instead of digging wider, go back and dig deeper. Okay. And so make sure with those 20 or 30 this week is I actually want you to stop digging wider. That's my coaching. You've done enough work on introducing yourself to new title companies. Now it's really taking this 20 to 30. Starting with the first five that you really felt like you had good mojo with. You're like, oh, Chicago, Empire and ABC escrow were all jiving me. Those are the ones you start with and just go back in like, hey, it's Brittany again. Bring some type of form of appreciation like you're taught and then just remind them like, look, if your signing agent's busy, get stuck in traffic, I'm your girl. You know what I mean? If they can't do a 6am that can't do 11pm show the value, let them know I'm here if you need me. It should be literally a three minute follow up, right? It should be really quick to the point and you should be able to hit all 20 or 30 in the next two weeks. And then you're just putting those people on rotation on follow ups. Because remember, sometimes you need just to show up again and be like, hey, it's me again. I am in. I am not lying that I'm saying I'll do anything for you. You know what I mean? So that's the goals for this week is to follow up strategically with starting with the people who give you the you you got the best buy from energy from right fish where the fishes are and then from there kind of go, I'm not telling you, Ignore the people you didn't have. Good. There were probably some people that you didn't even get back to the escrow officer. You know, kind of put those on the last people you want to follow up with but still follow up and then make sure you're going in with some type of form of appreciation. So to remember Brittany, I don't know if you watch the on the road with that lady from North Carolina, Autumn Nicole, where she's handing out scones like.
Whatever, macaroons actually.
Ship your boy some I love me some macaroons, girl. But perfect. You get it? I love it. You get it. Nothing else. I can coach you on style outside of fortunes in the follow up. Okay. You don't need to overthink what you're going to say to them. Again, what you said the first time is okay. A lot of new notary public loan signing agents get a little nervous. Like what do I say the same thing, right? Let me end with this, Let me end with this for Some coaching for you. You know, a lot of notary public loan signing agents sometimes don't take in that when you walked into the title office, they could have just got yelled at by a borrower because their house didn't close on time. Or, you know, a lender could be like, oh, my gosh, loan dogs. My point is, is sometimes they don't even realize you walked in because they're like, they're dealing with a whirlwind behind here. Does that make sense?
It does.
So just be empathetic to, like, when you walk in, like, look, I'm walking to your place of business. I get it. You know, thank you for the five to 10 minutes. You may not have heard a word that came out of my mouth last time because you were closing on a house that's three days past escrow. A lot of times, signing agents take it personally. Like, they don't remember me. I'm like, dude, they got a job, so don't take it personally. Keep doing what you're doing. I want you to hit all those ones. I want you to hit at least 10 of those signings. I mean, escrow offices this week. That's your goal.
Okay, I can absolutely do that.
Oh, my God, girl, I'm so proud of you. I'm honestly, I'm so, so proud that you're. I hope you're inspiring people watching right now, because can you tell everybody? Is it as scary as you thought it was going to be or was it wasn't as bad? Because people are scared to death out there. So tell them it wasn't that bad.
It wasn't that bad. I made my little gift bags. I got them at the dollar store, and I filled them with candy and chips, and I attached my business card. And the first one, I sat in the car for, like, 20 minutes with the AC going because I'm in South Florida, and I was just terrified. And then everybody was like, okay, cool. And they were really nice. So then it just made it easy to go to the next one and the next one and the next one. So it's not that bad.
I love it. And look, I want to. I want to say, look, I keep telling you, I'm so proud of you, because I am. Most people would have turned that car around. Most people would not have pushed past those fear, those nerves. And I'm proud of you because success is on the other side of fear. You embrace that. I can't take credit for that. That is all you. I'm sure your why is huge. Why you're building this business. And so thank you for inspiring everybody that you were nervous, but you pushed through it and it wasn't that bad. But don't stop here, okay, B. I won't.
I will not.
All right, follow up with me via DMS or something and let me know how that follow up process went.
I will. Thank you so much.
You're so welcome. All right, go get him. By Everyone is inspired by Brittany. She straight up said, I spent 20 minutes in my car. You're not alone if you feel nervous and you feel scared. But what I hope Brittany did was encourage you that it's not as bad as you think it is on the other side. Okay? Believe in yourself. They need you. You are amazing. Keep doing what you're doing, which is effort every single day, building your business. You could be doing anything right now, but you are watching this live. Give yourself credit for that. Give yourself you were taking your business serious. Keep pushing past your nerves. I know you're filled with greatness. It's time for you to start realizing. Let's go. All right, who do we got next? Let's get notarized by T and then Chanel and then Jackie. I should get to all three of you ladies. All right. Oh, my gosh. Look, if you feel alone that you have no. What up?
Hey.
How are you? Okay, so your name, where you from? And let's get this party started.
Hi, my name is Takeel. I actually live in Ventura, California.
Love it. Love SoCal in the house. Okay. That's right. Okay, cool. So where are we at and what are some goals? Talk to me.
Okay, so it's crazy because when I first started, I was working a full time job, and like this past Thursday, I actually got laid off. So I guess, like, right now I'm just like, setting up. Like, me and my husband, we kind of talked about things and he's okay with me going as, like a full time loan signing.
Love it.
So right now I'm just like, creating a script to approach, like, the companies that were giving me business before and kind of just say, hey, I'm 24 7. If you need me, I'm here type of deal. But I just kind of wanted to, like, get your expertise on, like, how I should go forward and build this business and be successful.
I love it. I love it, love it. First off, no, I apologize about getting laid off. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Not to get weird on, you know, because it does stink. But look, you know, it's amazing what we can do when our backs against the wall. It's amazing what we can do when there's like kind of no plan B. So I'm excited for you from that aspect and tell your man he is the man for supporting you because I love it. It takes a village to build a business and it starts with support within the household. So I love that. So let's get to some goals. And first thing, you're correct and I'm very proud of you that your intuition is correct. Calling up the people who gave you business is always the best way to get more business. Right. So many new notary public loan signing agents start looking for places that they've never worked for before. When you just do what you're doing. Right. The only difference that I would say instead of just calling them up and like a, I'm full time is maybe show some gratitude. Right?
Right.
And I'm not even talking about maybe going out and buying things. I'm talking like maybe just mailing them a handwritten thank you card. Right. Show the signing service owner, like, because now you're full time.
Right.
So now it's remember what I want to make sure I coach you on this is this is a relationship business. The entire step of the way, even if you're working for signing services or you working for escrow call officers, lenders or real estate agents is still relationships. So I want to kind of coach into you, try to build those relationships authentically as you can. So with the people that have given you business in the past, dude, if you haven't really shown that gratitude yet, I think the first step is showing the gratitude. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited. I know to thank you for all the business you gave me previously, I just want to remind you, I'm over in Ventura. I service all of LA county, whatever. Right? But lead with that kind of gratitude first. I've done some work with you in the past. I just want to say thank you again. And remember, a phone call doesn't hurt either. Same concept. So I would say your head's in the right spot. Everyone who's given you business before, call up, send gratitude, start there, okay, Then go out. Your next step is, is to take the script and then call signing services. Girl, you're in la. Some of the biggest signing services are out of la coast to coast. I mean, DOC Pro, Sign X, I mean, I mean those are just off top of my head. No notary near you. I mean, there's so many. So my point is, you know, hand pick the Notaries, the signing companies out of SoCal.
Right?
Call them up. R&M signings, the Inc. I mean, I'm just coming. Everything's coming to me as my head's going here. So just call them up and be like, hey, I'm willing and able. I will drive anywhere, you know, you need me. Go to freaking Riverside. I'll go to Riverside. Right? Just try to let them know how much value that you would bring them and use the script at the same time. So I would start with calling up who you used to work with, showing gratitude, sending thank you cards, making phone calls. Start with the signing service list. Start making phone calls with ones who haven't given you Southern California base. Once you get that out of the way, I want you to go in direct. How many signings you have under your belt? How many signs you have under your belt?
About 10, just for like the last month.
Okay, first off, Everybody hear that? 10 in the last month. Let's go. But with that being said, I mean, look, I want you to start telling yourself the narrative. Like, I'm ready to go direct. Like, you've done 10. You know what you're doing. You know what to expect, right? I mean, let's be honest. I mean, once you got past five, they're all been kind of the same thing, you know what I mean? As far as I know what to expect, what I mean. So my point is, you're ready to go. You're ready to go direct. Okay? Like the lady before you who was going to open a bunch of 20 title companies. B, you know, you got to get inspired by that, right? What I teach you students is, remember, man, title companies don't know you're open for business if you don't tell them, right? That's a huge job. That's not a me job. I can tell you what to say, but you got to go. Say it like Brittany did down in South Florida in the heat, in her car for 20 minutes, scared to death. But she pushed past that. So I hope Brittany inspires you because that's what it takes to build this business. So if you're asking me, Mark, what's the next steps, girl, it's to push past your comfort zone. Know that nerves are normal. Doesn't make you weird, doesn't make you any different. But the difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is successful people push past those nerves. It's not that they don't have them. So Brittany had them. She told you. But Brittany and some other notary public loan signing agents is Brittany didn't turn the car around.
Right.
So, my girl, my point is, is that you get inspired from that. Remember why you're building this business. Success is on the other side of those nerves, on the other side of fear. And I'm going to end with this. Okay, you ready?
I'm ready.
Most signing agents don't get into this business to go direct. Most signing agents get into this business because they want to answer a text message.
