How's everybody doing? I hope your holidays were absolutely amazing. My name is Mark Wills, and I am blessed and honored to be able to coach so many notaries from around this country, build bigger businesses. 2024 is here. I hope you had an amazing holiday. So this time today, we're going to talk about goals. 2024, it's coming. You should have some goals. Let's plan a goal. Because a goal without a plan is just a dream. If your goal is to make more money, then let's get started. I want to help you build a notary public loan signing agent business. I want to help you build some plans for 2024. Don't just talk it into existence. Make sure we actually have a plan to go into 2024. So while I am waiting for somebody to jump on, let me do a little goal coaching right now. You have one thing to do this 2024. That is to dream big. Your goals are supposed to scare you. There are two reasons why you don't have big goals. Are you ready and are you listening? Reason number one, why you don' scary goals. It's because you don't believe you can actually complete them. Let me say that one more time. The reason number one, why you don't set big goals is because you actually have limiting beliefs that I'm not able to reach those goals. So if I don't believe I can reach a bigger goal, why would I have a bigger goal? Because if I don't make that bigger goal, I'm going to fail, and I don't want to fail. So you're protecting yourself from from failure because you have this limiting belief that you can't reach a bigger goal. We need to change that today. Your goals are supposed to be so big that they create big actions. The bigger your actions are, more likely you're going to move the needle in 2024. So reason number one, why you're not setting big goals is because you're actually protecting yourself from failure. You're protecting your inner child in case, well, if I don't make a bigger goal, then I can't fail. If I can't fail, then no one's going to judge me. If nobody judged me, then I'm saf my little comfort zone. It's time to push you out of your comfort zone. It's time to make you realize why you're not setting big goals. The number one reason why you're not setting big goals is because you don't believe you can actually reach them. Yeah. Crazy. When you think about it like that. Reason number two why you don't set big goals is because you actually are afraid of the work. Oh, I hope that didn't sting too bad. The number two reason why you don't set big goals because so you understand the bigger the goals, the bigger the actions you need to take. And God forbid that you go talk to 10 real estate agents next month. So you pare down your goals because you're not willing to walk. To walk. You're talking the talk, but you're not walking the walk. Yeah, I hope that landed for everybody. The second reason why you're not making big calls is, you know, the bigger the goals, the more the work. And you're trying to prevent yourself from the work. So let's make 2024 the day, the year. You walk the walk and don't just talk the talk. Set big goals and realize behind big goals there are big actions. But the big actions are what makes you successful. You set tiny goals, you have tiny actions and at the end of the next year you're like, well, how come I didn't grow a business? Well, because you didn't take big actions to meet these big goals to make the more money that you actually want to make. So I hope that landed for everybody. I'm going to talk about that throughout today's life. But you have a job to do and that's to make big goals in 2024. How's everybody doing? Let's go. Jump on here. Let me help you build the business in 2024.
What's up? How you doing?
Talk to me. Where you from?
So I was born in New York, but I currently live in Tennessee. I've built a mobile notary business. I took your course, so everything has been fantastic. I mean, I have all great things. I currently still am working a full time job. So I saw one of the students shared something that I can resonate with which is leaving my full time job. I'm so ready, like it's just more or less taking that leap, you know. But I have a partnership with my, with my wife, so she has been helping me in regards to like going to events and stuff. And she's in the world of real estate because she does photography. So it's kind of like everything is there, the resources are there. I took the course, I loved it. The personal development is just more or less committing and I know it's calling myself out and taking accountability. The biggest thing is following up. And I've, you know, kind of shot myself in the foot with that where I've gone to these events kind of established right off the bat, like a great relationship. But then I get caught up sometimes in my 9 to 5 and then lose that like, momentum. But I mean, overall, I have to say I've been. I'm very happy. It's been scaling. So I started in 2021 and it wasn't like, like a fast. I know a lot of students kind of just fly 10, 10k a month in like 6 months. That has not been me. I will be completely honest. It's taken me time to build, but I'm growing, you know, a lot faster than I've ever grown in my life, I would say. So, I mean, so, so far everything's good. So I guess a little coaching on how to get over that, like, I guess that self sabotage fear to. To kind of like, you know, move on to the. I know what I need to do. I just need to do it. I mean, point blank.
I'm so. It's like, you know, I love how you're not comparing your journey to anybody else's. So I love that. And I think a lot of people need to be inspired by this. You know, you're not turned off that other people making 10k in 6 months, you realize your journey is your journey. And so the point I'm trying to say is like, I want you to realize you're not self sabotaging yourself there. And I think so self self sabotage is kind of giving you credit for where you're not doing that. And that's a massive thing. So many students in our community are always like, well, how come I'm not doing this? And so I want you to give yourself some credit that you're not completely self sabotaging. I think it's a beautiful thing. I think the real question you got to ask yourself is why you're self sabotaging. Yeah, like, why aren't you following up? Is it because you're afraid if they say no, I'm asking, not telling here. Yeah, of course you're using a lot of self sabotage. It's really just preventing us from continuing to push yourself out of our comfort zone.
Yeah.
All it really is. And so it's a way for us to fall back into our comfort zone and so we can call it self sabotage. I just really think it's. You just protect yourself, which is fine. My coaching is why are you doing that? That's my coaching. Like, or why is it you think you're doing that?
I think it's getting past. I Mean, it's just being realistic, like breaking away from those, like, bad habits of like, you know, this is a process where I've noticed I've also grown as a person. It's a lot of it is like mental too, you know, like, you know.
This is 90% mental.
Exactly. So I guess shifting to that business owner mentality, because I did. I have radiant Notary Services LLC. I have about 50 today. I got 55 reviews, all five stars. So, like it's.
I'm gonna pivot you back to our main point here.
Okay.
Okay. So what is it that you think you're afraid of? Let's get these. Like, like, so you're not following up because it was easy to follow up. You do it.
That's just, I guess, reaching a level of success that I have never touched before. I guess getting there where it's always been, I've always been since I was, I guess, a kid, we're getting deep, just like kind of naturally talented. I love art, but it's always been like I have all of this talent. But like the saying goes, talent unused is just like, you know, so it's. It's like getting past that, I guess if we're getting deep, just really committing.
To something, this is where the growth is. Of course, because really the self sabotage is really you staying in a comfort zone.
Yeah.
And the question is, why are you getting out of the comfort zone? And if you identify that, then you know what you need to work on. Of course I can tell you. I can tell you do it scared. You already know that, right? Yeah, I can tell you. You got to do it for your. Why? You already know.
Yeah.
So because. Because there's a certain level of success, I know you're capable of it. So now it's my job to really kind of pale back the onion layer and have this conversation with you. And so I love what you just said there. It's like almost you're scared of what happens if this does work. Right. It might put you on a. On a. On a higher vibration. More people will look at you.
Which sounds silly, Right? Like, when I hear myself say that, I'm like, what do you mean? I Like, doesn't everyone want to aspire to do better? But it's. It's a lot easier said than done depending on what life you have, you know, growing up and stuff, so.
And what I love about what you said too is because I always tell people it's not about the money you make, it's about who you have the money you Make. And what's beautiful about you is you're becoming a whole new person. And I love that you're really recognizing that. So I think the next thing that we have to recognize is, you know, you are worthy of the success like you are. You are worthy of the spotlight. You know, if whatever happened before that made you feel like you weren't worthy of it, like, you got to tell yourself, like, I am deserving of it. And I think if you really have a moment with yourself and tell yourself, like, I deserve this next level. I deserve to be in the spotlight. I deserve for people to see me as successful. I deserve this. And if I can get you to. You can get yourself as a better way of saying that. Really understand that. I think you will. Won't be afraid to shine because you are beautiful. Like, everything about this is unfolding the way it's supposed to be unfolding. And I love that you're giving yourself credit for that journey. And I just think the next part of your journey is just falling more in love with you and realizing that I'm supposed to be here. You know, and I. And I said that a couple minutes ago, like, one more time from the universe than you need than right now.
Those interest rates dropping.
Yeah.
You know, it's great. If there's a moment for you to push out, it's when the lower interest rate market's happening because you know that there is a lot of money on the other side of that growth.
Yeah.
And so I love the community right now. People are saying, you deserve this.
Thank you.
Thank you.
And so, you know, it's. It's not. I think it's normal to like, not want to be in the spotlight.
Yeah.
I think it's normal for. To almost run away from the success.
I think that's so you, like, that's the best way to put it. That, like, that, like uncomfort with this being on this in the spotlight, that's. You hit it on the money. Yep, that's it. Well, I'm working on it. I'm working on it, Mark. I'm like, you know, we're sharing, but I'm. I'm doing it. I'm working on it.
Yeah.
The first step of. The first step of growth is recognizing, of course, you can't grow something that you're not realizing. Why am I not growing? So absolutely great. You got to do the rest of the work. But I think that, you know, what I love about you is just the reflection of your journey and the reflection of your growth. I think it's beautiful, the fact that you don't compare your journey. But I'm gonna tell you right now, the signs are on the wall like, this is your time. Like, this is your time. And like, you've built. In my opinion, everything you've been. Do. Been doing has been building to this low interest that we're about to come part of. And it's understanding that you know, that this is your moment. And.
Thank you.
The moment where you got to realize, I'm meant to be here. I'm meant to shine because you are like, you. I'm gonna start crying, like, you know, because, you know, like, what I want you to realize, like, I'm there with you. There was a moment in my life where I thought, like, being in the background was where I was supposed to be.
Yeah.
And. And because of what I came from and being in the foster care system, and I'll get deep with you when, you know, when you shuffle from home to home, there's a. That sense of, like, you're not worthy and nobody wants me. And so I used to feel that. So you're not alone. Right. And there was the moment when I stepped into who I became that my life changed. And I almost feel the notary business found me, and I didn't find it. And I hope you have that same feeling, because I feel like the notary business found you. And now this is your moment. Right. I tell every student, when offer door, when opportunity knocks, you need to answer.
That's true.
So it's like you're hearing the knocks right now. Interest rates. You built a business. You have an amazing support with your wife. Like, everything. Infrastructure is there. It's you getting out of the shadows.
Yeah.
And saying, I deserve it. I'm gonna be there. This is my moment. I'm amazing.
And.
And I. I can. I can empathize with the rel. With. With where you are, because that's how I used to be. And I just took a moment where, like, no, I'm not gonna be in the house. You know what I mean? I am lovable. I am enough. And so I don't know if those are some of your same feelings, but those were mine.
And so, yeah, I can resonate a lot.
Yeah.
Everything you're saying, it's hitting home.
Yeah. And so I'm just proud of you. Thank you for being vulnerable with everybody on here today. But this is your moment, so I appreciate that because I think from here, like, you, you know what to do.
Yeah.
Right. It's no coaching on the X's and no's.
Yeah.
I think I've been. I've been watching for over a year, so everyone that's watching now, it's. It. Everyone's timing is different. I've always been very kind of, like, nervous, and today I said, you know what? I need to just show up. I need to do it. And I pushed myself, and I. I've been for a year and a half just contemplating. And today I had the courage, and I'm glad that I did, because I feel. Thank you so much, Mark. I appreciate it.
I had a moment there. Thank you again. And so I think, you know, what you got to do in 2024. Yeah. Step out of the shadows, out of the background, into the forefront. And you just got to take baby steps to that. So my coaching on the way out here, since this is a New Year's, is, you know, just take time with baby steps out of that. That background. You don't got to go out kicking the door down like, you know, but. But be. Be very intentional.
Yeah.
This moment in your. In your journey. And like I said, you know, but the best part of business isn't the money. It's to become on the way when we make the money. So, hey, give me a little holler for me.
Thank you, Mark.
I appreciate it.
Appreciate you. All right, people ask. Bye.
Have a good one.
Great conversation. I hope that really helped anyone who listened, because if you're out there thinking, like, I'm not worthy of stepping into the spotlight, you are. Like, you're so worthy of the spotlight. You're so worthy of success. Putting out there. Put yourself out there. Scary. I get it. I do. When I first decided to put out all these videos on being a notary, and I'm as random notary in San Diego, like, I get it. It's scary. But at some point, you got to make decision to grow. This is your year to grow. This is your year to step into the light. When I say light, I mean your light. It's been vibrating and shining off you for years. It's just time that you see it. So don't be afraid. This is your year. I'm so glad you're here, and I want you to win. Set those big goals. Go all in. Let's go. I am so excited. All right, let's try to get someone else on. Jody. What's up, girl? How are you?
I'm good. How are you?
Good. First off, how was the holidays?
It was great.
All right.
My kids were happy, so I was happy.
It's My wife is happy. My kids are happy.
I'm happy.
So first off, tell everybody where you're from. What state are you from?
Florida.
Okay, so today is gonna be a little bit different than the past because we got 2024 girl coming up around the corner. So I want to talk about some of your goals. Did you hear what I said earlier about why people set small goals?
Yes, I do.
So. So now that you know why we set small goals, because, a, we have limiting beliefs, we can't reach bigger goals, or we're trying to avoid the work it takes to reach bigger goals. Now you know that. Let's talk about some of your goals in 2024. So I don't want realistic goals. I want real goals that are going to push you to do more because you have kids, you said. Right. You're a change maker. So they need this business to get bigger. So what are. Let's talk about the goals, and then we're going to talk about plans to reach those goals together. Does that sound good?
Yep.
Okay, so there's some goals.
So my biggest goal, my main goal is to go full time.
Okay. So I love that goal. That's a scary goal. I love it. At some point you got to quit your job, so I love that goal. So let's kind of work backwards from that goal together. Okay?
Okay.
So in order to go full time, how many signings do you feel like you need a week to really make that a safe job?
I've thought about it before, but since I'm still doing signing services, so it's kind of hard to do the numbers.
Okay. Okay. Let's work backwards. That's the purpose of today's exercise, to help you get more focused on what you need to do. So because a lot of us, like, you have this big goal, which I love, but we're lacking the little goals to get there. Right. So that's what today's session is about, though. So I'm trying to help you. So instead of asking signings, let me ask you this question. How much money do you need a week to make this jump to full time?
A week? I would say about 15.
Cool. So there's two ways we can look at that number. You ready? The first ways, we can look at $100 signing service signings. So that means you need 15 signings a week from a signing service. Or we can break that down into $150 per signing direct business, which means 10. So let's look at this two different ways. If your goal is to Go full time working with signing services. We need about 15 closings a week. How many signing services do you think you kind of need to have relationships with to equal 15 closings? You're going to get 15 closings. Do you think that's five signing? Different signing services? Six different signing services?
Yeah, I don't, I don't think it would be many. So I would think around like six or seven.
Okay, six or seven. So you see what I'm doing here? Make sure you're keeping these numbers somewhere. Okay. Write this down. I'm trying to help you break this down. Okay, so fifteen hundred dollars a week, fifteen signings a week. Or more specifically, you need six or seven signing services text messaging you. So to me, that's your goal. How many signing services do you have right now that text you on a regular basis? How many?
About four.
Okay, cool. So now we have an even more goal, a specific goal. So you need three more. So you see what I'm doing here? Okay, so now that you know you need three more. So my question to you now is, what efforts are you going to do to get three more signing services to call you? What's that? What, what are now, what are the efforts? Because we broke the big goal down in the small goal. Right. So now you know, it's three signing services. What are you going to do in the next quarter to help get three more signing services? To call my girl Jody. What's the answer?
I'm going to go to that list and I'm start calling.
Cool, let's get more specific here. So the list is big. So how many do you think? So of the signing services I love just hit doing here. I'm challenging you a little bit. I'm trying to give you specific things to do to reach this goal. So we got a signing Service list of 250. How many of those a week are you going to call to get yourself that three extra signing services a week?
I would say I can in a week, I would say I can probably do about 50.
Okay, so you now have your weekly goals. Did you have, did you see how we work backwards on that?
Yeah.
So now the question is, are you going to hold yourself accountable to those 50 a week?
I will.
Okay, how old is your, how old is your oldest child?
She's nine.
Is your nine year old within an earshot of your voice right now? Okay.
Yep.
Okay, so here's what I want you to do right now. Okay. I'm going to put you, I'm going to give you an accountability Hat. Okay. Who's your nine year old son or daughter?
Daughter.
Okay, so why don't you call your daughter over? Okay, Real quick. Do it right now. Call her over.
Chastity, come here.
I love it, but this is the hack on holding yourself accountable to 50. Are you ready? Okay. Are you. Are you signed up for. I'm about to coach you right here. All right. Chastity, you right there? I see. Okay. So, Chastity, can you do me a favor? Okay, mom, can you tell Chastity how many signing services you're going to call every week?
You tell her right now, call 50.
Okay? Every week. Chastity, your mom just committed to 50 different signing services to call. Can you do me a favor and hold her accountable to that every week? 50. And you be like, mom, have you made those 50 yet? Can you do that for me? All right. That's all I needed. Thank you. So, girl, you can't let her down, can you? No, no. So that's why I did that. You can't let her down. So now you have. Your goals are broken down into small goals. You now found a way to hold yourself accountable because you can't let Chastity down, can you? By the way, I do this little hack with my son. I want to get something done. I call him and I go, so dad's gonna do this. Ask dad. So you gotta hold yourself to this.
I like that. I like.
Yeah. Because me and you can't let our children down. Right? So that's why I did that. So now you know what you gotta do. Are we excited about 2024?
I'm sorry.
I wouldn't let you go, but, girl, you know what you gotta do. Fair enough.
Yes. All right.
Oh, my gosh. I love it. Everybody see what I just did? Do the same thing. Take a big goal, cut into small goals. Figure out what actions you got to do to get to that small goal. Start stacking those wins, and let's go. What's up? How are you? Hi. What's your name?
How are you?
Good.
My name is Deborah and I am from Florida. West Palm Beach.
We got back to back Floridians in the house.
I was going to text her and ask her where she's at so we can get together.
I love it. I love it. Okay, so 2024 is your. Your year, right?
Listen, I'm not playing. It's the Bible and then Mark. So whatever you say, anything, I'm on it.
Expectations, but I will take it.
I'm trying to tell you, all right? Because I. I have. I have my. My signing services. I've already done it. Sent them, sent them emails, everything correspondent to them. Okay. Then he was like, okay, you know, do it, scare. Do the marketing. Okay. I went and got some flyers made, put together some, you know, little, Little, little trinkets, went to a couple of title companies. So I'm. I'm doing it. I'm doing it all day. I've already got them. Go ahead. I'm excited.
Okay. I want to get you focused right now, girl. All right. My job as your coach is to harness that energy to money. So let's talk about some goals in 2024. Okay, so give me a big goal in 2024. Go.
So my goal is to have. I want to eventually have a signing service of my own. And doing that, I've already broke it down because I think I'm on every. Every live or everything that you. You put on. I put that. I want to make $700. I wrote it down. $700 a day. That's five. That's $3,500 a week, five days out of the week.
What I love about you, you've already taken big goals broken down, so I'm going to help you on that next level. Okay, so the next level here is getting goals towards activity, because a lot of us say, oh, I want to lose 50 pounds. And they're like, I need to go to the gym. But like, well, what equipment are you using? Are you using what? Cardio. Right. So I want to get a little more specific here. Okay. I just want to help.
Okay. Okay.
So what I love is everything you broke down. So what I heard is your goal is $700 a day. Okay, so here's my question to your $700 a day using, like, are you using what? Cardio? Right. So I want to get a little more specific here. Okay, So I want to help.
Okay. Okay.
So what I love is everything you broke down. So what I heard is your goal is $700 a day. Okay, so here's my question to your $700 day. I'm assuming that's all direct business.
It's a mixture signing service and direct.
All right, well, it's specific. Goals that aren't specific is just throwing it in the wind. So how many signing service signings do you want a day to equal that? 7?
105. Between 5 and 6.
Okay, so if you're doing 5 and 6, that's roughly $600. So you only want one direct signing a day. Let's change those goals yes. Let's change. Let's change it. Let's go half and half. Okay.
Okay.
So let's. Let's do three signing services. Signing service, signings a day. By the way, rates are dropping. This is all going to come to fruition. The other three, I want to come in through a direct business. Okay.
Right.
So this quick math that is 750 bucks, right? So you're golden. Right where you want to be.
Right.
Three signing services at 300 bucks, $100 each. Okay. That's you, what you want to average. And then on direct it's 150. So that is 450 on the direct side. 300. I love this. Now we're being more specific. You see what we're doing here together?
Yes.
Okay, now you're not just saying these things. You're starting to see these things. Okay. So now that we're seeing them together, we have three direct and we have three ss. Okay. So my question now is, let's break that down one more level. How many. How much direct business you have right now?
Nothing. I just started.
We're good. We're good. So we got to go from zero to three. Okay.
Yeah.
Now let me ask you this question. Do we see ourselves having three different escrow officers giving us that three or just one giving us that three?
My goal is one, but right now I marketed myself to several. So I'm like whoever calls me.
Okay, get more specific with you. I love this. It's a good exercise. You got me one on one. Let's keep moving. So we have. I want you to have a goal of getting three different directs. Okay?
Okay.
With one a day in each one of those giving you one a day. So it's three different. You want. You don't want the pressure of one giving you three every day. That's like, like not realistic. Okay. So now we have in our minds we need to get you three direct clients. Right. So now we got to figure out how many cards did you drop off before today? More or less. Give me a number. Five. Perfect. Okay, so we dropped up. We went to five title companies.
Yeah.
Of the five title companies, has anybody called you back yet? Okay, we need to increase that number. So what I'm trying to do is help you realize because what the goal here isn't the number. The goal is the activity. So right now we're over five. That's okay. I always tell every student you want to go to 10 and then see your ratio. So here's my goal for you. Okay, so how Many. How many? How long did it take you to go to five title companies? Week. Two weeks. I mean, how many weeks? One week.
What do you mean how many?
So you dropped off.
I went in one day.
Okay. Even better. Okay, cool.
So yeah.
So one day equals five title companies, Right? That you saw.
Right.
So what I want you to do in 2024 is I want you to have a goal of going to five title companies a week. Not a day, a week.
Okay.
Okay, Write this down. Now you have specific actions, right? It's five. Okay. Why do I like the word five or the number five? Because all those are going to need to be followed up with. So every week it's gonna be five new ones, five old ones to follow up with. Five new ones, 10 old ones to follow up with. So at some point you don't want to overwhelm yourself. You want to be realistic with this journey. So I like the number five. Okay. You follow me? So far, so cool. So now let's. We got that out of the way. So the goal on the direct side is five new title companies a week. Does that make sense now?
Yes.
Remember the next week you're going to meet five new ones but also follow up with the previous five. Okay. Then in the second week you're going to follow. You're going to go to five new ones, but follow up with the previous 10. Start compounding. You will get to your numbers. If I can get you to be to hold at 5 a week and also follow up with the previous 5, 10, 15, 20, you're going to get to your 3 a day. Does that make sense? So we did there. So what we did there is we turned your big goal into activity coaching. Makes sense. So now let's go on the other side. Okay. We have three signing services we need to get you assigning a day with. Right. So let's talk about that effort. Okay. It's not good enough to be like, oh, Mark, I want three signing services. What are we doing to get those three? So let's talk about it. Have you called up every phone number inside that. Inside the.
Not every. I say a good. A good twin.
Good. So now we have a new goal. You ready? Okay. So go ahead. I want you to call 5Signing Services a day. Okay. We can do that from our phones. So that's 25 a week. And by a month you'll get through the whole thing. Okay. Now what I don't want you to do is overwhelm yourself and call 25 in a day. Remember, slow and steady Wins the race. All right, so five a day. So these are goals to get you where you want to go. Does that make sense?
It does.
So what we did here is we took your massive goal, chopped up in smaller goals, and then we figured out what activities do we need to do to reach that smaller goal. Does that coaching make sense?
Absolutely.
So I hope everybody heard is hearing what I'm doing with all these amazing entrepreneurs. Notice I didn't call you a notary public loan signing agent. You're a business owner first. Notary public loan signing agent second.
So you better use whatever you are. Go ahead and tell me that's what you are.
Girl entrepreneur through and through. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, I mean, whenever you ever. So throughout the new year and you're writing these goals down, make sure you attend my goal workshop I'm going to have on the first Thursday. So I'm gonna do that entire LSS in the private training. But you have the groundwork right now on what you need to start doing, and that is make sure you realize we got to take our big goals, small goals, and then activities to reach those goals. So every step of this way, do what I just taught you.
Oh, I absolutely will. What? I said the Bible, and then you. But I needed. I needed to come on here to hear you break it down like that. Because I was just. I was just going. I was just going. I appreciate, you know, you breaking it down. It makes more sense now that you did that.
And it seems less overwhelming, too, I hope, because sometimes we start these goals and then we almost. The reason we lose, you know, most people don't finish their goals is because they get overwhelmed with them. And so this exercise taught you kind of slow down, break it down, and then attack. And if you can attack slow, but sure, you'll go it through the entire list. You'll go to 25 title companies. But it's like, oh, my gosh, I got all these title companies. Don't worry. Don't know where to start. Well, the answer is five, right? That's the answer. And so I would continue to do this, by the way. So what I'd say is, like, just give yourself an hour of your day just to look up title companies. And so don't we get overwhelmed? Because the saying goes, how do you eat an elephant One bite at a time, right? And so same thing with this. Don't try to call all the. Make a list of all the signing services and all the title companies, like, hour here, hour there. Does that make sense?
Oh, all right.
Well, I am so proud of you. Big goals equal big dreams. All right, I'll see you next week.
See you next week.
Happy holiday. How is everybody doing? So today is about goal setting. Jump on. If you need help getting to where you want to go with your goals, jump on today. Before I talk about that, I want to talk about something else real quick. Is why most notaries don't set big goals. Most notaries do not set big goals for one of two reasons. The first reason is, is we set goals so small that we can actually obtain them. Goodness forbid, we set a goal that's so big that we fail. And if we fail, people make fun of us. If we fail? No, but people think we're failures. Including ourselves, but including whoever is closest to us. So what we do is if we don't set a big goal, then we can't fail. Did that land? So the number one reason why notaries don't set big goals is because you're really scared if you don't hit them. I actually tell you you should be scared of hitting a goal more than you are scared of not hitting a goal. Because hitting a goal means you set a goal that was too small. You should make goals that are so big they scare you. That's the goal reason. The reason. So the second reason why you that you should make big goals because big goals create big action. The bigger your swings, the more likely you're gonna actually accomplish making more money. But if all you do is try to set goals on these little singles and you never set a huge goal, you're never gonna reach massive amount of change and transformation. So the number one reason new notary public loan signing agents or notary public loan signing exercise taught you to kind of slow down, break it down, and then attack. And if you can attack slow, but sure, you'll go it through the entire list, you'll go to 25. Title companies in general don't set big goals is because you're afraid of what happens if you don't hit the big goal. You're. But it's like, oh, my gosh, I got all these title companies. Don't worry. Don't know where to start. Well, the answer is five, right? That's the answer. And so I would continue to do this, by the way. So what I'd say is, like, afraid of what other people will think if you fail, you'll be afraid of being judged by other people in your family or friends. That's a little bit deeper. That is the truth. So I encourage you today to Set big goals and don't be afraid not to hit them. Be afraid of setting small goals that you actually reach. The bigger the goal, the bigger the actions. Which leads me to the number two reason why most people don't set big goals. The reason you don't set big goals because you're scared of the work. Let me say that one more time. The reason you don't set big goals, because you're like, my set big goals. I actually got to do something. I actually got to go out to realtors. I actually got to go to title offices. I got to go to networking events. So we set small goals because we're really afraid of the work. But this is the year where you saw the talk. The talk, and you start walking the walk. So don't be afraid of the work. Lean into the work. See, most people won't do the work. That's why they are where they are. Most people won't do the work. That's why they're not successful. But you're not most people. So we can't be afraid of doing the work. We know the bigger the work, the more likely chances of outcome of success. And most people aren't willing to do the work. You're not most people say, I am not most people. Put that in the chat right now. I am not most people. You're not afraid of the work. That's right. 2024 is your year. It's your year. We stop having these limiting beliefs. We stop believing we can't accomplish something. I am not most people that say, let's say it louder for the people in the back. Most people are afraid of the work. Most people think small. Just give yourself an hour of your day just to look up title companies. And so don't we get overwhelmed because the saying goes, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time, right? And so, same thing with this. Don't try to call all the. Make a list of all the signing services and all the title companies like our here hour there. Does that make sense?
Oh, all right.
Well, most people have limiting beliefs. Not you. You are cut different. You are cut from a different cloth. You're not afraid of the work. You know these limiting beliefs. You're amazing. You're worthy of success. You know what you got to do. You are not most people. You're a winner. You are successful. Let's go. All right, let's get. Let's get someone else on here. What a good day. Let's go, Patty. And then my man Jay Arthur. You are not Most people. Say it louder for the people in the back. Patty, are you there? Patty? All right. Patty's not there. Let's get up out of here. Let's go. My man, Junior. That is right. Let's go. Jay, Arthur, what's up? I am not most people. We. You do it scared. You do the work. You don't have limiting beliefs. You know you're worthy of success. You know you're capable of greatness. Let's go, Joan. What up, girl?
Hi, I am calling in, well, tuning in from Houston, Texas.
Houston, Texas. All right, so let's talk about some goals. What are some goals for 2024? Remember what I said. You got think big.
Yes.
And I want to tell you your message is right on time. Okay? I am not most people. I am not most people. And I'm so.
I am so proud of you. Big goals equal big dreams. Let's go.
Let's go.
On Christmas Eve, while most people were out with their families, I was home. And I passed my loan signing systems examination. Now, I've been signing agent for three years. I have a business called Joyful Notary Solutions. And my. My goal this year.
All right, I'll see you next week.
See you next week.
Happy holidays, everybody. Doing so today is about goal setting. Jump on. If you need help getting to where you want to go with your goals, jump on today. Before I talk about that, just get.
My back office more together where I have everything together on paper, I've been operating under my name for a while, but now I have my LLC and.
So I enjoy Joy. Joy, hear me. Small goal. Getting yourself together. Small goal. Let's talk about big goals. What's your big goal for 2024? Let's go.
I want to be a 10k a month signing agent.
All right, let's go. That could be. That's what I am saying. I know what Santa Claus brought all of us is lower interest rates. So let's talk about this. Break that down. So 10k a month is roughly $2,500 a week. Right? 20 $500 a week. That's more we're averaging here, obviously. So $2,500 a week. Let's call that direct business. Right? So we got to do about quick Math. There is 10, 12, 14 signings a week. So what are we going to do to get us 14 signings a week? So this is where goal setting is important. But now it's like, how do we plan the work to get to the goal? So we have, let's just call it 15 closings a week. Right? Let's call that three signings a day, five days a week. Okay, so you need to get three signings a day in Houston, Texas. What are we gonna. What is the plan to get three signings a week? Talk to me.
My plan has been going direct, and it's been working.
I don't want to talk about something else real quick. Is why most notaries don't.
And I have my first direct client a couple weeks ago.
Oh, okay.
So I've been hitting them, marketing my business.
Okay, let me stop you. Let me stop you. How many. How many doors did you need to knock on to get that one client to give you business at big goals. Most notaries do not set big goals for one of two reasons. The first reason is, is we set goals so small that we can actually obtain them. Goodness forbid, we set a goal that's so big that we fail and. Okay, so hold on. I hope you're following me on this. So six doors equals one client. So if you want three clients, how many doors you got to knock on? Okay, so one. So you got one client from going to six different title companies, right? Okay, so what? That ratio is one client equals six doors. So if you want two more clients, you got to knock on 12 more doors. Does the math make sense? Okay, so you now have a goal of 12 more doors. Okay, so now we're. You see what I'm doing here? I'm working backwards for you. All right, so going to 12 doors in one week is probably too overwhelming. But what I would say is knocking on one door a day shouldn't be a crazy goal. So, okay, so here's your goal. Starting on January 1st for today is your goal is to knock on one new door a day. Does that coaching make sense? So you just had this awesome goal of 10 grand a month, and we just broke it down to what you need to do every day. Does that help? Does that. Okay, so what my goal for you, if we fail, people make fun of us if we fail? No, but people think we're failures, including ourselves, but including whoever is closest to us. So what we do is if we don't set a big goal, then we can't fail. Did that land? So the number one reason why notaries don't set big goals is because you're really scared if you don't hit them. I actually tell you you should be scared of hitting a goal. You is understanding this. So anything else in your business, you got to break down the bigger goal into activities. So now you have an activity. But what I love about you is you actually have data. I hope everybody hears this. Every business in America is data driven. So I asked you for the data. One client out of six doors, so you have the data. Does that make sense? So if you want, in theory, five clients, then you got to go to six times five, 30 doors. It's all just simple math. Does that make sense?
Marketing.
Right.
And do you have to bring a gift every time you mark.
Good question. First thing I want to tell you is this. I'm gonna get to that. But do we understand what your goals are for the New Year's? How many title companies you're going to.
How many to 12 new title companies or.
There we go. One a day. One a day. Does that coaching make sense? Okay, so we got the goal for 20, 24. You go one a day. I promise you, you're gonna hit your 10k. It's breaking it down to those activities. Okay? Now I'm gonna. I'm gonna answer your question. All right? So remember, I don't teach you to buy gifts or that you are scared of not hitting a goal, because hitting a goal means you set a goal. That was too. I teach you to say thank you. You're about to. We're about to go into a title company and interrupt somebody's small. You should make goals that are so big they scare you. That's the day you're gonna be like, hey, I'm Joy, and I want to make money. And I know you're trying to make money for your family, and I just interrupted you, so I don't. It's not a gift for a gift. So what you're saying is very important, because if all you're doing is just dropping off a gift and you've lost what I've coaching. You're the first goal reason. So the second reason why you should make big goals, because big goals create big actions. The bigger your swings, the more likely you're going to actually accomplish making more money is out of your mouth. Is this first? I am so sorry I interrupted your day. I know that you're trying to put money into your family's pocket. So I just want to say thank you for allowing me to have three minutes. And I'd like to give you this to show my appreciation. You're not giving him a gift. That's not a gift. It's saying, thank you for your time. Like, you're being a real human. You're like, dude, I know I just ruined your day to a certain extent. I get it. And so I want to say you thank. Thank you for that. That's what I teach you. Does that make sense? Because A, escrow officers can feel when they're being bought. B, they can tell when you're being inauthentic. So your job is to create an authentic, real moment there. Does that coaching make sense? So it's like, look, I know I just ruined. Interrupted your day. And so because of that, I say thank you, and so that's all you're doing. Does that make sense now? Do you always need to do that? The answer is no. But. But is it always nice to say I'm sorry for interrupting your day? The answer is yes. So do what you do that feels most comfortable with the way you practice business. But I've found in my years of marketing, if I can break down their wall of like, you just interrupt. But if all you do is try to set goals on these little singles and you never set a huge goal, you're never going to reach massive to me. What do you want? By showing gratitude, then my conversation became easier to digest. Does that make sense? You got a little one, girl. I got a little one, too. Don't even worry about it. Amount of change and transformation. So the number one reason new notary public loan signing agents or notary public loan signing agents.
That is my why. That is my why. You know, I'm an adoptive mom, and I really appreciated you sharing your adoption story. Thank you so much. And thank you for all you do, Mark.
And in general, don't set big goals. It's because you're afraid of what happens if you don't hit the big goal. You're.
Yeah, I got big goals. I am not like most people, afraid.
Of what other people will think. If you fail, you'll be afraid of being judged by other people in your family or friends.
I'm not scared to work. I'm ready to work.
Well, you got your plan. One a day. And remember, with every one, you got to follow up with the other one. So you're always following up and meeting new ones. Always following up, meeting new ones. Let me end with this, okay? Because I might start crying because you're not like most people because your heart's so big. If it wasn't for you making the decision to adopt children, we're still gonna start to cry. Like, if it wasn't for my decision of my adoptive parents, I wouldn't be in the position I am now to help you. And so what you're doing for your little ones and Being an adoptive mom is literally everything. So it touches me like nothing else. And so thank you for doing. You're doing God's work, man. That's just the truth. And so thank you for having a heart so big. And you're definitely not like most people because it's a tough decision to make. And so from the behalf of the entire adoptive community, thank you for what you're doing. So, girl, you get me all misty out in the middle of a live, but I just want to make sure I said that because on the honest truth is, you know what we do. Money is a tool, and it's a tool to give back. And you're giving back in a way that's bigger than life. You're giving an adopted child that's a little bit deeper. That is the truth. So I encourage you today to set big a home and a mom and a family. And so from one adoptee to someone doing the amazing work, thank you for that and goals. And don't be afraid not to hit them. Be afraid of setting small goals that you actually, I'm rooting for you, girl. Let's build a huge business in 2024. Let's go.
Have a great day.
All right, bye. Oh, my God. Getting all cried in the middle of the live. I just. I wear my motions on my sleeve, man. We reach. The bigger the goal, the bigger the actions. Which leads me to the number two reason why most people don't set big goals. The reason you don't set big goals, because you're scared of them. And so, Joy, thank you for doing your work. Everybody else, let's build a 2024 business. Let's go. I am so excited. So let me end with this. What an incredible time to be a notary public loan signing agent brought lower interest rates. I don't know what else you want. The time now is to go all in. The time now is to build your business. I really need you to hear this. Your goals need to be huge in 2024. The reason people don't set big goals is because they're scared of what happens if they don't reach them. You have these big goals. You don't tell all your family because, goodness forbid, you don't make $10,000. And what are they going to think if you don't make $10,000? You're more scared of what happens of what they think if you don't make $10,000 than being excited about the possibility of making $10,000. Let that sit in. And so the reason you don't set big goals. The reason you don't share these big goals with everybody is because you're more work. Let me say that one more time. The reason you don't set big goals because you're, like, more concerned about what happens if I don't make them. You have a limiting belief that it's not possible for me to make $10,000, so I'm not going to set a goal of $10,000. You set a goal of $3,000. Well, my goal of next year is to make $3,000 a month. You don't want $3,000 a month. You want $8,000 a month. You have to stop having these limiting beliefs that you're not capable of more, because I know you are. We have to stop caring about what our friends and family think. If we don't have and we don't reach those big goals, you're more scared. Set big goals. I actually got to do something. I actually got to go out to realtors. I actually got to go of an opinion of someone you don't really even care about. And that's why you're not setting big goals. Because, goodness forbid, we don't reach a big goal. So therefore, you don't set a big goal. Go to title offices. I gotta go to networking events. So we set small goals because we're really afraid of the work. But this is the year where you stop to talk the talk and you start walking the walk that needs to stop. Today. Limiting beliefs in the growth out the window. In 2024, man, you're capable of so much more. And you know you are. You know that feeling. You wake up every single morning and you're like, I know I'm. I'm capable of more. It's in you. It's time to start listening. That feeling that sits right here in your heart. This is your year. This is it. You know what I'm talking about. When you're sitting down here, it's like, man, I know I'm capable of more. That feeling, we got to unleash that in 2024. And the way you unleash it is by setting bigger goals. Because the bigger your goal, the bigger your actions. The bigger the actions are. More likely you're going to transform into whatever it is that you want to transform to. This is your year, dude. Your year. Santa brought us lower interest rates. What are you going to do with that information? I need you to go all in on your business. I know you're capable of more. It's time to go get More. Let's go. And the number two reason. I want you to hear me on this. The number two reason you don't set big goals because you're scared of the work. You're like, oh, my gosh, if I set a $10,000 goal, then I got to go talk to five real estate agents a week. So don't be afraid of the work. Lean into the work. See, most people won't do the work. That's why they are where they are. Oh, my gosh. I don't want to talk to five real estate agents a week. When it really comes down to you being scared. What a real estate agent is going to say, hug that your child. You're worthy. You're enough. It doesn't matter if someone tells you no. It just means not right now. It means I'm going to come back and follow up with you. Don't be scared of the work. This is the year you step out of your comfort zone. This is the year that you go all in. This is the year success comes to you. Because Santa Claus brought us. Most people won't do the work. That's why they're not successful. But you're not most people. So we can't be afraid of doing the work. We know the bigger the work, the more likely chances of outcome of success. And most people aren't willing to do the work. You're not most people. Say, I am not most people. Put that in the chat right now. I am not most people. You're not afraid of lower interest rates like, it's your year. We gotta stop being scared of success. That's right. A lot of times you don't set big. Set big goals because we're scared of success. Like, what actually happens if I make $10,000? Oh, my gosh, am I ready for that? The answer is yes, you are. This is the year, baby. The work. That's right. 2024 is your year. It's your year. We stop having these limiting beliefs. We stop the year you go all in the year. You stop caring what other people think. And the most important person you got to stop caring what you think is you. You gotta stop having these limit many beliefs. You're capable of so much and you know it. You know exactly that feeling I'm talking about, that feeling right there where you know you deserve more. And you're like, how come I don't have more? And you know there's something bigger out there for you, something more you're destined for. You know what feeling I'm talking about. But this is. Either you go in on that feeling, unleash that feeling by setting these big goals and going out and doing the work to go get these big goals. You are not most people. Most people don't do the work. Most people set small goals, but you're not most people. So say that with me in the comments. I am not most people. I do the work. I'm not scared. I know I deserve more. I know I deserve success. You are not most people. Say it with me. I am not most people. This is your year, baby. All in. Santa brought us lower interest rates. What else you need from the universe? That you're in the right place at the right time. This is your sign. Rates have dropped over a point. Inflation is under control. The Fed's announcing Fed cups up to six times next year. You are in the right place at the right time. It is time to go in. You, time to do the work. It's time to get out of your comfort zone. Let the other people who are scared ask, oh, what happened in 2025? I want you to be like, yo, you. 2024 is the biggest year I've ever had. This is huge. And remember, goals without plans is just a dream. I'm gonna be holding a goal workshop just for loan signing system students next Thursday. Make sure you join up. I'm gonna sign up in the course. But this time is your year. So 2024, I'm out of here. And I end every single one with the same thing. I believe in you so much. I do. Why do I believe in you? Because I know how hard it was to make the decision to be an entrepreneur. I know how hard it was to get out of your comfort zone that I can build something for nothing. I'm gonna constantly remind you of your greatness. Constantly. So when I say I believe in you because I know how hard it was to get to where you are, you're part of the 10%, baby. I believe in you so, so much. But I just can't believe in you more than you believe in yourself. Let's go. Happy New Year to go Getterby, everybody.
