Welcome to another episode goal setting Mondays with the loan signing system. So glad you're here. If your very first time to this what we do, every single Mondays, I come on to help notary public loan signing agents build their businesses. This start off as goal setting Monday, but it's turned kind of into inspiration Mondays, motivation Mondays, Mark helping with my business Mondays. So I'm so glad of here. But remember, a plan without a goal is just a dream. You got to make sure that your goals have actual items to them so you can accomplish your dreams. You can copy what you want for the following week. So with that being said, if you've been here brand new for the first time, the way you simply do this is click that add button right here. I'm going to jump on live with you live, and we're going to walk through where you're at currently in your signing agent business, what goals you have for the following week, the following month. So make sure you hit the button right there. I'm somebody on right now. And let's get this party started. All right here we got big Jose. Let's go, baby. So if you're brand new to this, I add you right here. So if you want to get on after Jose, live with me so I can help you build your business.
What's up, Mark?
How you doing? What's up? First off, looks like you're driving, so be safe. First and foremost.
We're good.
I promise.
We're good.
All right, cool. Talk to me, man. Where. Where are you at with your business? Any goals, any plans? Let's talk through that.
Yeah, man. So my plans for this week is to get out there and market some more, man.
There's a.
We did get. I did get a little bit of discouragement just because, you know, we. It's. It's kind of hard. It's kind of hard thing to do to go and market yourself when a title company has their own inside notaries, you know.
Well, let me. Let me just stop you right there, man. A couple things I want to talk to you about. First off, you know, when there's a first thing, because this is goal setting Mondays, you said, Mark, I plans to market. We need more specific, actionable plans. The worst thing you can say is I need a market. It needs to say, jose, I'm gonna go to four different title companies this week. Six different title companies a week. Does that make sense? If you don't talk an absolutes, man, you accomplish nothing. Does that make sense? So we stop saying, oh, I'm going To market it is, I'm going to go talk to two realtors, three loan officers and four escrow officers, whatever that is. Because when you have specific numbers, then you know what you need to obtain. But if you just start off on Monday, oh, I'm going to market. Does that mean one? Does that mean five? Is it going to motivate you to go past one? Does that make sense? So I want you to start thinking in more concrete numbers. So every Monday it's like, I'm going to go hit up four escrow companies this week, right? I'm going to go talk to four lenders. So we're going to talk about that at the end of this conversation. But I want to get the mindset right because unsuccessful people have very generic plans for the week. I want to market, I want to lose weight. It's like, how much weight do you want to lose? You know what I mean? So everything is. Be more concrete to make it come to life. So with that being said, let's talk about something that I heard the word discouragement, Jose. The first. There's two things I need to teach you right here, man. Discouragement only comes when you have unrealistic expectations. You cannot expect to create a relationship with somebody one time going in, man, that's like, I don't know if you're married or not, Jose, or if you're dating somebody. You can't expect someone to marry you after the first date. You can't expect someone to marry you after three dates. Fair enough.
Yeah.
Why are you expecting an escrow officer or lender to use you after one time, two times, and going in, does that make sense?
Yeah.
So your expectations to be more in line with what really is effective in any business, not just being a notary public, loan signing agent, and the discouragement kind of goes away. Does that make sense?
It does. Yeah.
Okay, so first thing, man, just keep doing what you're doing. Follow up, understand that you can't create a relationship. And in two meetings, like expecting anything more is really letting your own self down. Does that make sense?
It does. Yeah.
Okay.
Can I ask you something real quick?
Yeah.
So, okay, my question is, so when you go to like a title company and of course, like how I said the whole discouragement, considering that they have their own notaries like the closers that are notary. Well, how, how can I get that business?
It's easy. It's easy. I was going to address that next. You're beating me to the punch. But I had to do some coaching before I Dropped in on the answer. So here's the answer. Okay, so look, bro, before you walked into that title office, they obviously had people they work with. Like again, you only get discouraged if you unexpected realistic expectations. Right. So the point is that you cannot walk into a title company or you know, and be like, oh, you already have notaries. Wow, I'm discouraged. Of course they do. Right. So what, your job is onto that rotation. So all you say is look, I'm sure the notaries you have work with now are amazing, but if they ever go on vacation, they ever get sick, they can't do a last minute appointment. Look, you've been in the business, dude. You know that signings can come last second, right?
Yeah.
Okay, so no matter how many notary public loan signing agents they have in the current Rolodex, they cannot be everywhere every single appointment. You know that, right?
Yeah.
So all you say is, look, I know you have an amazing team notary public loan signing agents already or you wouldn't be in business. But if your current signing agents can't make a 5 o' clock when you get docs at 4:30, if your signing agents are already booked for 7:30, 8:00pm, 6:00pm, I'd love to be the backup to the back of the backup. That's it. There's no discouragement there, man. Your job is to let every title office where you live through the script make sure. Remember, just because you're saying you're available, you still need to bridge that credibility. That's what the scripts for.
Yeah.
You enter the conversation with what I know you have a handful of notaries already or you wouldn't be in business. But if those notaries can't make the last one appointment, if they get stuck in traffic, their printer gets jammed. I would love the opportunity to be a notary public loan signing agent. You give a call to and then you got to go to 5, 6, 7, 8 different title companies. It's a numbers game, Jose.
Yeah.
One of them is going to use you just like the signing service game. It's no different when you sign up for all the databases. What you're hoping for is all these different types signing services use you last minute until you build that relationship.
Yeah.
Once you build that relationship, you're no longer the last minute notary public loan signing agent, right?
Yeah.
Dude, your discouragement is only coming from, from unrealistic expectations, man. This is a real business, bro. Just like when you, you're dating somebody or you're, you're trying to get someone to marry You. It might take two or three or four dates. Right. Is that a fair moment to say Definitely. Cool. So you might need to go in the same title office three or four times, remind them why you're great. That's the script. Remind them that you understand they have a current notary public loan signing agent database. But if any of those people can't make a six, can't make a seven, you know the pitch, man. Go in. And your job is to rinse and repeat, Jose. So get the word discouragement out of your head.
Okay?
This is a real business, bro. A real business is going to take patience and consistency.
Yeah.
Both those combined. It's not one or the other. Right? Yeah. I'm going to consistently go into all these title offices near me. And then all you need is one shot. Because once you get in, then big Jose is going to do what he does. You know what I mean?
Yeah.
You've got to be patient, bro. And you got to have a mindset of a business owner, not a mindset of an employee. An employee wants things to happen. Right now, an employee sees an objection and whittles up in a ball. A business owner says, look, I know you got signing agents. I know, let's move past that. But they cannot be at every place at every time.
Yeah, I guess that was my question. How to, how to. How to move forward from that? Not discouragement, but like knowing that they have closers that are notaries. You know what I mean?
Then you just keep. Just every day. They can't be in every place. That's what makes our business great, Jose. You know that. Yeah. You've turned down notifications because you were busy. True.
Yeah.
Okay, so you turn it down, gave the next notary public loan signing agent opportunity. Fair enough.
Yeah.
That happens with direct business, dude. That's what you got to understand. It's not any difference because it's direct versus signing service. A closer is already scheduled for six. They can't get to another 6:30. That's why the escrow officers need 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 different notary public loan signing agents in the Rolodex. Your job is to tell everybody where you live that you're ready and available. You use the script to bridge the credibility. This is why you give me the chance to. And then be consistent and patient, bro. You got this, man. Appreciate it.
Hey, one more question.
One more question.
One more. Because we got more people waiting. One more.
Okay, one more. So, Killer Williams, I dealt with a realtor on Friday at a closing and he's really, really interested in our service. My. I was thinking of taking him to lunch with the branch manager. Is that okay? What do you think?
I don't even tell you. That's okay. You know, that's okay. Stop doubting the voice. That's the business owner in you, man. So you naturally had the right instinct. Trust. It's my coaching.
Okay.
Trust the instinct.
Okay, perfect.
Go get a man. I go get them. So your goal for this week is four new title companies to tell that to. It's basically one a day.
Okay.
Can you commit to that goal in front of everybody? I'm expecting a DM telling me how it went. All right, man. I'll see you next time, bro. What a great call to kick this off. I get so juice talking to you guys. All right, so let's go to Yolanda next. All right. I believe your name is Yolanda. Let's go. So excited for you, Jose. Yeah. Remember, discouragement usually comes from unrealistic expectations. All right, it looks like I got Yolanda on, but all I see, Yolanda, is your ceiling. Oh. I'm like, girl, all I see is a ceiling. I want to talk to you, Yolanda. What's going on?
I didn't know this was gonna happen.
How are you? Oh, my God.
It's nice to meet you.
Oh, pleasure is mine. Pleasure myself. Where are you from, Yolanda, and where are you at in your journey?
I'm in Orlando, Florida. Further up from Orlando.
Perfect.
I'm really excited because it's. I got my notary with you a year ago, Got Covid. Got laid off, the whole nine yards. And when I had just started, I kind of just laid off a little bit. I'm full force. And I'd say that in the last week that I really dedicated myself. This month, I've got. I've had 12 signings so far, so I'm super excited. So I'm just. I'm just building myself up. I did a little course with Molina last night, so I'm really super excited. She's a great mentor, and I'm just looking now. I'm just, you know, baby steps.
Yep.
Right now I need to get off unemployment, so I need to triple what I'm. What I'm bringing in and then set a goal for the next three months. I want to hit that 10,000 mark over the next three or four months.
Okay. You London. So all I hear. All I hear. First off, I'm super excited for you. Slow as a. Slow is a speed. You're at where you're supposed to be at. I love your back up. You're picking yourself up. You know, the difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is simply getting up when you get knocked down. That's it. You're. You've gotten back up. Girl, I'm so freaking proud of you. But here's my coaching. So coach Mark's coming in. Okay. I heard a lot of macro goals. I want to get off unemployment. I want to hit 10 grand. Macro goals are pointless if you don't have micro goals. So you can talk about making ten grand, but I need to talk to you about how you're going to get to 10 grand. So. Okay, let's talk about that. Right? So what are your specific steps that you plan on? And I'm going to help you right now, but let's talk through it. What are specific steps that you're going to take to get to this 10 grand mo? So what are you doing this week? So talk to me about that specific step.
Right now. I'm still signing up for signing services. I'm working on that right now. I've got two right now signing orders and I've got CX choice right now. They're kind of on a low side. I said, you know what, I don't care. I need to get my feet wet and I have life insurance.
Okay, so I'm gonna stop you real quick. So, you know, again, I'm hearing a new notary public loan signing agent who doesn't have concrete goals. So there's 300 signing services in the signing. In the loan signing system. You need to sign up for all 300, that's 10 a day. When you say, oh, Mark, well, I have a few like, well, why do you have a few? Like, you need to start prioritizing the effort to get you to ten grand. So what I need from you today is to commit to 10 signing up for 10 signing services every day. That's by the way, that's still to get through all 300. That's 30 days.
So, right.
You kick that up to 15 a day. But remember, you have to start having actionable items. Concrete, like the Jose before. He's like, I'm market. Like, what does that mean? I'm marketing. Does that mean four title companies a day? You got to start having concrete plans. So I hope everyone's hearing me because you and Jose are really what new notary public loan signing agents do. And they speak very macro. Okay, get more micro. You got to get more specific with what actions are going to get you to 10 grand. So there's three. There's 300 signing services inside that LSS course, your goal is 10 a day minimum. 10 a day. Okay. That's your first actual. Can you commit to that in front of everybody right now?
I can do that.
Good. Here's the second thing I need you to commit to, girl. This is a relationship business. You're not going to get to 10,000 if you don't go direct. Right, Correct again. Like you say you want 10,000, so your effort has to match your goals. If you want 10 grand, you got to go direct. That's it. Okay. Correct. Remember what I just said there? Your effort has to match your goals. I love your 10 grand goal. So the second part of this is you got to start going to title companies, girl. So correct. What I want from you is one title company a week you go introduce yourself to. Okay. Not asking a lot. That's one, right? Okay, say it again.
I already have one I'm working on.
Okay, good. We need 20 more if you want to get to 10,000. One's not good enough.
Okay.
Every day you got to take more steps to get to the next part of your journey. Right. So I'm proud of you for doing the one I'm like in Maine, insanely proud of you. But my job as a coach is it makes you see the long term vision here. The long term vision. You got to go to more than one if you want 10 grand, which you can do. We have Lauren Ellis, Lauren Renee, and Orlando Tracy Archer. We got a bunch of $10,000 signing agents in your city.
We.
But what do they do? They put an effort to get to their goals. So girl, you're. You got 12 already. Okay. Know what you're doing? The paperwork doesn't change if you go to title officers. They're doing signing service, still the same paperwork. You hear me on that? So you're ready for the big leads. Now, my coaching is this, just because you walk into a title company today doesn't mean you're going to get one tomorrow. So my point is you're still going to get more signings under your belt by the time an escrow officer uses you. But a lot of new notary public loan signing agents go. Well, I'm going to start approaching title companies when I have 20 under my belt. But the problem is when you do start approaching title companies at 20, it takes another two weeks to get your first signing correct. Does that make sense? So I want your first signing with escrow to kind of match up with your 20.
Okay?
So that starts today. Because, remember, just because you walk into a title company doesn't mean that they don't need to hear from you again. So it might be two or three weeks before you land that first escrow. You're going to bang out 10 more signing services. By the time you get your first one, girl, you can have 20 on your belt. Are you ready? Yes. Let's go. I need you to believe in yourself, Yolanda. I need to do something every single day that moves your business forward. I need you to stop talking macros. You've done that. 10 grand's amazing. Okay, okay. It's absolutely phenomenal. You set the goal, now you reverse engineer it, okay? And the answer is, you set up all the signing services, you committed to 10 a day, and then you come into one title company day. Can we do that?
Yes, sir, we can.
Are you excited? Are you excited, Yolanda? Let's go. You got. You got your goals for the week. I just want to end with this. I'm proud of you. I'm so, so proud of you. Okay? Keep building your business every single day, and I'll see you in the 10k club. I got no doubt.
All right, girl.
I'll talk to you soon. Oh, my God. How amazing. Yolanda. I love it. I love it. The new notary public loan signing agents. I can feel the energy. I can feel the momentum building. Go build your business. Remember, remember, your effort has to match your goals. Okay? You've got big goals, you have to have big effort. It's that simple. So, Yolanda, I'll see you next time. Mark off on the video so someone else can come on. Hey, till next time. All right, we got next here. Yolanda's gonna get off by hitting X, and then we're gonna get somebody else on. We can go. Lillian. I believe her name is Lillian. I'm so excited for you. All right, remember, you know, in conclusion with her conversation is effort has to match your goals. You got big goals, you need big efforts. It's that simple. So I love the goals. I love the. I love the goals. But let's put in a game plan to get to that $10,000 mark, because notary public loan signing agents who are tank. Excuse me. The signing agents that are $10,000 a month aren't better than you. More effort than you. That's all this business comes down to. Effort. That's it. Every single home in America needs to know, what up? What up? What up? Lillian? I think that's you, Cor. Lillian, you have you're breaking up a little. Yeah, I hope. Are you on WI Fi? You're breaking up a little bit. Oh, I can hear you, but I can't see you. Maybe we should drop off, reconnect, and then add yourself back in. And I will. I'll pick you for sure. So, Lillian, let's have you. Okay, let me get someone else on. All right, we got glay. I'm just kind of going in order here. First come, first serve as you invite yourself. Excuse me. For all you guys who got back from conference last weekend, how amazing was conference? Drop some fire emojis right here. Some of you guys are having these great questions on the comments. Hit the video button, get on there and ask me, man. I try to answer the questions of people on goal setting Mondays. Put your goals inside the comment box below to hold yourself accountable. By the way, it was so amazing meeting so many of you guys at conference. Epic. So amazing. Oh, you see the fire images going down? These are all people who are at conference. Unbelievable. Okay, so let's get someone else on here. Let's go with Eric. Oh, my gosh. Are you seeing all the fire images? Conference was bananas, man. Let's go. What up, man?
Hey, what's going on, Mark?
Oh, man, nothing. I'm talking to you. I'm excited, bro.
Sorry. I miss you on my. Some of my mentees told you that I probably had an accident. So I saw. I'm sorry I missed Vegas, but I had a major accident.
Just no apologies necessary. As long as you're building your business every day, I'm happy. You know what I was telling Yolanda, I believe it was right. Life happens, all of us. It's how we respond to. It's that difference maker. You know what I mean? So you're here, bro. Let's start talking about it. What are some goals? And let's talk about how we can help. I can help you kind of really hone in on what the actions need to be.
So I'm a little bit further along. I interact with a couple of title companies, but I really. I know we've spoke about this before. I really want to build my own signing service. I know a couple of attorneys. My goal this week is to talk to four newer attorneys that real estate attorneys. And then I'm going back and forth with a major title company here. Take over three states.
Love it.
My specific goal that I want to lock in by Friday is I want to take on four new mentees. Where you do when you know where they take your course. I Go off of that course and I literally, with permission of the people that I'm. That I'm signing with, I take them along or I do love it, then they act as my.
What state are you in? What state are you in? New York.
So where in New York?
I'm in New York City, baby. Let's go. So, so here's what I say. You know, the first thing, we're here. As much as I love bringing other people under your wings, I would actually tell you that's not the best goal. It's tough to help someone else when your foundation's not set. Point being, if the goals are, launch a signing service. That should be your goal. If you're working on three different things, nothing gets the attention it needs. So before you start bringing people on to work for the signing, start bringing on for people to work for your signing service. Let's get the signing service launched. So first thing is this. First thing is this. Okay? Remember you. Sometimes as entrepreneurs, we have so many ideas, right? We want this, this and this. Where the real entrepreneur can focus on one idea, execute, move on to the next idea, right? Because an idea is a dime a dozen until it gets executed. And so what I want to reign you in a little bit is let's build the signing service first, help people second, because I want you to be able to give out a hundred closings a month to help 100 signing agents versus, you know, trying to help four, and then have maybe a signing service doing 20 signs a month. Does that make sense?
No, it does because I do feel stretched out a little bit.
That's right.
July, August and September.
That's right.
Really stretch.
Okay, so we're gonna. So let's, let's shrink it down, man. Let's shrink it down. So where are you at in the signing service building? First of all, I hope everyone is inspired by our man E here in an attorney state building a signing service because he's so busy he has business to give other signing agents in an attorney state. So I want to make sure everyone's inspired by you. Let's drop. That's drop, Eric. A little hand clapping image in the bottom. So where are we in the signing service part though? Let's just focus on that, E. Focus on that where?
With the signing service meeting tomorrow to see if I can get three states tomorrow. New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut. All attorney states, by the way. So I'm literally making my pitch. Thankfully, I'm coming from a sales background, so.
Okay, so have you, have you, have you bought my how to start your own signing service course yet.
I'm, I did, but I really haven't really even started.
Okay, so. So that's the problem. I hear it. That's why I said it. Yep. Again, bro, you're going 100 miles per hour. I need you to throttle back to like 30. So I would actually tell you as your coach, go back inside the course. Remember that signing service has built multiple seven figure signing services in the loan signing system family.
Okay?
So I need you to slow down, go back and just remember when you were first starting your notary public loan signing agent business, you really focused in on the how to do it, be a good notary public loan signing agent, the business scale. But right now, because you're already at such a level of success, you're almost forgetting the fundamentals of what got you here. Right. This is very normal, by the way. This is not abnormal. So. But as your coach, I need to throttle you back a little bit because I hear, I hear your entrepreneur brain where you're, you're moving at a thousand miles per hour, but you're really not accomplishing anything. And the reason why is because you're missing the fundamentals. So I need you to slow down, go back in the course. You paid good money for the same course that has built multiple biz signing services in our, in our, in our, in our community. Go back there, study that for this week. Come back next week on this live. Let's talk about the next steps. You're running way quicker. You're, you're, you're running before you're walking on this part of your growth. So let's get back, let's get you back to a trot before you in a full sprint. Is that fair enough?
No, it is, it really is. It's, you know, you know what it is, it, I like to help people.
Yeah.
And I feel the sooner I get started, the sooner I get started, the more people I can actually help.
Right.
I thought a lot of people, you know, in other words, I taught a lot of people who literally sought me out and said, hey, how do I get started?
Well, I love it. But the problem is you're, you're, the problem is you're showing people around a two story house instead of. Right. You're showing them a, a two story house versus showing them a mansion. I know you can show them.
Absolutely.
Does that make sense? So when you got. And again, you have a classic entrepreneur mind. I think a lot of people can relate to this. You have big visions, big goals, big Big ambitions, but and all when the fact is your ambitions are almost bigger than what you're able to give. And so I just need you to slow down a little bit and I want you to get there, but I want you to be able to give more than you're able to give right now because you're like, you're a thousand miles per hour. And I can relate to this, man. My brain works the same way. It's only the reason, it's only the reason I'm a good coach at this is because that's how I used to think. And now I'm like, slow down. One thing at a time. Let's build a mansion before we go to the next step. You're building a bunch of single family residences and you haven't built a mansion yet. So I want you to build your mansion, then bring people inside, help them. Because you've scaled it, you're able to actually put a thousand, you know, I'll give a hundred different closings out and changing people's live on a macro level, not a micro level, what you're kind of doing. So slow down, go back through the course. And I'm going to end with this. Your goal for this week is to finish the NLN course and then reach out to one fellow signing service owner in the group. Okay, now, and this is why I want you to write this down or memorize this. I want you to reach down to one person in the group as a signing service. Laura Tassadri, Tasty Archer. Deborah Smith Owens, Attorney state, by the way. Danielle Mills, Attorney state, by the way. Signing service owners, I want you to reach out to one of them. Okay, listen to me here. I want you to reach out to one and say, Danielle, if you could start your signing service over again, what would you do different?
Okay, I have good relationship with Deborah, so I'll get with same question.
So what I'm trying to have you there is don't make the same mistake she did. Look, full transparency. My signature has been around for 10 years. I'd be lying to you if I remember what I did when I first started. But that doesn't mean you don't have a community that you can ask those questions to. Because I don't want you making the same mistakes Deborah made when all you had to do is ask her a question and okay, you'll make it. Does that make sense? And then, so finish the NLN course because Deborah's going to start because she took the NLN course too. So be like, okay, Deborah, if you can do this thing over again, what would you do for different? That's how you build the business. By not making the same mistakes your other people have made in front of you. You're trying to go all by yourself on this journey, man. Slow down. Nln course. First, ask a couple questions of your fellow colleagues and let's build the business in the next 30 days.
Got you. I love.
Take care of yourself. Most importantly, man, hit me up in the DMs. Let me know the progress. Let's go, baby.
I will.
All right. All right. Oh, my gosh. How amazing was that? Oh, my gosh. Pooja, what's up, girl? You made me say, oh, my gosh. It's so good to meet you. Oh, my gosh, how amazing was conference again. Let's get to Jennifer Cooper and what an amazing goal setting Mondays. This is amazing. So if this is your first time, I bring signing agents on live to help them build their business, to help them set goals. Hey, Mark, how are you, girl? I'm better than. We're on here. So what's up? Talk to me.
I want you to know that in my first 30 days as a notary public loan signing agent, I did 50 signings.
Can we give her a round of applause? A loan signing system. Clapping everyone. Dropped the image down their brand new notary public loan signing agent. 50 closings. Jay, you know that I tell you to stop for a moment, appreciate the moment, but get back up and start moving on the next month, girl. So I also have to tell you.
Last last week I did my first direct marketing. Two lenders and two title offices. And I got approved and my first job, one of the title offices within 24 hours. I got another offer from the vendor a day after that.
Okay, so here's what I heard. Here's what I heard. First off, I hope everyone's inspired by that because really this business is mainly about effort. She just told you she'd market a direct and she got the business. Sometimes it's literally that simple. You know, what I coach you guys on is the hardest part that I have to teach you is just to push past your fear, push past your nerves, push past. You know what? I might suck the first couple times and it really is that easy. But here's the bigger coaching I want to give you, Jay, is it's your job to ride the momentum. One of my favorite sayings is momentum creates momentum, right? It's like when you first go to the gym and you lost a couple pounds. You're like, oh, Snap. Then all of a sudden you start eating a little bit better, working a little bit harder because momentum creates momentum. So it's your job to do that here. If you know the direct marketing is working, your job is to set goals of one, direct marketing every day. If you're already doing that, it needs to be two direct marketing every day. Your job is to ride this wave until you build a $10,000 a month business. Yep. So with, so the goal here is, you know, there's nothing I can't coach you on outside of because you're doing it. You're doing everything that I love and I'm proud of. So only my only coaching is here is consistency builds businesses. So if you know it's working.
Yeah.
Your job, not mine, your job is to be consistent in actually doing it. So it's no excuses. Right. The only difference between our $10,000 a month students and our 2001 students is just consistency. Right. So your job is the everyday market. Now the real key though here is following up on the previous days. This where a lot of new notary public loan signing agents go wrong. So here's my coaching to you. If you really have the audacity to go into 10 title companies, what ends up happening is you go to 10 title companies and now you have 10 title companies that you need to follow up with.
Right.
So you need to start having a spreadsheet of what title companies you went in, when, where, what was said and marking off my follow ups. Because sometimes new notary public loan signing agents get so gung ho and meeting new title offices they forget a circle back. Does that coaching make sense? So don't forget to circle back as my coaching one title office a day. Don't circle back. I'm going to end with this. So here's your goal. August is right around the corner.
Yeah.
Your goal is 10 to 15 new title companies next month to market to. I did not say 30. Okay. Specifically I didn't say 30 because 10 to 15 then means you have 10 to 15 title companies you need to follow up with.
Yes.
So too often new notary public loan signing agents market at 30 and they don't, they always email me back, well Mark, I mark it at 30, I'm not getting a business and just because the follow up wasn't there. So I want you to go one a day until you reach 15 new ones.
Okay, stop.
And then go back into a follow up process until it starts shaking out. If you market to 15, 3 to 5 use you. That's a Win.
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
Make sense. Yeah. All right, Jay. Well, that's it. You got your goals, go get them. Thank you for inspiring everybody. And you're one of the very few students where I got to tell you to put an effort because that comes natural. The only thing is kind of like Eric before you, who sometimes, you know, with my students like you and Eric, where you know you're moving at a million miles per hour, it's to help you slow down just a little bit. And that's why I said with you specifically creating some type of follow up sheets important so you can still capture all those follow up necessities unlike you know, because Eric was same thing. He's like you. Eric's like moving thousand miles per hour. I love it. Let's slow down. Can I tell you something? Say it again.
Can I tell you something?
Yes.
That before I went to those title agencies, I created the spreadsheet of all the title agencies I'm going to go to and exactly what you've taught us to do. So it's in the system and I've done my follow up for last week already this morning. So I'm following you, Mark.
Good job, girl. I'm so proud of you.
Thank you.
Let's go. I better see you at conference next year.
You are going to see me at conference.
I was looking around and worries. I know I'm actually not here but girl, I'm going to see you at calm because you know the loan signing system is the only conference in America that brings this energy in this heat and this enthusiasm.
I know it.
I know. All right, girl. Till next Monday. Keep doing what you're doing.
Thanks, Mark.
You're welcome, man. I love the last to students because those are the definition of effort equals success. You know, Jennifer and Eric are the ones who are like look, if I put in the effort then the results will speak for themselves. So I'm just so excited that those two roll back to back. You know, one's in an attorney state. So I'm just excited. Who we got next coming on here? I think we have Christine. This is your first time just goal setting Mondays with a loan signing system. My name is Mark. I teach notary public loan signing agents how to build businesses in the amazing notary public loan signing agent industry where signing agents can make anywhere up to $200 by staring at people sign their name over and over and over. What? There is not a better business in America in my opinion than being a notary public loan signing agent. Drop a fire energy if you agree with me, let's go. All right, so it looks like I am missing. I'm gonna go Christine one more time. Christine Moreno, I try to get you on here, but yes, I help notary public loan signing agents build their businesses every Monday. Live with their goals and helping them. Because remember, a plan without, without, without goals. It's just a dream. That's it. It's just a dream. So I need you guys to make sure that you're setting goals, small goals to equal big goals. Okay? So it doesn't look like she's going to jump on. Let me get to Nikki. Where is Nikki? See all those fire emojis? It truly is the best business no one has ever heard of. So remember, while I'm waiting for the next student is you got to set goals, man. If you're waking up on Monday without any actionable goals, you're literally running around in circles. You're allowing yourself to not be held accountable by you. So make sure you set a goal, execute that goal. Are you seeing these five energies? This is what's up. Okay, so it looks like. Nikki, I'm gonna go with Aaron. I'm trying to invite you on stage. You gotta add yourself and I will add you to the. Oh, my man. Hey now, what's up?
I was hearing other names, so I.
Wasn'T sure if I was on this live. Brother, brother, brother. All right, everybody, where are you from and where are we at in the journey?
All right, so first of all, it's so good to see you. Thank you for, for having me on.
So I.
Let's see, I was. As far as the course goes, I'm at the loan packaging side and I think I've gotten kind of bogged down in the marketing and getting signings. I got my first signing like two weeks ago.
Hold on, hold on, hold on. We drop them an image. You're clapping. Img. That's huge, bro. Huge. Okay, go on.
It was wild.
It was a power of attorney signing, so it was like really nerve wracking.
Yeah. All right.
And I put it in the, in the group, got a ton of support. Awesome. And so right now I'm kind of. I don't know what my goal should be, what my next goal should be. I'm going into the signing services. I got that database. I've kind of rejiggered it and made it suit me. A copy to paste it. Not sharing it with anyone, obviously, but I'm going through, I'm calling. And I know you said to make the script Yours.
Yep.
And so I'm doing that and I guess I'm pushing through some resistance right now where it's almost like that people pleasing part of me where I don't want to chew someone's ear off. But you kind of, you gotta push past that.
That's right.
And so there's the signing service part and there's what else? And then there's titling to escrow companies or marketing to escrow companies and title companies, which I've done. I actually called 10 this morning and like you said with the lady. Yeah, like you said with the lady in the last call. I have a spreadsheet of those. I went through Google, I saw all my local title companies. I'm in Northern Virginia and, and I've been calling them. I got an email.
What happened? Yeah, you're good. Let me just jump in. Let me just jump in real quick. Sure. First off, man, like the last two students, I love the effort. I can't teach effort. I try my best. You got it. So you asked me a question which I thought was a really good question and quite honestly I felt like I was hearing you think. Which was awesome, which is, you know, I kind of don't know what the next step is. Right. And so what I would coach you on is let's just take it one step at a time. So, you know, I like, I teach you guys, it's not about signing service or direct, it's about both. Right. Your business should be a combo of both until the dust settles in three or four months. We're like, okay, this is my, this is my groove. Right? So point is this, I want you to slow down and just start with the signing services. Make sure you sign up with all 300. Remember, there's a difference between the databases and the signing services. The databases are snapdoc, signing order, et cetera. And, and the signing services is that list inside the course. So first I want you to do is sign up with all 300. Probably 40% of them don't allow you to sign up online, but find out the ones that do. Right. Your job. Just kind of go find out which ones do. Then once you've done that, pick up the phone and call them, you know, and just like you've been doing. Right. And so that's called the Calvin Darvill method, right? Call them up, let you know this is why you should use me. Is that the Florida. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Reach out story?
Very inspiring story.
Yeah, I know. He's the man. He spoke at conference. He's Unbelievable. So, but so that's first thing, right? So just bang through that. The reason why I want to do that is because by the time you get through saying the script on the phone, the script is now yours, Right? By the time you get to call number 20, you're like, okay, I sounded terrible. That point doesn't make sense. That's not me. I don't feel comfortable saying this. So by the time you get to like 20 now the script's truly yours. Once the script is yours, I now want you to go face to face with title companies. Got it to then the script is now truly yours. You've said it 20, 30, 40 times. The nerves are kind of gone because you're like, dude, I've said this 40 times now. So you see, kind of the path I took you down here, it's just knock out one chunk at a time and then you're slowly building up your own personal confidence because it's starting with over the phone, you're not talking to anybody. You may be reading it, you're crossing out lines that you don't like. You know, by call number 20, you're like, Dude, I can say this in my sleep now. You go out, title companies go face to face, bring some gratituding in and knock it out of the park. So I think that's the sequential steps that you should start. Understood. Make sense that.
No, that makes perfect sense. That makes perfect sense. I'll follow up with you next Monday. And my other question is, what is your thought? I was doing this this morning. I was emailing title companies. I'm gonna stop approaching title companies. I think I've done enough and I have time to follow up. But what is your thought about emailing them?
Yeah, you know, so here's my thought. During the heart of COVID it made sense. Right now Covid is lifting up, doors are opening back up. You're be, you're now becoming a glorified email marketer, Right. I'm sure your inbox as we speak has a bunch of emails you've never answered, like, oh no, another person. So I'm not against it. I would use it more as a combination of maybe a talking point when you walk in a Sarah, I emailed you last week, you're probably busy, might give you something that you can open up a conversation with. But I wouldn't go keep following up via email because look, dude, you're a good looking dude, you got a beautiful smile. Part of you is what you're presenting, right? So you need to Go. You know, so here's my thought. During the heart of COVID it made sense. Right now, Covid is lifting up, doors are opening back up. You're. You're now becoming a glorified email marketer, right? I'm sure your inbox, as we speak, has a bunch of emails you've never answered, like, oh, no, another person. So I'm not against it. I would use it more as a combination of maybe a talking point when you walk in like a Sarah, I emailed you last week. You're probably busy. Might give you something that you can open up a conversation with. But I wouldn't go. Keep following up via email because, look, dude, you're a good looking dude. You got a beautiful smile. Part of you is what you're presenting, right? So you need to go in and be like, hey, I'm the person representing you at the closing table. So during the pandemic, the heart of the pandemic. I loved it. Now it almost becomes a little easier to crutch more than something that's effective.
Copy that. Okay, sounds good.
Hey, bro, I'm excited, dude. And then we have Sheila Lourdes out in Virginia, who's doing 10, 15 grand a month. We have a DMV group. Make sure you're part of that DMV group and make sure you're connecting with your fellow lss in your region. Dude, sky's the limit, bro. I can't. You know what I mean? I'm excited for it.
All right, Mark, thank you so much, dude.
I'll see you next month. Hit me up in the DMs, keep me updated.
Will do.
We'll do. All right. Oh, my gosh. I love it. And there's people in all steps of the process. I'm gonna try Christine Moreno one more time. Let's go. Christine Moreno. All right. What an amazing journey that he is on. This is so awesome. Every Monday. I love being with you. I apologize about missing last Monday. We had a conference and I kind of lost my voice. So with that being said, I'm back. As you can see, the energy still here because I get so excited about helping you build a business. All right, Christine, let me try jd. Where my man jd, this is goal setting Mondays with the loan signing system. If you're brand new. Thank you so much for jumping on. Every single Monday, I jump on to help notary public loan signing agents through their journey by talking through where they're at, by helping them set goals, and by giving them advice and tips that will grow their business. If you're brand new to the channel. Thank you so much for following me. This truly is the best kept secret in real estate. I'm not sure what other business you can stare at. Somebody sign the name on your times and you get paid. It's the best business ever. Okay. Does it look like JD's on? Let's try Nikki one more time. Nick, Nicky, let's go with you. Nikki, remember, I'm gonna send you. If you're asking to be put on, I'm gonna get back and head accept. You got to answer that or I need to move on to the next person. Okay, cool. That's like I am. I am striking out here. Somebody else send an invite to get on stage and ask me those questions. LSS student here is the only way to get a hold of you is via dm. Absolutely not. The Facebook group, the private Facebook group that you students are paying for is the best way. Don't forget we have a live TR with a signing service owner on this Thursday for a loan signing system student that's included. All the training I do every single week is to help you build your business. You got to take advantage of all the tools I give you. Let's try. Let's try JD one more time. Oh, my gosh. I'm so sorry about this. Everyone who's watching, usually they get on quicker, but. Okay. JD doesn't want to get on. Oh, is that jd? Yeah.
How you doing, dude?
How are you doing?
Good, man. I just finished a course like an hour ago.
Hey, give it up. Yeah, I'm excited. Hey, well, so, I mean, first off, I love it. Let me tell you something real quick before we jump into a convo. Repetition is the mother of learning. So I'm glad you finished the course, but don't think you can't go back in or you should not go back in.
Oh, yeah, I am. I'm going back in tonight for. I just. I actually, right after I finished the course, I went back to the section where you go through the documents. You was going through the documents. So I already started that. So when I get back home.
Well, I did. I love talking to brand new students. Talk to me. Where you at? Any questions? You just want some help setting some goals? Let's do it. Talk to me.
I mean, I signed up with some sign of service. I've been getting some, some. I got some notifications I had. I had to send my printer back to. To Amazon, so they're sending me another one. So hopefully be here tomorrow. So I haven't taken my first signing yet, but I hope this week I'm looking to take my first sign. And so.
All right, so hold on. Let me coach you. So you got the notifications? Are you calling the notifications?
No.
I appreciate the honesty, but remember, man, like I taught you in the course, the algorithm see that you have zero signings, right?
Right.
Because in the beginning, you're just based off of signings completed. Make sense? Okay, so that's why colon so important. I gave you a script on what to say in the course. Your job is like a. This is jd. I know you have. I know you see zero signings under my profile, but here's why you should give me the appointment. I can't say the script on the air because you're paying for that. Right? But remember. Remember what I taught you. Now everyone's listening to me. It's not illegal or against the rules to call the notifications, right? Too many new notary public loan signing agents are like, oh, dang it, I didn't get it. Come on. I need you to build a business, not try to win the lottery. Right? The difference between a loan signing system, student and everybody else is we build businesses.
Right?
I think you should build the business. Because remember, jd, I want you to. I want you to receive this, and I want everybody watching receiving this. There are two different notaries who enter this business. Are you ready?
Right?
There are notaries who are here to make money. There are notaries that are here to build a business.
Right?
Did that land? Of course did that land?
Right?
Because if you're off all you're doing this. You're just here to make money. You're not here to build a business. If this is all you're doing, that makes sense. So if you're here to build a business, you're like, yo, I get that I got to create relationships. I get that I might need to talk to someone so they know how good I am. Does that make sense?
Right? Makes sense.
Because once you create the relationships, jd, you're no longer gonna get mass texts, are gonna text you directly. Like, hey, are you available? Like, all of our students making five, six, eight, ten grand a month, they're not answering notifications that are sent to everybody. But you cannot get those direct texts until you create those relationships. Does that make sense? And that just comes down to effort, man. That's it. You know what I mean? Like I was telling our man in Virginia, right? You know, you should be. You should be signing up for the signing service list in the course that's given all 300. Then you should call them up. Because remember, JD, it's not rocket science. You have zero signings on your belt. Your job is to let someone know. Just because of zero signings doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing.
Right?
You have two certifications, right?
I've called a few, but that was before I was actually getting notifications. Okay, so I call notary go, and I don't. Yeah, I think they're taking. I think you had to call them before they actually, like, start.
Yeah. All I want is effort, man. That's the coaching right now, is just give me effort. You will build this business. The difference between you and every other notary public loan signing agent is most notary public loan signing agents do this. Oh, I didn't get it right. An LSS student goes, oh, snap, Let me Google the name of the signing service. Let me call the scheduler A. I saw you making a notification in my area. If you didn't give it away, you, here's why you should give it to me. And you say the script. That's the difference, right? When you go into other Facebook groups and they're like, oh, it's slow. It's not slow. They're just not building a business.
Right?
Oh, I'm getting. I'm applying for notifications. I'm not getting it. Oh, the market must be saturated. No, they're just not building a business.
Right?
Makes sense. That makes sense. Because. Look, look, man, you got to think like a signing service owner, okay? You. You hit accept, right? Mm. The signing service owner sees your profile. It has zero signings. Maybe it has two. Okay, the signing service owner says, oh, this person has two closings. Would you give yourself the signing?
No, not with.
No. That's my point. But what if the person who has two signings calls up and says, hey, I know you see two signings. Here's why you should give it to me now. Could you change their mind?
Right? They're most likely to give you a shot. Just.
The business is easy, bro. The business is easy. I can tell you what to say. I just can't have you say, I just can't say it for you. You know what I mean? But, dude, you're a young gun. Let's get out there, build a business. Look, you might get some no's, nose. Just me. Not right now. No just means I need some more information. Nose doesn't mean you're not a good notary public loan signing agent. No, doesn't mean that you can't build this business. No. Doesn't mean this business isn't for you. It just means I need to pick up the phone and do it again. You feel me? No.
Just means next opportunity.
That's go. Okay, so here's, here's your goals for the following week. Sign up for all the signing services. Okay. I didn't say 20, I didn't say 40. Said all. Okay, so there's probably 300. I think there's 280 in there. Do it in chunks. 10, 15 to signing, signing services a day. Just get through that bad boy. Okay. Once you get through it, as the notifications are coming in, you're picking up the phone and calling. But I need you to do step by step every day, do something today. It's going to build your business. Can we do that?
Yeah, I got it. I got it, man. I'm excited.
All right. I'm excited for you. Make sure you do that one on one with me. And don't forget we got a training this Thursday with a signing service owner. You should be on all though those are included in your course.
So I'm not trying to sell you.
On anything, but I'm trying to sell you on just get more educated repetitions of other learning. Use all the training that I give you. Fair enough.
Okay. I schedule my one on one for August 17th at 6:30.
I believe I'll see you then, brother. Until then, I want a lot of stuff on your belt so you have questions to ask me. Like Mark, this happened, this objection that I got how to overcome this. So I love that you have it planned out so you get some things under your belt so you can ask me one on one questions on real, real signing agent experience.
Okay?
All right, thank you. Keep it going. Later. I love, love talking to new notary public loan signing agents. Everyone I'm talking today is all about effort. Everyone's giving mass effort. I got time for one more person. Christine Moreno. I'm going to try one more time. Girl, you've been on there since like 1205. So let's try one more time. Are you guys inspired? Are you ready? Let's go build a business. Remember the difference between successful people, let me say successful notary public loan signing agents and the ones who can't scale. It's just effort. It's just believing in yourself, knowing that you are meant to be in this business. It's by not letting discouragement overcome. It's about setting realistic expectations. It's about understanding that patience grows businesses. It's about understanding that consistency grows business. And the signing agents making ten grand a month are just patient. They're just continuing consistent. They're not better than you. They don't have more personality than you. They haven't done more signings than you necessarily. It's just they understand that if they don't tell people they're open for business, no one will know they're open for business. Let's do one more person. Victoria, let's get you on right now. How's everybody's Monday doing? Is everybody excited? Everyone went to conference, was so epic to meet you, ride the momentum. Is this Victoria?
This is her.
What's up, girl?
Hey.
Hey.
Good. Yes, that James.
Say what's up buddy. Mine's three. Mine's almost four. I remember those days.
Yeah. Seven months.
Oh, seven months.
He's the reason.
So I love it. Well, let's talk about your why we're going to build for your wives. What I should say. Where are we at in our journey? Talk to me.
So I just started, I actually maybe about a week ago just found out about loan signing agents in general. I have a mortgage overall background for about 10 years and I was like, hey, I don't want to work a 9 to 5 anymore. This is my reason I signed up. Well, I'm an. I put in my notary application.
Okay.
So I haven't signed up for any courses or anything. I've been doing a lot of your research, kind of reading a lot of your clients reviews, you know, your customers reviews. I don't even know where to go. So here to listen to it all.
I love it. I love it. So. So you're not yet a student. Is that what I heard? Right. Right. Okay.
I don't even have my notary.
I'm new, I'm ready.
I'm gonna tell your goals for this week. Okay.
Okay.
Look, I don't, I don't want this to be a huge sales pitch. My biggest, my biggest advice to anybody watching this who is interested in the industry is to not do this on your own. I am not the only notary public loan signing agent trainer out there. So my advice to you is go through the different notary public loan signing a trainer, see who you resonate with. Maybe I got too much energy. Maybe I'm a little too crazy. I don't know. That's cool because I'm not for everybody. But what I want you to do is not make the mistakes that people do by going at this by themselves. I talk to notary public loan Signing agents every day who are like man, Mark, I wish I just would have listened to someone in the beginning because you end up spending more money, you end up doing this mistakes that you can just copy someone else and not make those. So what I would suggest is now that you know, you know what I wanted, I want in the industry. I think your next goal is to simply kind of research online, on YouTube, on Instagram, the different trainers and to see who your personality message, you know. Because here's my honest truth. I think everyone's amazing. You know, I will never talk down about another notary public loan signing agent trainer. I think everyone brings great value to their students. So I just think you find out who the personality fit is for you and just kind of go from there. I think that that that's the next step. So my goal for you is just to research all the trainers. Stop researching the industry. You can research the industry to your face turns blue. You know that every home needs a notary. You know that notaries are making 150 bucks for an appointment takes an hour. You know all that. So I think the next step is just figuring out what coach you, you, you, you kind of attract to and then go all in on that coach. So that would be my best advice to someone kind of looking in the industry. The industry is amazing. You know that interest rates are sub 3%. I mean we're going to be continue to be busy like crazy. But congratulations on your why seven months. Yeah, it's your only baby, but yes. So girl, you're coming out of the fog. I remember that.
So I have a question, one question. What is an attorney state? Because apparently I'm in Alabama and that is an attorney.
Okay, good question. I got some of my best students in Alabama. Dallin messenger does $10,000 a month. So what I would tell you on a side note when you're looking at trainers is look at the communities. Okay, so I have a fairly large community. The point of that isn't to brag. The point is I can plug you into other people in Alabama.
Yes, please.
So some of these other trainers are amazing, but you know, their communities aren't quite as big. And so I can plug you into other Alabama notary public loan signing agents. I have a lady who Sherry Stratford, 74 men, Alabama making five grand a month. So I will plug you in with other Alabamians.
That's how you say yes.
So an attorney state is, is only. There's really no difference in an escrow state, an escrow officer is the Middle person between the bank and the lender. In an attorney state, the attorney is the middle person between the bank and the lender. So they're essentially the same thing.
Yes.
The only reason you hear like, oh, no, I'm in an attorney state is because attorneys have notaries in their office.
Okay.
Unlike an escrow state, so your availability for appointments relies on evenings and weekends because they're not sending out their employees because they got to get driver's insurance, crash insurance, etc. But number two is in a busy market like this, most attorneys have one or two notaries in office, not five or six. So even if they have notary public loan signing agents in their office, it doesn't mean that they have enough notaries that fill all the appointments during a hot market like this.
Well, and I was listening to your script that said, hey, I know you have these amazing.
That's right.
Notaries. But you know, if you need someone, be the backup. The backup. So. Okay, I appreciate that.
You're welcome. So hopefully I will have you as a student. But, yeah, know that I'm rooting for you, girl. Okay.
Appreciate it. Yeah, thank you so much.
That was amazing. That is a full gambit. People trying to start throwing signing service to people who are not even LSS students. I'm here. I'm a champion for every single one of you. If you're not an LSS student, know that I'm rooting for you, man. Period. Even if you don't become one of my students, there are so many amazing trainers in this industry. Follow someone that you relate to, that you resonate with and go build your business. I am very proud that we have the one of the largest communities in the country with notary public loan signing agents. We have notary public loan signing agents in every single state. So if you're an LSS student, make sure you're in your state groups. Network with everybody else. Build your business. And like I posted today, don't ever stop dreaming. Don't ever stop believing. Work your tail off. Let's go. Be blessed, everybody. Go out, work. Let everyone know you're open for business. I'm out of here. Bye.
