A notary signing agent making $154,000 a year walks through her exact script for calling law offices and title companies. She introduces herself, mentions a nearby signing with a bank, asks for the decision-maker, and grabs a business card if they're unavailable. The goal is quick access and a follow-up.
Deborah, how much money did you make last year?
$154,000.
And an attorney states people kind of through the front and end process of how you get business. So kind of what you say when you walk in, what are you bringing? If you are gratituding, teach them exactly what you do.
Okay. So when I walk in, I usually do my intro, usually to the receptionist. And I'll say that I am a seasoned notary public loan signing agent that's in your area. I actually have a signing that's taking place down the street with bank of America, Wells far, someone that they may know. And then once I do that, then I say, I'm just stopping by to see if I can speak to John. Is John in the office today? If they say John's in the office, then they'll bring John out. Because I'm asking to speak with John. They don't know that I don't know John, but they'll bring him out. If John's not in the office, I'll say, great, no problem. I'm just dropping by. I don't have a whole lot of time. I just want to get his business card because I want to make sure that nothing's changed from what I actually have on file for him.
That's good. Keep going. So let's say John's there.
