Notary Tip: What to Do While Marketing Directly to Real Estate Professionals

Hugo and a co-host explain how notaries should market to real estate professionals by focusing on solving their problems instead of asking for business. Build trust first, get referrals later.
So whenever you want to show up to a new prospect, like I said, you want to make it about them, not about you. How can you help their business grow? How can you facilitate their business, make their life easier? Once people realize that you're there to help them and not just for yourself, they'll build that trust. You'll build that trust with them and eventually you'll contact you.
You're not going in asking for a signing. You're going and asking how I can outgrow your business, how I can facilitate you.
Yep. Because at the end of the day, it's about making your partner into making a dream happen for their clients. So it's for them. It's basically for the signer of the buyer or the seller of the home. It's not for you, it's not for the title companies, for making someone else's dream come true.
I hope everyone's mind is blown. Hugo's. And going and asking for business that goes against what every notary who's watching this believes in. He's a loan signing system student, so he knows that if you go in asking for business, then you're giving them a yes or no proposition first off. But if you never ask for business, they can't give you no, which means they can't get rejected. That's what Hugo's trying to tell everybody is they can't reject you if you're not asking. They can't reject you if you are certain serving. So what he's doing, he's walking in saying, hey, I want to serve you. There is no yes or no, so there's no rejection possible. And if you serve, eventually they will call. I mean.
