I always tell you that gratitude is the main reason I'm so successful. I always tell you that so many notary public loan signing agents actually don't say thank you to escrow officers. That would probably blow your mind. So I wanted one of my clients. This is Jozelle from First American. How are you? I want you to have a conversation with her about how many notary public loan signing agents actually don't show appreciation out there. And if you actually start saying thank you and showing appreciation, escrow officers will actually start recognizing you because there's so few notary public loan signing agents who say the word thank you or show appreciation. So once again, this is Joselle from First American. She's been here 15 years. So in 15 years, Joselle, in your experience as an escrow officer, how many notary public loan signing agents you actually think say thank you or actually just show any type of appreciation for the business you give them?
Not too many, Mark.
Is that crazy? So, like, I mean, you've. How many notary public loan signing agents have you hired over 15 years? Thousands.
A lot. I mean, in a day, probably, if you get six sets of docs, that's six sets of notaries.
And of those six notaries who return the docs the next day, how many do you think actually take the time to say, thank you, Jozelle, for the business you just gave me?
Well, if it's you, Mark, I always get a thank you. But there are, you know, some that just drop off the docs at the front and you don't even see them. You don't even shake their hand. It's just, oh, the docs are here. Not even an email or. Or any type of thank you.
And if a notary would say thank you, make sure that you come up to the front, say thank you for the business. Would you remember them next time for a signing opportunity?
Absolutely. You know the face. You know, dropped it off. You know, who did your docs, how good of a job they did. You know, that's absolutely. You remember the face.
You know, I always tell you, and you always think I'm just kind of making this up, that gratitude is literally what I really, really built my business on. Like, I think Joselle can attest to this. I tell her thank you on every single signing. She's given me thousands of signings over the years. And on every single one, I say thank you for your business. I'm so appreciative. And I believe, Joselle, that's why you kind of enjoy working with me.
Absolutely.
So the best piece of advice that I have for anybody watching this right now, and Joselle is giving it to you too, it's just show your escrow officers appreciation for the business you're giving them because so few notary public loan signing agents do that. If you do, you're actually going to get more business. Thank you so much for taking a couple minutes with us today and trying to help these signing agents out there get more business by simply showing appreciation.
Simple. Thank you.
