To another episode of Goal setting Monday with the loan signing system. So happy you're here. If you're here for the very first time, this is where I get on every single Monday to help you set goals for the following week, month or even year. Because remember, a goal without a plan is just a dream. So every single Monday, no matter where you are in your notary public loan signing agent business and your journey, I'm here to help you stay accountable. I'm helping you to help goals and help you to give some advice. I'm going to help you to help you build your, your signing agent business. Hi, Jen, how are you doing? So glad everybody's here. So the way this works is there's a little ad button, camera button right here, I think on your screen, or maybe it's on this side, but nonetheless, jump on live with me and let's talk about some of your goals. Because just because you wake up on a Monday and say, hey, I want to make, I want to have 10 signings this week, well, it doesn't mean that. Oh, we have someone on already. Let's go. All right, Leo, it looks like Israel lost. Jen, Jen, if you want to jump on, please do, but I see too many notary public loan signing agents. Just wake up on a Monday.
Hi, Mark.
Let's go. What is up, Jen? How are you? I'm good.
I got my second Covid shot this morning so I'm fighting to stay awake.
Till 12 o' clock so I can be here. Oh my God, I'm so glad you're here. Well, girl, let's talk about it. Some goals this week?
Yeah, I had, I set goals for this week. Last week was to finally get to my NNA loan signing. Yeah, I passed this morning.
Congratulations.
So I'm waiting for my background check to come through and my printer will be here this week and all my pieces are moving because I can't. I'm not starting to go out until my son gets out of school the second week of June just because scheduling issues. But I spent a lot of time last week researching title companies and contacts with title companies and so I hit all my goals last week.
Okay, cool. So let's set some new goals. You ready? Yeah. So you know, you're probably with my. Math is right four weeks out. So we're going to hit the ground running.
Right.
Preparation is what builds businesses. So I love that you've made lists of title companies. Here's what I want you to do though. I coached you guys on this a couple weekend weeks ago about Networking 2.0. Networking 2.0. Remember, the best networkers are the best givers. Remember that. Right? And so what I want you to do this week, though, is I want you to take inventory, your personal network. Okay? So I want you to sit down, literally, a spreadsheet. I want you to write down all your per. Your friends, your family. What do they do? I then want you this week to. They take inventory of everyone you know that owns a home, because why? They all know a realtor. So I think the biggest mistake notary public loan signing agents make is they don't take inventory of how close they are to realtors, escrow officers, lenders, title officers, because they're not really sitting down and really thinking through it right on the top of the head, like, oh, well, Susie, she's an agent. Oh, John, he's a lender. But if you really go like, okay, let me take inventory. And I say inventory, I also mean your Facebook feed. Right, right. Like, go literally sit there tomorrow, tonight, go through all your friends list. And then, oh, my gosh, I forgot about John. I haven't talked to him for 10 years, but he's a loan officer. Boom. You make inventory of that. Okay? So then once you have inventory of everybody, you then have a script, right? So when you're ready to go out, you just take the script, you start marking yourself to them. But too many times, notary public loan signing agents forget about the personal network they have, right? And the friends and family who own a home. I mean, my guess is you probably know at least five, five to six people who own that. Yeah, that's my point. And those are all people who had a realtor to sell them the property. You should be having your friends introduce you to the realtors that they were selling the property. So point is, girl, by the time you're ready to rock and roll in June, you should have all the title companies that down. I gave you a list of all the signing services. I got it. And of course, you now want to make in personal inventory of all your friends and family. Everyone owns a home. So just sit down, make inventory. So when you're ready now, you know what to say to everybody on that list. You know how to follow up with everybody on that list. You don't need to think about what to say. I just need you to write down what to do. So when you're ready to. Does that sound good? Yes, it does. Okay, so I want you to check, I want you, this time next week, whether it's a Facebook group. Or here, be like, Mark, I made that spreadsheet of every single person that I know, whether they own a home, one directly to me and have a big spreadsheet. There's 45 names on there. That's what I want done by the end of the week. Can we do that? Absolutely. I'm so excited. I'm so excited for you. Let's go. Yeah. Yay. Thank you. We have a blessed week. Stay awesome and I'll see you in the group. Okay, Sounds good. All right, bye. How awesome was that? Jen right out of the gate wants to start making an inventory of their network. Even if you're not a loan signing system student, let that be a piece of advice for you. The most biggest thing that we do as signing agents is we forget to take inventory of our personal network. So let's get somebody else on right now so I can help you build your business or your goals. Excuse me. For the following week because remember, so many notary public loan signing agents wake up on a Monday say hey, I want to make $1,000 this week, but there's no plan. Successful notary public loan signing agents, successful business owners never wake up on a Monday and go, huh, what's next? They always go, well, I know exactly what I'm going to do to accomplish the goals that I want. Looks like someone else is about to jump on with us right now. Jedediah. So I'm so excited just for you being here for this your very first time. Welcome. This is goal setting Mondays with the loan signing system or I. Jedediah, my man, how are you?
Good, good. Mark, how are you?
Good, good, good. Do some follow up with me. How would you, how was your plans go last week?
They went pretty well. So I took marketing cupcakes to about six escrow officer offices and I've been signing up for signing services and calling to follow up. So going through, I'm going, going through the rigor mo roll of getting started. So yeah, I'm looking, I'm looking to get my first signing this week. That's my goal.
Okay, so here's what you do remember, fortune is in the follow up. Okay, so everybody you dropped off cupcakes to last week follow up via email and then I want you to follow up in person. Okay? So like right now, after we get off of this, all six people a this is Jenna died stopping your office last week. First of all, hope that you have an amazing week ahead. I just want you to know that if there's anything you need, I am here to Help put in part of the script in the course in there to remind them of your qualifications notifications. Okay, so just kind of give them a reminder email like a mini signings this week. I'd love an opportunity to show you how great I am. Remember, script, script, script, script, script. Boom. Hit send. Then on Wednesday you do an in person follow up if you have not heard back from anybody. And so then you go back to people you ever heard from and say, hey, so I could get pop in again, say hello. Remember, remind you that I'm here if you need me in case one of your signing agents can't make a signing. And then it's just repetition. Rinse and repeat. Right. But remember they don't because we have to see a lot of mistakes notary public loan signing agents make is like, oh my God, I had such a great first impression. But you don't know what they were doing. Right. You could have walked in while they're putting out a fire. You could have walked in with her. They're about to hit record on one of their deeds and the middle name was wrong. So you know, it's so, it's a little bit naive like, oh, I know they remember me 100%. So you know, because so many people do. You know what I mean? So I want you to make sure you follow up via email and then follow up in person. That's what I want by the end of the week. How's that sound? Good?
Yeah. So I will do my best with working to be able to get out and follow up in person. But I did start in sending emails this morning. So I sent to the people I was able to meet with, the people I plan to meet with. I went in and I was like, can I, I'm here to meet so and so I did follow up with that with them in email, but to the people, but to the people I was not able to meet with personally because they weren't there or, or what have you. You still suggest that I send an email to that person as a follow up.
Yes. And remember, the biggest key though when you're writing your follow up emails is too often I see you students just make a, it's me, I came in last week. You still need to write down why you're a great notary public loan signing agent so you still need to write down use the script is my point. Like don't forget. Because sometimes they're like the reason seeing the script every single time is so important is because repetition is a mother of them learning about you too. So you're like, oh, that's right, they'll do XYZ for me. You know what I mean? Because they may have had another notary approach. But if you're the one consistently feeding in the brain, this is what makes me different. This is what makes me great. They're going to be like, okay, I need to give this person a chance. You're constantly reminding them, so don't just follow up with like a. That was me. You came in last week. It is, remember, this is why you need to give me a chance, an opportunity. And so continually say the your qualifications, which is just a script. So you don't need to reinvent the wheel. You know what I mean, man?
Yeah, man.
Look, your email say the same thing and your in person follow up say says the same thing. So don't veer from saying the same thing. Does that make sense?
Totally.
All right, follow me next week.
So it. So in the follow up email, do I ask to. To set up an in person. To set up an in person appointment?
No, no pressure on like that. Just that you're more reminding them that you're there. Okay. You're just gonna pop in because the reason that you don't want to do that, and it's a good question, the reason you don't want to try to set the employment appointment in the email is that you allow them to get out of it. Because then it's weird when you go, hey, can I pop in next week? You're like, no. And then you pop in. You know what I mean? But if you just pop in, then nothing is awkward. Does that make sense? So you don't want to give them the ability to turn down your walking in. Okay, cool. So you're just, via email, you're just reminding them you're there. It's called, it's called top of mind marketing. That's literally the phrase top of mind marketing. It's the same reason why you see Budweiser every other commercial. I don't think I've ever drank Budweiser, but Budweiser's always reminding me that they're there. Does that make sense? So it's called top of my marketing. So your emails aren't supposed to be anything more than I'm over here. You're in person is where the real exchange of conversation happens. That makes sense. So yes, it's here where I am. Here's what I want to remind you of my qualifications. Again, that's just the script. And then your in person pop ins is Your moment of, like, connecting all these emails to the person. Does that make sense?
Totally.
Follow up. I want you to follow every single one of them this week. That's your goal. Fair enough. And then I'm gonna get that first signing, man. Put that out into the universe.
Yes.
All right, baby, let's go.
All right, let's go. Thanks, Mark.
Or this time next week.
Okay, I will.
Yeah, I'll let.
I'll let everybody know when I get my first signing.
For sure. I'm excited because I'm going to be cheering for you, literally out loud. Talk to you soon, man.
Thanks, buddy.
All right. Bye. Bye. All right, who do we have next? I think we have Giselles. I hope I said that right. But, guys, I'm so excited that you're here with me. I hope you're having a phenomenal week Start to your week. I. We have phenomenal weekend. Remember, Monday's your day to set your goals and intentions for the following week. Too many notary public loan signing agents again. Wake up on a Monday. If you don't want to get on camera with me, comment below right here. Hold yourself accountable. Put it out to the world. This is what I'm going to accomplish. So in the comments, maybe you don't want to jump on screen with me. That's okay. But right below, one thing that you want to accomplish this week and try to get very specific, don't just write, I want a signing. What actions are you doing to go get that signing? Does that make sense? Those are the granular details. So if you're watching this live, I know there's a lot of you doing it right now. Write in the comments below. Better yet, I want someone to pop on on camera with me. Maybe I can help you out there. We got someone right here. All right, I see a couple people. We speak housewives, your second. Giselle, let me get you on here. All right, I think Giselle, why don't you hop on and say yes?
It's so weird. I haven't seen you just on the course and now you're like.
Like, that's you, girl.
Hi.
So I just passed my exam last week, and I've been watching especially Autumn. Autumn Nicole.
Yes.
Video, like, on repeat. So today I went to do my first direct marketing day. Yeah.
Dude, sometimes the winning is just in the doing. So I am so glad you put yourself out of that comfort zone. I hope everyone's inspired by that. So tell us how it went. Talk to me.
Oh, my gosh. I, like, cried on my way there. I cried because I was so, like, nervous. I was like, am I actually going to do this? And it's like you say repeatedly, repeatedly over your course. Like, you know, don't be afraid to know. Your reason has to be bigger than a no. We're not salesmen, so it's not like we're getting a no. It's that, you know, we're offering a service, and if they. When they need us, they can call us. So even though, you know, you're reassuring us, that whole time during the course, I was still, like. I was still, like, oh, my gosh. I made, like. I have one left. I made, like, these little, like, marketing packages. There's a. There's like, hand sanitizer macaroons inside. And I went to two offices and I introduced myself. I'm gonna be honest. I couldn't even. I practice with school, and I practice, like, in the mirror. Like, yeah, like, I never miss a date. I never miss a stamp. I never miss a signature. I always get FedEx drop off dates. But when I went, it was kind of like, hi, I'm. I'm just Ellis. I'm a loan signing agent.
I want to say that I am so, so proud of you.
Thank you.
Listen to me, please. So many people will never walk out of the car like you did. I want you to give yourself so much credit. It's so easy to be like, oh, I don't want to walk out. People live in their comfort zone, but success is one step past that. So I am so proud of you. Like, I would give you the biggest hug if I could right now. So, so proud of you. You know? You know what courage it takes to put yourself out there. So many people are afraid of that. That's why they don't build a business. You just got the course. You're already marketing. It takes some of our students up to six months to build up that courage. So I want you to be proud of you. I hope everyone's inspired by you. You were crying on the way there. You were nervous, but that didn't prevent you from getting out. So I am so proud of you. Be proud of yourself. Do you know how hard that was, girl?
Yes. Yes, it was very hard.
Look, I mean, so today, what I want you to take solace in and comfort in is that sometimes, like I said earlier, the winning is just in the doing. Right? The fact that you did it is the biggest win in the world. The script's gonna get easier. You're gonna get more comfortable, but you can't get good at something that you don't ever do. You have to be brave enough to suck. You are and you are and I love it. I love it like you can never hit a home run if you don't take a swing at the ball, right? So girl, I don't know if you see all these comments. Everyone's being inspired by you. I'm inspired by you. So here's what I want from you. Okay? So these are the goals for this week. Okay, the goals for this week is to first drop off the rest of those amazingness that you have in your car. But the remember I want you to fall fortunes of followers like I told Jedediah, okay? You have to remember we're in a top of mind business. We're not in the sales. They're going to need you at some point. Your job is to remind them that you're there when they need you. Okay? So what I want you to do tomorrow is to follow with an email, okay, Saying hey Giselle, Giselles again. Hope I'm saying that right. Giselle again. I just want to say it was so awesome seeing you. Hope you're enjoying those macaroons. I'm here for any of your needs and then you can put the script back in there. So that could be your opportunity to re put in part. Now don't cut and paste the entire thing, just like three or four lines that really resonate to you, okay? So you're going to follow like oh my gosh, hope you enjoyed the macaroons. Remember I'm here for any of your notary public loan signing agent needs. If your signing agent is, you know, get stuck in traffic, can't get to a 7:30, I'm here. I then I don't want to give the script away because you were paying for it. But take three or four of those lines in the script, cut and paste them in and with oh my gosh, have a great rest of your week. Boom. Okay, goal number one, follow up. Say that goal number two is if you don't hear by them by Thursday, go back in and just remind them a G again. Just want you know I'm here if you need anything. I'm here to do a 7:30, 9 o', clock, 6am Again, have a blessed rest of your week because your job as a business owner is just to remind them. Okay? So you wanted to make sure that they know that you're still really ready enable and girl, you're gonna get business, I promise you. Rinse and repeat. I love it. Are you Excited?
Yes. And they're really not. Nobody was mean to me. Everyone was super, super sweet. And the other thing was, like, everyone was so, like, fashionable. So it made me feel better. Like, everyone was like, oh, yeah. Like, oh, that's good to know. Thank you for the packages. All these packages are cute. So everyone was really sweet. So it made me feel better after the first one. But, yeah, I'm gonna keep going.
I'm glad you said that, because, you know what you saw in your head was like, oh, my gosh, you're gonna snap my head off. Or, oh, my gosh, you're gonna tell me no. Like, oh, my gosh, kick me out of the office. Did any of that happen?
No. They were so sweet.
Such sweet. They're just people, just like me and you. You have a service that they have to have, G. Don't forget that they have to hire a notary in every single one. You're not walking in, trying to sell an air conditioner in Alaska. You're like, look, you're gonna have to guy your notary at some point if yours is ever in a bind. Here's why. You should give me a shot. That's it. And you walk out, smile on your face, high five them. So I'm so proud of your goal now is to follow up by the end of the week. Email and in person. Keep up the good work. Keep believing in yourself. Gee, you are amazing, girl. All right, I'm here if you need anything at all. If you get any weird objections, comebacks, tag me in the Facebook group. I will help you overcome them. But, like, you already heard, like, there's no objections because you're not asking for a yes or no. It's just, here I am, here's my service, and that's it. You ready? All right, girl. All right. I'm proud of you. Again, keep going, don't stop. Ride the momentum. All right?
Okay. Thanks for having me.
Blessed. Have a good week. Bye.
Bye.
All right. How awesome was that, everyone? I mean, like, she was. She pushed past her fear. This business is so easy because most notary public loan signing agents won't do what Giselles just did. Gisellis just told you. She walked in and no one was upset. No one was weirded out. No one told her the word no. I need you to believe in you and understand that every single notary, every single transaction. Excuse me. Has to have a notary. And there's no reason why, why that notary shouldn't be you. You are amazing. You are a great notary public loan signing agent. You have the best training on the planet. Believe in yourself and let's go. All right, so who is. I'm. I love hanging out with you guys so, so much. All right, I only know you by your Instagram names, so we speak housewives. Please jump on, guys, if you're watching this for the very first time.
Oh, my girl.
How are we?
Hey, Mark.
Hopefully this is a happy dance. Give me some good news. Holler at me.
Okay, so this I did four weeks. I've been live for four weeks. Something I did not factor in. Okay? And maybe anyone watching this will appreciate hearing this. I was unemployed for a whole year. I didn't do one work email. I didn't do one phone call. I was so rusty with communicating with people from being in quarantine that I had more anxiety than I had anticipated. And so rather than go balls to the wall like I thought I was going to, I had to do so much self care. I had to make sure I didn't get too overwhelmed. So my goal each week stopped being like, get as many signings as possible and be. Keep your calm, grow your confidence, but literally walk through painful fear. Like, I was clutching my heart because I was like, I'm having a heart attack. Like, this is straight up a heart attack, you guys. So I would get. I would get a notification, and this is not the advice you give in the course, but I'm not kidding. I would get a notification. I'd hit accept, and I'd be like, please don't call me. Please don't hit me. Oh, my God, I'm so scared. Like, I was terrified. And then I. When I got my first one, I was like, oh, my God, I'm gonna cancel it.
I can't. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
So I had to.
Is that your kid?
Is that your little kid?
Yeah.
Yes. Thank you. You want to come say hi to everybody? Thank you, buddy. After I get on. This is live, everybody. Let's go. Hello. Let's go, let's go.
He's like, I don't do that.
I love you, buddy. You can have. Have mama open it. Okay, so sorry, everybody. I dad forgot to lock the door. Go ahead on. So let's focus back on you.
Okay, so first off, push through, push through.
Hold on, hold on, hold on, girl. I want to say congratulations on your first one. Like, let's go.
Well, Mark, it didn't stop there. I managed to make a thousand dollars in my first month.
Say that one more time.
I made a thousand Dollars in my first month. I couldn't believe it because like I was really going so slowly and like there were some days where, because I mean I've had anxiety my whole life so I had to like then part of the reason why I wanted to get into this was because it was gonna give me the freedom to take care of myself. Because when I was working in a restaurant job as a manager, you can't call out sick. So I would go into work with like panic attacks and it was just not healthy. So I was able to take days to like do things admin wise like on this side and just like relax and then I would be able to go to the next one. So I was shocked when I saw my notary gadget. Total up to $1,000.
A thousand dollars. I am so excited for you. I hope you inspired a lot of people. You know, you're not the only person who has anxiety. You're not the only person who has panic attacks. You're not the only person who like gets the sweats. And I thought it was very interesting perspective being out of work for a year and in quarantine, not anticipating all kind of those new feelings that we just kind of put aside. So I thought that was great, honest feedback. So thank you for sharing that. But I think the beautiful part is man is you're the person who has anxiety, who gets these panic attacks, who's been out of work and you still made a grand in your first month and a business you have never done in your life ever, ever. Like, girl, I hope you see the possibilities of what this is going to become for you.
I do, I really do. I got like. So I, what I did, if this helps anybody, is I just looked up signing services and even the people that were just their own solo notary. I cold called anyone I could and I got connected because literally this business wants to give back. Like it feels like everyone who's already successful wants to keep helping new notary public loan signing agents. That's definitely the sentiment. And so I called my cold called one woman named Kyla and she connected me with a woman named Crystal who has her own signing service. And then I did a training with that signing service on Sunday and now I'm in their database and. And she's more of like a personal person that works with people as opposed to like the big ones, like signing up and all that. So it's just kind of like you keep, you were right. You just keep putting one foot in front of the other people, like kind of just Doing the actions.
That's right.
So I feel like finally last week I started to feel confident in the signings and now this week I'm like, okay, I feel confident enough to just keep those follow up phone calls. So I was going through my list before I hopped on here and making those calls to the signing services I already did business with. And I think the part that was definitely weird today was realizing you're not. You're really not going to get a. Hey, we have a signing right now. You're just going to get. Okay, thanks. And then. Okay, cool. Yeah, call again. Is it too much to call more than once a week?
No, I think once a week is. I think once a week is the perfect cadence, by the way.
Okay.
You know, we're going to get your goals specific. I got so juiced on sharing your story here. But let me just kind of, let me just kind of end with your story for getting the goals with. This is, you know, it took you a month to make a thousand dollars. I think that's absolutely epic. Some people look at that as a failure. And I want to. And I want you people to be inspired by you. Like, you are out of your skin, excited. That's how you should be. Right? That's how you build something. Right. Rome wasn't built in a day. You know, it's cliche as that sounds, but I want to say I love that you said something, that you put one foot in front of the other. It's what I teach you. Some people just stop walking. That's the problem. You just keep going. One foot in front of the other, in front of the other. And so I want to make sure everyone's inspired by that. Right. Everyone's journey is different. You're very open and honest with the anxiety and the panic, but you still made a thousand bucks in your first four weeks. I think that is incredible. So freaking proud of you. Okay, so let's talk about goal. That's what I'm saying, girl. When you get on doing this, I'm like, I'm expecting fire and I got it. Okay, so let's talk about goals. So. So you're a thousand bucks. What are, what are some goals you have for this week that you want to accomplish? And let's talk about setting a path to get that accomplishment.
So I would like to be able to achieve two signings a day, which seems like, how do I attain that? Is it just following up with people? This is why I'm here. Obviously they'll give me the step.
Yes.
And I will follow them.
Good. Okay. So the answer is yes. I mean, and I think you, you know, I teach me a business owner, not an employee. Right. And so the employee in you says, oh, is more than once a week a bad cadence is because you're feeling guilty of intruding, but you got to look more like, I'm building a business. Yeah. And if someone gets frustrated with you because you're following up too much and that client probably isn't client for you anyways. Right. So it's okay to make. It's okay when you're building a business to realize who you click with and who you don't, but to always kind of sit on the sidelines like, oh, I'm not going to call them, is not a good way of building a business. So I think, number one, to understand that a weekly cadence is more than appropriate. Okay. If you're getting signings from them, more than once a week is absolutely appropriate. Every other day is appropriate. Oh, good. It's okay. You're not getting business from that. Once a week is the appropriate follow up cadence. But if you're already getting business from them, every other day is appropriate. For sure. It's like a. Because now you already have that working relationship of I don't make errors and it's your job to stay top of mind with them. So.
Okay, makes sense.
If you're not getting business once and you're kind of in that, that, that getting to know them phase, marketing phase, once a week is probably the cadence you want to hit. Got it. If you've already getting business, I'd say every other week, every other day, it's completely appropriate. Oh, good.
Because I really love one of the signing services and like I want to talk to them all the time.
Yes. Do it. Okay. Do it. And then while you're talking all the time, girl, show that appreciation. Show it like you're now in the bit now you're now from the I know you to the relationship building phase. And so let me end with this is don't think of business relationships any different than a personal relationship. So what would you do in a personal relationship to get to know somebody? Same thing. Now that's why I'm saying every other day is not inappropriate because you're now in the second part of the relationship building phase. Right. So like you and your husband start dating or when you and you met a new girl that you just love, you're like, girl, we need to hang out. Right. We've all been there and sure. Job is like hey, I'm here. Let's do something. So you're in the relationship building part of this business right now, so just do what you normally do. My point is go with your gut. That's my coaching. Go with your gut. What would you normally do to get to know somebody? Follow that path. So this week, I want you to make sure that you're following up with everybody who's not giving you business that's as important as the people you are. So this week, I want you to touch base with everyone who hasn't given you business. The signing services that you called on that list you spoke of and then the people who's currently giving you. Show some gratitude, man, like whatever that looks like to you. Not sure what that looks like, but show them that you care, that you're excited, that you're appreciative. And, dude, you're going to grow this to two grand next month, I have no doubt, and then five grand. So I hope the whole family is excited. I'm excited. Ride this momentum. You've been smiling ear to ear. I'm so proud to get a girl. I'm so proud of you.
Thank you, Mark, thank you for everything.
Oh, you're so welcome. Thank you. But follow me next week. Tell me it goes. Continue to tell me these stories and share these wins. Okay, I will go get them. Bye. Oh, my gosh. How excited was everybody on that? Did you see her excitement? We have someone else coming on. Chantel, man, if you don't want to get on camera, that's okay. I want you to write your goals right here in that coma. Bex, hold yourself accountable. Put your business first. Make sure you remember a goal without a plan is just a dream. So write your goals in here. If everybody wants to jump on camera. I did. Chantel, get on here with me, girl. And then, Maya, you're up next. So we go. Chantel and Myra. I am so excited to go setting Mondays where I help you achieve set plans to achieve the goals you want. Remember, you just can't be like, hey, I want to make a thousand bucks this week. Well, that's great. How are you going to accomplish it? Who are you going to follow up with? Who are you going to market to? Are you going to push yourself out your comfort zone? Today has been amazing. Chantel, go to this button right there and then hit accept to the invitation. And let's see. Let me get you on, girl. All right, I'm going to go to Maya because I can't get Chantel on. So let me Go to Maya. Here, Maya, let me get you on here. I am so excited. Hope you had a great, great week with your family. Hope you were recharged. I hope you are ready to get this business going. Maya, what up? Hi. Talk to me, girl.
So, okay, so I'm scared shitless to even be on camera. Just FYI. I want to just say to the two people who spoke before me, like, even. That is so inspiring. I'm the person who gets like the knockout heart attack fear. And so I haven't direct marketed yet at all. And I'm the six month notary public loan signing agent who has not direct marketed. But the crazy part is, if you ask me, and I'm so bald on the lash line. Guys just don't judge me. If you like, if you ask me 100%. I don't miss initials, I don't miss signatures. I just held my first mentor session yesterday with my cousin who just purchased from you. And like, I feel like I have exactly what it takes and I don't mess up. Like, I have not ever had to go back out aside from when I caught my mistake myself, fix it before the signing service even found out it out like, nothing ever happened. So I don't know, like the. The imposter syndrome is so real. The number one thing to stop you from gaining that real success that you know you're capable of. We're trained by the freaking best. Like, my training is astounding. I go back to it. You know, I got my commission in 2018 and I was so fearful to take action that I didn't start signings until November of 2020. And the numbers I've been doing this week, or not this week, last week, are amazing. And I just know I could add value to someone's escrow or title office. Like, just if you pick me, really won't get those mistakes. And so what. What is my problem?
Yeah, I know, I know. Well, first off, I'm so proud of you. I mean, slow as a speed. Okay, so because you've taken six months to go direct, seven months, like, that's cool. Your journey is amazing. I don't want you. The first thing I want, as, as your mentors, do not compare your journey to anybody else's. Your journey. The only reason you feel like, oh, I'm one of those signing agents. You took six months is because you're comparing yourself to somebody else. We got to stop that. Okay. Your journey is amazing. I think you know Robin Schmidt, our most successful student. Yeah, it took her four years to go direct. And now she's our most successful student ever. So everyone's journey is different. Okay? That's the first thing. So comparison is the thief of joy.
Yes.
So do not compare. Girl, you're amazing. Because there are so many people watching this right now, Chantel, who would love to be in your position, and I would tell them the same thing. Just get inspired by it, but don't get compared to it. So first off, don't compare. Girl, your journey's amazing. Okay? Second thing, I want you to say, it's okay to be a little arrogant.
Oh, it's okay to be a little arrogant?
Okay. It is. It's okay. I think a lot of us are taught, like, it's. It's not like we feel bad if we think how awesome we are. So I'm here to tell you that, girl, you're awesome. I need you to start believing it, okay? Yeah, start believing it. Number. Number three is what I need from you. Okay? The only reason you don't believe in yourself more to go direct is because you are telling yourself the wrong story. You need to start. You need to stop discounting how awesome you are. So what I mean by that is you have to start. Everything that goes in your head is, I've done 100 signings. Fall asleep. I've done all these signings without any errors. You are allowing a wrong narrative to play, and you're saying, okay, well, you know, maybe I'm not good enough. Girl, you're good enough. You got. Every time you catch yourself having these negative narratives, you have to say, you know what? No, I am good. I am great.
I am good. I'm just scared to talk to the people.
Okay? So let me tell you. So the reason you're scared. There's two reasons I'm gonna tell you is because right before you walk in that door, you are choosing to forget how awesome you are. Boom. That's why I need you to change the narrative the moment we walk in there. And look, I'm not going to say that's easy, by the way, but I. But once you realize what you're doing is how you start having personal growth. So the moment where you walk in that door, you have to tell yourself the narrative. I have done X amount of signings. Great. I have so much studying. I work so freaking hard at being good at my craft. That's the narrative that has to play. Because the narrative that play that's currently playing is I'm not good enough. Oh, maybe I need a few more signings. Oh, Once I get to 200 closings, then I need you to change the narrative. Because, girl, you're amazing. Say it with me. I'm amazing. Come on. I'm amazing. There you go. That's the narrative.
That's where I'm really grateful that the first young lady came on Gigi, because I like picture like the little lady in Monsters Inc. The mean people in the office. I don't think they're nice. And she's like, they're so nice and they're cute. And I'm like, oh, those are my kind of people.
And you're like, I'm nice. I'm cute. Okay, so look, here's the second thing. Here's the last thing I want to coach you on. Okay? Before we get to the goals. Okay, we can get some goals. Here is, you're not asking for yes or no question. Like when you walk in there, Chantel, you're not like, will you excuse me? I'm sorry. Chantel was the one for you. But before you walk into my. You got to be like, you're not asking a yes or no question. Does that make sense? So the only reason to. Too many of you students are nervous of scared of rejection, but you're not asking for an acceptance.
Like, that was super helpful to me. Like conversational. I can do conversational. I've been thinking about it just like you said, like a rejection. And it's like, I can serve you. I'm around the corner.
When that's what you tell you. Because that's the truth. It's not some motivational tactic. The truth is you're like, the truth is this. They already have a notary or they wouldn't be in business where you walked in the door. So all you're saying is like, look, I'm sure your notary is awesome. If your notary can't make a 7:30, can't do last minute signing. This is why you should use me. Then you go into the script. You're not saying I'm my. I want a signing today.
Exactly.
Does that make sense?
And so when I think that feels gross. And I would never do that.
That's right.
I will be of service.
That's right.
That moving. You know, that's right. And like the Monday versus the Wednesday. So like, yeah, let's talk goals.
That's right. So, but, but, but you, you with me on that, right? The first thing is change the narrative, girl. Okay? Before you walk in that door. The second thing is realizing you're not asking for anything. You're offering it. Like I always tell you students, do you think a gas station selling you gas? No. They're like, yo, if you need gas, we're right here.
Yeah.
And that's all you're saying. You're saying the same thing. You're like, look, I know you're signing an agent at some point is going to be in a bind. Let's just get that out of the way right now. Okay? When that time occurs, here's why you should give me a chance. That's it. Does that make sense? And then, Maya, it's your job to go in there every week and remind them of the service you provide.
That's a mind. Yeah, that's right.
You say self of mine, but you're not looking for a yes. You're not looking for the no. That's why there's nothing to be scared of. It's like, hey, you should walk in with some authentic appreciation of their time. You know, our girl G did macaroons and sanitizer. Do your version of that. Okay? And like, look, I know there's gonna be a moment where you're. You need someone to get you bailed out of situation. I'd love to be that notary. Here's why I should be that notary. Have a phenomenal day. You know what I mean? You have a beautiful smile. Your energy is contagious. I feel it through the video. They're going to feel it too, is my point. Okay. Yes. That's what you need to tell yourself. So your goal for this week, are you ready?
Yes.
One. Only one? Ok. One title office. You're going to walk in and let them know that you're available and willing and able. You're going to commit to me in front of 100 people live right now from the two amazing ladies before you that inspired you. Are you going to commit to all of us? One?
I commit to one.
You guys. What? Everybody comment below that. You heard that? We heard you, girl. We receive it.
Oh my God, I'm sweating.
I love it. Okay, let's go. But honestly, in conclusion here, okay.
Yes.
You are worthy.
I am worthy.
You are worthy.
I am worthy.
That's right. Okay. Build this business. I believe in you so much.
I believe you believe in me. Okay.
I do. I do. I do. I feel the moment we're having right now. You got it. Continue to believe in you. Because look, if you don't believe in you, no one else ever will.
Absolutely.
Starts with us. Starts with us. But the way you believe in yourself, Maya, is Not discounting your greatness, not forgetting how many closings you done. Not forgetting how much you care. Like, you care, right? Yes, you care.
And this is the most fun I've ever had. Like, I. When I mess up, I, like happily drive across a 20 mile bridge and go fix it. It's so much fun to not answer to someone and to be able to cook my baby waffles in the morning and spend time with them throughout the day. This is the most rewarding feeling I've had in a long time. And I like Wednesday. I might get emotional, but you're my lss family. Wednesday will be seven years since my daughter lost her dad to gun violence in Oakland. And I've been just really low since then. And I just feel so amazing these days. Like, I'm so full even in the Facebook group. Like, there's things I share with you guys that I don't share with people because they're haters in real life. And I'm just so grateful. So grateful. I'm so grateful. And this is so amazing. And my daughter will be 18 next September, and I want her to hit the ground running, and I want her to have a freedom lifestyle. She wants to fly to Greece and I want to send her and I want to be in first class next to her. And it's possible now. And it was never possible at my $48,000 a year job ever. So I'm just. Oh, God, it's so exciting. I'm so happy I caught this live because I miss them all the time.
Yeah. I want to say the success you're having is 100% because of you. You've built this business with your own two hands. You've built this business with your greatness, with your effort, with your tenacity. That is amazing. And that's the story I need you to keep telling yourself. So before you walk in those title companies, remember that this is because of Maya only. You've built this girl, and you're going to build this to the freaking moon. You are worthy. You are great. And just for the record, this is chapter one. There's only chapter one.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Yes.
So I'm giving you a hug through the video girl. I'm your biggest fan. I'm rooting for you.
Thank you.
Continue believing in yourself. Just for you. Not for me, but for you. Go into that title company this week.
I'm going.
Okay. Hold yourself accountable. Remember the narrative, that you are amazing.
You are worthy, and I like sis. The first is who Spoke with you. Like, she just. You don't even have everything and you're talking to these people and, like, they're nice.
Like, thank you.
Thank you for saying that and sharing that. Because we're all battling mindset or just weird stuff. And, like, we are trained. We're super well trained. So, like, what is the problem?
We're all on a journey. That's it. It's not a problem. It's a journey. That's it. Right?
Yeah, exactly.
And everyone's on a journey. And your journey is amazing. And I know your daughter's so proud of you.
Yeah.
And so keep building. Don't stop believing. And I'm going to see you next week, and you're gonna be like, mark, I did it. All right, go get them, girl. Hugs from San Diego. Bye.
Bye.
Oh, my gosh. That was absolutely amazing. Maya, I'm rooting for you, every single one of you. We're all on a journey. No one's journey is. Is better or worse or it's all. We're all on our own journey. And so thank you for everyone sharing today, because we can all do this. You can do it. This business is about one thing, about believing in yourself. And the way you do that is by remembering how great you are. And that's not a motivational rah, rah, rah. The truth of the matter is this. You have put in hours and hours of studying to be an expert at your craft. You have put. You've done numerous signings. Amazingly, you need to continually tell yourself this, because life beats us down sometimes. And life makes us remember all the things that we're not good at. Life makes us remember all the things that we're bad at. Life makes us remember everything else that we did wrong. It is your job to replace those thoughts with all the good things that you're doing. It's your job to remember all the amazingness that you are accomplishing and push out that narrative of like, oh, I'm not good enough. Oh, I need more practice. Oh, I need to do more signings. That's just life beating us down. But from here on out, I need you to replace those thoughts with all the greatness that you're full of. That's the key to self belief, is remembering intentionally the work.
Oh, my God.
That we did. Okay.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my. I still hear you, girl. I love it. Okay, so let's try to get one more person on before we wrap up at 1:00'. Clock. Let's see if we can now get Chantal My bad, Maya, for calling you Chantel a couple times. But Chantel, let's go see if we can get Chantel on. We got time for one more. What up? There you are. Hi. Hi, Mark. Okay, let's get it, girls. Let's talk about some goals so we can help you through this week. Oh, I see someone. What's up? What's up? Hi. Hi. I didn't know she was going to.
Go in right away, but this is my daughter Jordan. She's 19.
Hi, Jordan.
Hi, Mark. She just had her first loan signing on what you tell them. I had my first loan signing on April 29th and I worked 11 days and I made 1.7k already.
Can we get this? Oh, my. I give you like a virtual high five. Where's my girl Jordan? Give me some. Give me a pound or something, girl. Get it. Okay.
I don't know if you can you hear me?
Yep.
I don't know if you remember, but I emailed you a few months back when I first started and I told you that when I first started this, it was my oldest and my youngest that knew the difference from something that I didn't know they paid attention to something as small as the refrigerator. So when I first started doing loan signing, it was the first time even though I make a decent salary in my day job, this was the first time with loan signing that I can send my two daughters to the grocery store. And it was like they would say, what's the budget? And I'm like, there isn't one. And that was so big to me. You don't realize as a mother how important that is to not have the. The burden of us having to change our appetite based on, you know, what I could afford versus what they actually wanted. So it's only been up from there. That was back and you asked me to do a video, like a two minute video. It kept going and going. But I just want to thank you so much because just since the first time I emailed you that everything has changed in the household. Like she get into K just in her first 11 days, you know, plus on top of what I'm making. So we thank you so much and we are so excited about the journey. Thank you so much.
First off, thank you both. I'm just honored you've trusted me to be a small part of your journey. I can take no credit for your amazing this. I'm just the coach is the players making the plays, you know, and so everyone has the exact same course. Not everyone does the same thing. And you, your family, hit the ground running. And I can take no credit for that. So I want to say I'm so proud of you both. I'm so proud of the growth. But like I tell you guys, you need to stop and smell the roads, but you got to keep on going. So while we're building this, okay, so what are some goals for this week so we can take this bad boy to the next level? So let's talk about goals and how we're going to get there.
Okay, why don't you go first? So to finish out the month, I want to double what I make so that I can make 3.4K and I can say I hit over $2,000 in my first month. So I want to finish off the month strong.
Okay? So here's what I want for you. Here are your goals. You ready? You know, and as you're building. Banker, only 19 years old. This is like unbelievable. Like, as you're building this business, right, this business is really about authentic relationships and just being appreciative. So what I want you to do is to get you, I want you to get more business from the people who gave you business last week. And so the way you do that is by calling up each signing service and like a. This is George wants a thank you so much for the business last week. Hey, if you have any signings out my way, I would love for you to think about me first. I love you. Mark me preferred. It's those authentic com communication and relationships that's going to take you. I mean, you should have a $10,000 a month business in the next 12 months. You're starting like a rocket out of this business. But the way that occurs is not on accident, okay? The way that occurs is by really trying to build real authentic relationships with everyone who's giving you business. So I want you to start this week by calling up everyone you had last week that gave you business and share that authenticity. Say thank you, show gratitude. But then the end of that big, hey, holler at your girl. I'm down to do some more work. Okay? Okay. Because remember, closed mouth doesn't get fed, right? You don't get what you don't ask for as business 101, no matter what industry you're in. So the way you're going to get from 1.1 to 2000 is by creating relationships and not being afraid to ask for more business. So many notary public loan signing agents are afraid to ask for more business. And that's why they never scale to the to the level that some of our $10,000 month students are. The only difference. We are 10k students and our 2k students is the 10k. Just ask for business. Like, that's just the difference. They're not afraid to be like, look, thank you so much for the business last week. Do you have anything else this week that I can be a service of? You get in the habit of saying that, Jay, you're gonna. You're gonna be our youngest 10k student. That's what I want from you. Okay. The loan signing system. Youngest person to the 10k club. I'm holding you to that, by the way. Okay, so your goal this week, maybe even today, is to reach back to everyone who gave you business last week and say, hey, you know, I would love. Thank you again for the business. Super appreciative of, and I'd love to have an opportunity to do more business with you this week. You know, my schedule is wide open. Don't forget my phone number. Cool. Can I get that from you?
Yes.
All right, girl, let's go. Thank you.
Thank you, Mark. Thank you so much.
Okay, so I'm expecting to hear about you, Jay, next week, whether it's through the Facebook group or this. This goal setting live, because, girl, I want you to be the youngest 10k student. Put that on the wall somewhere. Visualize it. Speak it into the universe.
Okay, I will. Thank you.
Oh, my gosh. Thank you both so much. I'll see you. Doing you. Bye. Oh, my gosh. What an amazing goal setting Monday. Thank you so much for spending an hour with me on your Monday. Remember, I believe in you, but I just can't believe in you more than you believe in yourself.
