Why do you as a loan signing agent need a dual tray laserjet printer? Well, let's break it down in this video. So why do I always recommend getting a dual tray printer? And that means a dual tray. There's gonna be two trays inside your printer. One's gonna hold legal paper and one's gonna hold letter paper. Why that's important because loan documents literally 10 out of 10 times are gonna come over on legal size and letter size paper. So a dual tray printer will automatically sort that for you. So, so you don't need to be like, oh, which one's going to be printed on legal, which one's going to be printing a letter? The dual tray automatically takes care of that for you, so it makes yourself way more time efficient. Now, do you have to have a dual tray? No, you could do a single tray, but it becomes so much more complicated because a, you need to go get page separator software, some type of software that's going to print all your letter paperwork first and then all your legal size paperwork second. So that causes a couple things. A, when you go get the legal size tray, it prints everything legal. You got to pull out your tray, put in the letter size paper, readjust it, then print out everything legal. You can only really do that via software, which is page separator is the number one I recommend. But then Notary Rotary also has a free version on their website. But then once you print out everything legal, everything letter, you then have to resort those and put them back in the order in which you were emailed. It's such a big hassle and not time effective at all. Now why do you need a laser jet printer instead of an inkjet printer? Because a lot of you guys are like, man, these laserjet printers are so expensive. They are at first blush, but when you break down the economics, they're way less expensive than the inkjet. So an inkjet printer you could probably get on Amazon for what, 99 bucks? $149. The problem is that cartridge can only print about 50 to 100 pieces of paper. An average loan doc set going to be 200 pages. So you're literally going to spend 50 bucks every single time you print on an inkjet. So the simple economics of the inkjet isn't there. But here's the more important thing is an inkjet actually prints on top of the paperwork. So without geeking out on you on how printers work, just know when inkjet actually can smear. A laserjet actually prints inside the paper. So therefore it doesn't smear because the inkjet prints on top of the paperwork. Again, inkjets at first blush are less expensive, but a laserjet will print up to 10 to 20,000 papers before you need to reorder a toner. So yes, are they 3, 4, 5, $600? But they're going to be way more costly in the long run because one toner can print, like I said, 10,000 to 20,000 pieces of paper. So is it a bigger upfront cost than an inkjet? The answer is yes. But at the end of the day, getting a dual tray laserjet printer is going to save you time and ultimately money. And that's why getting a dual tray laserjet printer is really a no brainer. A little bit more upfront, but way cheaper in the long run. Like this video. Save this video and always follow my page for more tips and tricks. Just like this SA.
