What's your favorite thing about being a dad? My favorite thing is mostly just like havingā first off, I feel like, and you know this, it kind of gives you like an extra drive of like you kind of have to succeed at whatever you do. And so for me, it's helped me a lot, like unlock that, because I went through the whole phase of like being broke and being selfish. And then I kind of turned on thatā door-to-door taught me that a lot, you know, like turning on that different switch in you that like you have to make it happen. And you have to succeed for your family and for your kids. So that's one thing. And then also just coming home to like people, little people that just love you. Like, that's the best part. Like, no one does that. Like, you can get a dog that does that, but like your little kids, dude, that's like your everything.
Yeah, coming home after a long day and they just run to you. They don't care if you baggled. They don't care if you sold debt.
They don't care how much money you have in your bank account. They just love you.
For salesmen out there, because you have 2 kids, right? Salesmen out there that are struggling to balance fatherhood and salesmanship, what advice would you give a young salesman who's about to have a baby? Or his wife is about to have a baby, right? Because we don't push them out, they do. Yeah, we just plant the seed.
No, I would say like the reason they're probably feeling these feelings is number one, they're feeling guilty for working hard, which you shouldn't feel guilty for working hard. Like my wife literally told me, I was asking her this because I felt guilty for like working long hours and whatever, and she thinks it's sexy when I work hard, right? Like when I come home, I'm on the computer, I'm doing stuff, and she loves that. And so don't feel guilty for working hard. And then number two is like don't be so emotionally attached to your outcomes, like when it comes to providing and whatever, like leave work at work and then come home and just love your kids and just be super dad when you get home. Separate it.
We've heard it from Mason. If you're a young salesman that's like just trying to be a better dad, follow Mason. Your Instagram handle is? @themacewoodward. And he's a stud and he's freaking jacked. This guy played football at the University of Utah as a running back. I'd be scared as hell if this guy came running through the line. So give him a follow.
