Austin Maser gives door-to-door sales reps a four-step plan for the offseason: audit what went wrong, invest in training like his 200-video course, join a daily role-play group to practice pitches, and find mentors you'd trade places with. Treat it like athletic conditioning.

Door-to-door sales reps, if you're at the end of your season and you did not hit your goal, you need to take an audit of what went well and what distractions came up that prevented you from hitting your goal. Now, there's also 3 things that you need to have for next year in order to be successful. Number one, you need to invest in training. Get my training, get somebody else's training, I really don't care. You just need to invest in some form of training. I've got a live sales course with over 200 videos on there. I've got an AI major mind on there that's pulled from all my training and all my manuals that'll coach you. Like, if you want to do that, great. You also need to, number 2, join a role-play group. Role-play with your managers. Role-play with people who are better with you. I happen to do a role-play group Monday through Friday right now where I train with reps daily for an hour, okay? But you need to be practicing your pitch. You can't just expect to show up to market and instantly be better just because you took time off. That is absolutely insane to think that that would work. And then last but not least, you need to have a mentor in your life. You need to have You need to have somebody who can guide you through the process of actually doing what you want to do. I mentor a lot of guys one-on-one from companies that haven't had a Golden Door rep yet. Well, they work with me, they hit a Golden Door. So it's like, you need to make sure you're practicing daily, you're studying daily, and that you have mentors in your life that you actually aspire to be like. If you are with, or you're taking advice from somebody that you don't aspire to be like, you need to get rid of them immediately. Only take advice From people that you would trade places with. Now, I have people in my life that I would trade places with in certain categories, like fitness or how they are as a parent, but not financially, and vice versa. Like, some people I look up financially and not spiritually. But make sure that there's people in your life that you look up to in all of those categories, and choose those people to be your mentors. Do not let off the gas during the offseason. This is not an offseason where you just do nothing. You need to be training just like any other athlete would.
