Austin Maser tells door-to-door home service salespeople to push 24-month contracts instead of 12-month ones. His script contrasts the company's term against competitors' longer contracts, then explains that early cancellation only requires repaying the initial discount, not a full buyout. He demonstrates the pitch live and emphasizes being direct about costs.

With us, it's just for 24 months. If you're only selling 12-month agreements in door-to-door home services, you're a freaking lazy salesman. You need to be selling at least 24-month agreements, and this is how to do it. So when you get to the agreement portion of your sale, when you start talking about contractual length, you say the following: Hey, and Mr. Customer, we don't do those 3 to 5 year agreements like other companies do. That's insane. With us, just give us a shot for the first 24 months, and if you ever were to back out, we don't make you buy out the whole thing like other companies do. All we ask is that you just reimburse us that initial discount I gave you today of blank. And then you continue and you say, anyways, you guys need to realize in that example, I'm straightforward and to the point. I tell them it's not 3 to 5 years, it's just 24 months. And if they do cancel, it's not the whole thing. It's just— it could be whatever. It could be a percentage of the agreement. It doesn't freaking matter. But you need to create like a nightmare scenario of what it could be and then tell them your scenario for the contract length. So guys, implement this in your pitch and check out the following clip and watch me actually do this for real. And if you like what you see, get on the training course today and I'll show you how to do all of this. I do the same thing every time, but go ahead and check out this clip. Um, with us it's just for 24 months. If you were to back out, we don't make you buy out the whole thing like you hear about on the news. That's crazy. With us, I'm waiving over $300 off that initial discount today. If you were to back out within the 2 years, we just asked for initial discount back of $299. That's it. But I'm gonna have this all sent over to you. You said it was for the initials, correct?
