Door-to-Door Pest Sales Training IN CANADA!

In this live kickoff session for Aveda Pest Control’s Canadian sales team, trainer Austin Maser blends motivational coaching with concrete door‑to‑door sales tactics. He opens with light‑hearted remarks about his arrival in Canada and the team’s accents, then shifts to a discussion on discipline, highlighting Vinayak’s completion of the 75‑Hard challenge and introducing the concept of a personal “Bald Number” as a tangible goal. Austin shares his own sales credentials—over 1,000 accounts sold in a single season, a marathon, and a “Golden Door” achievement—to establish credibility. The bulk of the session focuses on body‑language cues (hand positioning, the “fupa,” arm placement) and structured pitch flow, including transitional phrases, objection handling, and a repeatable close. Participants engage in a role‑play exercise with Amelia, receiving feedback on strengths and improvement areas. Throughout, Austin promotes his Maser Sales Training program, emphasizing its 100+ live sales recordings and practical implementation. The session concludes with personal goal‑setting anecdotes (12,000 daily steps, travel logistics) and a thank‑you to the Canadian team.

There's brother in the line. I just landed in Canada and I'll be speaking at Aveda Pest Control's kickoff for the season. Super excited to be here. Everybody here in Canada's got these really fun accents.
Treating spiders tomorrow, you got 15 centimeters of snow tomorrow.
Still trying to figure out, but they all say, "Hey bud," and, uh, "Hey." So come follow me, let's go have a really fun week. All right guys, we found out they do have C4 energy drinks.
Way.
I don't know if we're gonna make it. Close your eyes, make a wish.
Oh my God.
So Vinayak just finished up 75 Hard.
Yes sir.
About to start your summer. Yeah. You told me something a minute ago about discipline.
Yep.
And why that's so important. How is 75 Hard going to impact your summer, completing that? How's How's that going to change your success?
So it's super related. So people view like discipline is something super hard, but it's been like every small steps. So by me putting in that 75 days, I'm training my mind to do something hard consistently, right? So it relates to knocking door because it's super hard to consistently knock door.
Yeah.
So if you are not disciplining your mind, like you don't have that thing that you're gonna do hard things consistently, you are not gonna make it.
I know that. So before the summer starts, I encourage all of you to do one thing that's difficult over the course of a lot of days. So in your case, you did 75 Hard. And I'd also encourage a lot of you guys to do something that's really hard in the course of one day. For example, I did a marathon before I did my Golden Door. Uh, 1,000 accounts in one summer, 4 and a half months. So I'd invite you guys to all think, what's something hard that I can do in one day that can boost my confidence for a day? And what's something hard that you can do over the course of 75 days? It doesn't have to be 75 Hard, but for you, that works perfectly. Yeah. So congrats to you, man. And then tell us your, your Do or Die or Bald Number for you.
First of all, thanks for inspiring guys to commit.
It's online.
My goal is 320K or bald.
Bald. Let's go. Let's go. So I love that. It's like we talk about this a lot. It's like your hair grows back, but you don't get your time back in life.
That's true.
And so that little bit of a commitment, it's like, oh wait, this is actually real. A lot of times people talk about their goals just to feel good about themselves and they don't actually have skin in the game. Or in this case, hair in the game. I'm really proud of you, dude. This guy has binged the course more than anybody else. He knows the course like the back of his hand, and he's going to crush it this year.
Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you.
Spoke to us last night at our vets training, and I've been in door-to-door a long time. Not as long as some of the other guys, but over a decade now. I've had a lot of sales trainers. I've sat in a lot of sales trainings, and a lot of the times they're really— they come across kind of inauthentic and not themselves. And we were all blown away yesterday by how he's a genuine person. I've got some of his accolades here. Not only is he a great guy, he's done a lot of great things. He sold a crazy number of accounts, 1,067 in 4 and a half months. Did you sneak 6, 7 in there?
I, I, yeah, I threw 6, 7 in there too.
Yeah, he had, uh, after that he had 2 more seasons where he sold 700+ accounts. He's knocked for 8 years. Then he went on and created Maser Sales Training, has over 100 live sales on it. I think there's a bunch of you guys in here that are in his course, take his training. He's a faithful member of his church. He served a 2-year mission in Santiago, Chile. Family man, husband to his wife Kaya. Father of two daughters, Georgia and Francesca. Let's give it up. Let's make some noise.
All right, guys. So I want to give a special thanks to the leaders of Aveda for inviting me. This is special that they have this facility for you guys. They're putting on this big event. And you guys are— the words I used last night were hungry and humble. Who knows why this might be bad if your arms are behind your back? Go ahead. Untrust. Untrust. Why? Because we're all biological people, right?
Yeah.
Back in the days before, if you ever don't see your hand, you have a weapon, right? Yeah. You can kill me. So I don't trust you. So when I talk, I'm gonna use a lot of my palms, especially if I'm talking to an old person, right? Like, hey, how you doing, ma'am? Imagine I had this arm out too, okay? I'm chicken winging it right now. You put your iPad right here and you hold it like this. This is called the fupa, okay? You got like a little fupa right here. Who does this? Who does it? Be real. Yeah. A little notebook, kind of like rest your arms. This kind of looks like Weenie Hut Jr. stuff, man. You look like a weenie when you do this, man. Does it look confident at all? Yeah. No, it doesn't. Small and fast, it looks like you're tweaking. It's like, that doesn't look good. Like, I'm going to do the whole ease, I'm going to do the R2, and they're like, dude, this guy is on something. So slow and big. Does that make sense?
Say yes.
Yeah, it does. It works because the whole time during the service pitch, you guys will have that recording here in a minute, I was very upfront about what we're going to do. So by the time I get to the close, this is not if I can do this, it's like, no, we're gonna get you looped in with John, we're gonna take care of you, you're the order taker now. Does this make sense? Say yes.
Yes.
Do you guys know enough to be able to role play this with each other?
Yes.
Let's have Amelia do this with me up front and then you guys are all gonna go with each other. Look for something that she does well and look for something that she can do better in this, okay? You ready?
No.
That's fine. Guys, can I share? Yeah, I like volunteered. I voluntold you to come up.
What's the best number I can get for you?
Uh, yeah, it's 404. Okay, round of applause. Okay, good, good, good. Okay, round of applause. Good job. Okay, thank you for volunteering. I voluntold you to come up.
Super important for them to keep their learning ahead of the earning, right? So I would recommend you guys hop into this course. It's really like the exact blueprint where he shows like 100+ live sales. I mean, you can get like a good course, like a model, but they don't show like implementation of live sales. So it's super helpful. I would really suggest you guys to hop into now and use this course.
I think it's worth every penny. I didn't pay him to say this, I promise. I did not pay him. Norman paid him under the table. So I want you guys, every single— the reason I'm bringing this up is because every single one of these deals, I do the same freaking close. It's the same thing every time. Go subscribe. Yeah. My daughter, she'll go, "Buy my daddy's car right now!" And if we get objections at door-to-door con, she'd be like, "Scared money don't make no money, baby." Scared money don't make no money. All right, pair up in groups of 2. Price, redirect, close. First, everybody repeat with me. I'm sure you're wondering how much this is all gonna run ya. I'm sure you're wondering how much this is all gonna run ya. The best part is. The best part is. But the way it works is.
But the way it works is.
You guys hear how those are transitional phrases that go from one part to another? Yeah. Okay, we cool? Ready? I love you guys, I believe in you guys a ton, and you guys are freaking awesome. Thank you so much. 12 o'clock midnight. Well, we finished with our training at Aveda. And then I took a couple of guys out to Noc with me. Of course, we hit Chipotle. That was part of the experience. But I have to hit my goal of hitting 12,000 steps in a day. This treadmill is broken. I almost threw out my— blew out my knee just a second ago. But while I'm sort— this is so bad. Okay, let me just go on another treadmill. Okay, take 2. I had to get a different treadmill, but I have— I still have my lift tonight. I need to get in in order to stay on top of my my goals. This treadmill is also broken. These suck. Okay, but long story short, I have, I have goals to hit. We have to stay up to hit them. We're gonna hop on a plane tomorrow at 7 in the morning, go back to the United States, have a 5-hour layover in Utah, hop on an airplane from Utah to Atlanta. We're gonna land in Atlanta at like 9:30, and then we're gonna let the BBC drive us all the way home. What a good trip. Thank you, Canada. It was a good time, eh? Bro, what the fuck does the sign say? Brother, hey, pass control, good to go. Beauty.
