So I've got a rep that I'm coaching right now who's struggling to finish the season because he's made a ton of money already, and, uh, gonna walk him through on like, how do you keep pushing when you have a great bank account but you still have a goal that you want to hit? So we'll see if he answers. You've got a month left. A lot of times in door-to-door, we have this superstition that if I go on a trip, then when I come back, I'm gonna be all out of it and in funk. And while that's somewhat true, like, you dude, you just came out of paradise and now you're knocking doors again. So there's like this weird, like, you were just in like, uh, you were just in heaven and now you feel like you're back in like the war zone now. Does that make sense? But that adjustment period doesn't have to be longer than like the 2 days that you already had, and you can't beat yourself up for that. Is there truly enough money in your bank account or in your back end for you to feel like, oh, I'm done? Or is that just like, I could get by with this. So remember we talked at the beginning of the year, we're like, what's the vision for the summer, right? The more money, the better you have when you're like going about these big goals. Because of that $100 grand, you pay tithing, you pay taxes, and you're like, oh, now I don't have the $100 grand, right? Or you pay your expenses for the year. Biggest thing for you is just gonna be like, it's also okay for you to have that adjustment period. That's one of the biggest takeaways I want you to have from this call is like, it's okay for you to have those 2 days And it's also okay for you to forget about the 2 days and be like, yep, those were just like— you ever heard of the phrase like, uh, give me a mulligan, or I'm gonna use up my mulligan? It's a golf phrase. Give me a mulligan, please. I'm gonna try again. Not today. Okay. Yeah, yeah, those were your mulligans, dude. I have had mulligans in my door-to-door career when I have bageled. Like, I'm a 1,000-account rep and I have bageled post-Golden Door multiple times, and I just laugh and I'm like, those were my mulligans. The systems that we have had in place during the summertime that were working really, really well for for you with like working out, doing your routine, and then showing up, be able to go throw down on the doors, like getting out there early, like getting out, like the routine before you go out and knock doors, like breathing for 2 minutes in your car and then just getting out and going. 'Cause I remember we talked one time too, it's like, oh my gosh, like it's hard to get outta my car. If we can just have like a 2-minute, just like breathe, just breathe for 2 minutes, set a timer, envision your day going the way you want it to go, and then you just start the day. You're gonna feel way more calm as you approach the doors. We have our official call. I think we said tomorrow, right? 8 AM, brother. What is that? What's Elf goes? 9 AM, Santa's coming. Okay, people, tomorrow morning, 10 AM, Santa's coming to town. Santa! Oh my God! Santa here? Just got off the phone with a rep who is going into postseason because they have a big goal and It's normal to have like that feeling of dread, like, oh my gosh, I've been here for so long. The way that you get out of that kind of dread is to think about all of the things that you're going to be able to do as a result of your hard work. When I hit my 1,000 account summer, there was a pay bump. I did like 1,000 accounts at 520 CV. I was back in the day when like people were not ripping these massive CVs. Now I love doing it. It's great. But there was a pay bump that when I hit 550K, I would get a 2% pay bump on my entire summer. And I remember calling my coach at the time and I was bawling. I was completely frozen. I was in the middle of this neighborhood and the only people that were in the neighborhood were Asians. I could not run into a single freaking person that spoke English. I was so mad. I was in this neighborhood crying and I called my coach and I'm like, dude, I can't do it. I can't finish up the season. Like, I'm just gonna take the, I'm gonna do the 520K, take my golden door and call it a summer. And my coach kind of like snapped at me. He's like, dude, when you're in your head, you're dead. And I was like, okay, like, and he started kind of getting fired up. And he told me, he's like, you need to think about the things that you are grateful for. And he's like, you need to give purpose to this last month of your summer, how many weeks it took me to finish that up. And he spent time. He's like, tell me what you're grateful for right now. And I will never forget how hard it was for me to get out of this state of like doom and gloom. But through my coach, he was like, dude, do it now. He's like, you need to tell me what you're grateful for right now. And little by little, I was able to say like, I'm grateful for my family. I'm grateful for my home. I'm grateful for my health. And through being grateful, I was able to get into a better state of mind. And then he's like, okay, cool. Let's just talk about this, dude. Do you really want to finish and hit your goal? And I was like, yeah, dude, I want to hit my $550,000 to get my pay bump. And he goes, what are you going to do with the money? And at our townhome, we had this little back porch and the pay bump was going to make me an extra 2% on $550,000 is, uh, it was a good amount. I don't know. I wasn't good at math. I got a C in calculus. That's why I sell pest control door to door. But 2% of $550,000, comment below if you know the answer. But I told him, I'm like, dude, I'm gonna be able to build a deck off the back of my house with all of that money. And he's like, dude, this time is for you to dedicate that. You're dedicating this time to build a deck for— deck off the back of your house for your family. And you're gonna be able to build so many— you're gonna be able to have so many cool memories on the back of you— on the back of your guys's house on that deck.. And sure enough, like when I finished my goal, I was able to like repurpose. I'm like, I'm going out, I'm just going to get enough money to build this deck. And we had so many good memories, so many parties, gender reveals, birthday parties for my kids. And, uh, it was awesome. So that's how you're able to get out of this little loop, like this funk. And, uh, this coaching client that I work with, we're able to get them excited. And that's where we want to get our minds is like back towards the things that excite us. So if you're in this spot right now, if you're still knocking postseason, get excited about something that's actually going to motivate you to push through to that finish line.
