Good morning! Day 2 in Birmingham, Alabama, and we're headed to one of the places that I like to go to frequently: Cracker Barrel.
Why?
Well, in light of all the logo change— which they changed it back, thank goodness— we're actually going because I almost quit door-to-door sales to work at Cracker Barrel. I remember doing solar panels, I quit, it wasn't for me, and And I told my wife, I was like, yeah, I'm not cut out for this stuff. I'm gonna go find a job that has 401k and benefits. And one of the places I applied to was Cracker Barrel, to which they're like, yeah, we're already full on staff and you gotta do it online, but we'll see if we can get you in. And I remember walking out of there, calling my sister and being like, dude, I just applied to Cracker Barrel. My sister looked at me like, my sister was on the phone with her. She's like, dude, quit lowballing yourself. And I was in a really low point in my life when that all happened. But today, if I would have worked at Crackle Barrel, I would have been the best freaking pancake flipper in the world. I mean, I would have been getting tips like crazy, but it wasn't meant to be. God's— I always say rejection is God's redirection. So when things don't go your way in life, it's typically because God has better things in store for you. And for me, yeah, God definitely had bigger plans for me for what I was gonna go do. And eventually I got into pest control. Thank goodness, because now I've been able to have had such a big impact on not only my, my family's life, but so many more lives in the pest control industry who are now plugged into the training course. By the way, use code MASER20 if you want $20 off your first month on the course. But let's go to Cracker Barrel and see what my life would have been like. So this is what my life would have looked like if Cracker Barrel would have hired me 5 years ago. Like I said before, Rejection is God's redirection. God had bigger plans for me, and let's go ahead and see what my life would have looked like if I was a pancake flipper or a waiter here at Cracker Barrel pulling in for my shift. All right guys, let's go see if they'll hire me. I'm gonna go see if they're hiring right now. Come on, let's go. Come on through here. Sorry. We just got sat down from our host and we both ordered, uh, What was it? The Grandma Sampler or something like that?
Yeah, something like that.
They have bacon, like eggs, all that stuff. Now they're back there cooking it for us. We're going to eat a good little breakfast before we go out and knock. But we're going to see if they're taking applications and see what the process looks like 5 years later. Is it online? Are they going to ask for my resume right away? Let's see. Okay. All right. So we made it. Got our breakfast. I've got eggs, hash brown, bacon, and sausage. We had a beautiful order. French toast with 100% pure maple syrup. But so thoughts, okay? A lot of guys, even within sales, they've experienced a ton of rejection. Maybe this is your first year in door-to-door and you didn't have the summer that you wanted to have. It's really, really easy to say, yep, I'm just going to be done with door-to-door. I don't want to do this anymore. And just plug into some hourly job. And there is— it is true that door-to-door is not for everybody, but everybody can figure it out. Okay. For me, it just took a little bit more time to figure it out. Took me like a full year to figure it out. And I started to capitalize on the success when I got into pest control. But the reality is you need better training. You need better mentors in your life, no matter where you're at. Like, I'm Switzerland in the pest control industry. I don't care where you sell, you can get the mentorship that you need to be able to go from having a really, really sub-average summer, a subpar summer, to blowing up. I didn't start out in pest control the best, right? I started out little by little, and if I hadn't decided to stick it out, like, I very well might have been here making $10 an hour. And there's nothing wrong with that, it's just that if you have the ability to put your head down in sales You can figure it out. I'm telling you, don't give up. Take a bite there. But don't give up on your dreams. It's okay to be— it's okay to be a little upset that you didn't have the summer that you wanted to have. But you do need to remember that sales is a process. It takes time. I'd ask you, like, if you didn't have the summer you wanted to have, did you plug into sales training every day? Did you roleplay every day? Did you get on the doors early and stay till dark every day? If not, you don't need to beat yourself up. But there are things that you can do to have a different result in the next year. DM me if you want to coach and I can mentor you one-on-one through your next summer. Don't give up on your goals for door-to-door. Door-to-door can literally change your life if you plug into a system. My training course has over 100 live sales available for you to be able to see exactly how to do this job. If I had that tool when I started, I would have taken off so much faster. So this is just my message to you. Don't give up on your, on your dreams. Like, stick it out. It's going to be tough at first, and that's okay. And if you do stick it out, you do, you'll have a different reality. Where we are right now, this could have been my reality. I would have really struggled to provide for my wife. I don't even know if we would have even had kids. Um, now we live in a beautiful home. We don't really stress a whole lot about finances just because we're able to provide value to people through sales. And this is, it's just such an incredible career. So if you're thinking about doing sales, DM me. I know a lot of people in the industry that I can connect you with as well. And, uh, just excited to be able to see this pest control industry grow with the right training. So go ahead and check out masersalestraining.com, and you'll be able to see all sorts of videos. Uh, not the videos that you've seen on my YouTube channel right now, that's just pure aura farming. So, but also go check those out too. They're really, really fun to watch. So Here we go. Let's eat some breakfast. Good job today.
I'm not kidding.
Well, you enjoy your meal? It was excellent. This is my favorite food ever. Question. I'm from Georgia, but I like— I applied here like a long time ago and they're like, it was so tough to even get a hold of anybody. What, like, is it just that one? It was full. Is it like you gotta do it online or something? Or—
yeah, you'll find one. Yeah, I mean, you can call and check on it.
Okay. Yeah, I've been waiting for 5 years. Oh, okay.
Wait there. Are you a Rewards member with us?
I don't know. Let's see.
Okay, put your phone number in. Um, Yeah, you're in there.
I am. Let's go. All right, am I good? She was excellent. I think her name was Abby. Yeah, she was great. Thank you, thank you. All right, well, and the logo's back, ain't it?
It's back.
Yes, it's back. Are y'all going to take it away again?
I'm not. No, it never— it didn't go away.
It didn't go away.
All right, and then you can hit the X. Are y'all—
yeah, are y'all going to be changing everything and taking all the stuff off the walls?
Yeah.
All right, I was worried. I was worried.
Yeah.
All right, y'all. Hey, take care now.
You too.
Thank you.
2 hours later.
All right, let's see if Crackle Barrel accepted my application.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!
