Karen Screams at Door Knockers: D2D Pest Sales

The video is a door‑to‑door pest‑control sales training session led by Austin Maser, a veteran "Bug Man" who records his interactions for a group of new trainees. The session begins with an enthusiastic welcome, explanation of the shadow‑learning process, and a walkthrough of the first sales stop. The trainer demonstrates a full sales cycle with homeowner Sharita, diagnosing pest issues, positioning a $99 first‑treatment service, handling payment method objections, and closing the sale. Throughout the day, he intersperses coaching moments, shares personal anecdotes about past confrontations, and offers cultural sales hacks (e.g., wearing a gold chain when selling to Indian communities). He also promotes his paid training products – a $997 annual course, a $250 monthly role‑play group, and branded merchandise – positioning them as essential for scaling earnings. The trainees later debrief, each stating key takeaways such as persistence, controlling the conversation, and overcoming objections. The video blends real‑time sales footage, instructional commentary, and self‑reflection, providing a comprehensive look at high‑pressure D2D sales tactics, objection handling, and the business model behind the training program.

feel like a win. We got you, we're good. We're good, we're gonna knock out a couple more. God bless, Carlos. Come on, man. So you guys are the leaders. I want you guys to just take as many notes as you can. Dude, you guys, you guys are gonna do great with this. So this is your first day ever, right?
Yeah, ever.
Dude, welcome.
Yeah, thank you.
Yeah, dude, I'm happy for you. Door-to-door is like the best thing you could ever do. You're gonna be dropping pins. You guys all do that already? Mm-hmm. Okay, so you're gonna wanna drop pins and we're gonna mark 'em as we go. So we're gonna start right here and this will be our first door for the day. How we doing today, guys?
Good, how are you?
Good, good. You the boss here?
Yeah.
Okay, so I'll explain why there are like 5 people at your door.
Hi.
So I'm with White Knight Pest Control. Okay. These guys are all following me around just because they gotta learn how to do the job. I'm the trainer. And then they've got me mic'd up to kinda show 'em the ropes. It's a hard job. It ain't easy. Some people had a company before they switched, others were doing it themselves. Do you guys have a company yet or still not yet? Okay, I figured you did. Most people do before they switch. Who do you guys end up going with this year?
I have actually— I switched because I was in Quail Valley.
And then how long have you been with them roughly?
Like a year.
It was—
well, maybe longer because I think it was summer.
Okay, so you've almost been with them for a full year. You didn't make a bad decision, by the way. What bugs did you mainly have them treating for?
Everything.
So the big roaches got in the house one day and I like almost moved out then.
What's your name, by the way?
Sharita.
Sharita, good to meet you. Good to meet you. Austin Maser. The thing is, with them not doing a full blanket treatment of the yard, that's why you're going to start seeing them even more coming these next summer months. Do you want me to go check back there? I'll meet you in the back. I was like, oh my gosh, like, you guys are already going to notice a difference just using our service. I'm going to send this over to you. All I need from you for that first one, it's just going to be the $99. Would you rather do debit or credit?
Um, debit.
Okay, perfect. Any other questions?
Um, no.
Okay, I'll have the guys go around here. Any advice for these guys?
No, I mean, I'm an easy sale because I already had it, so yeah, it might not be this easy.
Who knows? No, I think you'll like it. You'll, you'll notice a big difference.
Hey guys, I just finished up my mastermind and workshop out here in Utah, and I've got a truckload— or a vanload, I don't got my BBC out here in Utah, we got a minivan— full of Maser Sales Training gear. So if you guys hop on the course and pay for the year in full for $997, so you get a discount on the year basically, I'll personally send you a Maser Sales Training hoodie. These things are exclusive only for my mastermind members, but if you commit to training for a full year, I'll send you one of these things right here. Guys, what's more important is what's on the training course. You're gonna learn things that are gonna make you thousands of extra dollars if you study and implement them. Hop on the course today, I'll see you guys on there.
Glad I caught you, brother. Name's Austin. Hi. I like your haircut, man. We both got short hair. You have the mud dauber right here. Do you see that? See the mud dauber right there?
No, that's, uh, spray foam. See all here? See loft? Yeah, yeah, we had bats going in there.
No joke.
Yeah, you wouldn't believe how many bats came out of there.
How many?
You would not believe. Just guess.
6.
42. No. Uh, yeah, no, 42. I counted them.
That's insane.
I know.
Where'd they go? Just fly away?
Yeah, flew away. And like a few of them were dead because we sprayed them with bleach and stuff to get them out.
So that's absolutely insane.
That's why they're sealed. And then on top now, to seal it with a spray foam.
Yeah, you totally— I totally thought that that was a mud dauber nest, man.
Yeah, and the spray foam, like, just to block it so the wind go back in.
Okay. You'll use us for a year. Your wife will love it. You'll love it. You won't deal with silverfish. Thank you.
Okay.
All right, take care.
Bye-bye.
She's nice, dude.
Yeah, yeah, she is. Yeah, it's because I call her now. If I didn't call her and I want to make this be rough— no, no, she's okay with it, but if it don't work out, she's like— she will be—
what did you do?
Yeah, you got these guys on it. Don't worry, I'm still getting things inside. Every decision got to be our decision. Yeah, if it's a success, it's That's our success.
All right, happy wife, happy life.
Hi kids!
I'll do between 10 and 12, is that okay?
Perfect.
He shows up a little bit earlier, great. And I'm gonna put it so Silverfish here. Dude, have a blessed day.
Thank you.
Dude, thank you for— this is what I do for a living too, so I mean, thank you for supporting me, thanks for supporting these guys, and we'll look forward to seeing you tomorrow between 10 and 12. You're the man, dude. Hey, God bless, bro. Just finished up with Redline. I want to ask these guys one thing that they learned from shadowing today. Go ahead.
I learned that you got to be persistent, keep going.
Okay, and then how about you?
Um, I learned you gotta overcome different objections and keep going.
Okay, we went over like 5 to 6 of them with one guy. Okay, how about you, brother? What'd you learn? The people's champ always wins, whether you sell or not. Okay, the people's champ, let's go, baby! And one more.
Um, the most important thing that I took away from that is definitely the person who's asking questions is, uh, definitely in control of the conversation. And, uh, persistence is a really big thing for sure.
Love it, guys. So these guys got to see sales in real time. They got to see a switchover and they got to see a spousal objection where we had to call the wife and it was wild. Plug into the course here soon if you want to see those videos. You good? Name's Austin. I'm the Bug Man. Pleasure to meet you. Are you the boss here or is it somebody else?
Yeah, my son is here.
Okay. Do you want to grab him for me real quick? We're doing the bug control. If you want to grab him for me, we're doing best price. Okay, okay, have a good day. Bye-bye. If you notice, every time you guys sell within Indian communities, they're all wearing gold. So if you guys get yourself a $150 Jackson chain, huge rapport builder. If you keep it tucked in and you go, I like your necklace, and you just flop it, you're in. It's got to be gold. So that is a little gem if you're selling within Indian communities. I just wear a gold necklace because I'm like, I'm practically Indian. Hey, Sean, thank you for having us. You want to wear a gold necklace, okay?
Of course.
Awesome. Little sales hack they don't teach you in the sales books. One time somebody yelled at me. My Segway was dying, okay? And as my Segway was dying and I'm riding it, Beep beep beep. I look like a complete loser. And like rolling away as he's like cussing me out, he's like, go get a real job. And I go, I donate more money to my church than you make in a year, buddy. And he was like, what church do you go to? I'm like, don't worry about it. And I was like, beep beep beep. So yeah, that was, uh, that was probably the meanest thing I've ever said back to a customer. Oh, there's one other moment in my 7-year career where I lost it and snapped on a customer. I was teaching a new kid. I was away from my family for so long. And this, like, I was trying to like wave to somebody and my watch had its light on because it was super dark. And he came out yelling at me. He's like, you took a picture of my home. I was like, brother, I didn't. He starts cussing me out. And I just sit there and I'm like, you know what? I got time today. And I go, you know what? You want to look at my phone?
I was like, come here.
Come look at it. Start screaming at him just like on a drop of a dime. It was just a decision. I was like, you know what, I got time today, we're gonna, we're gonna roll. Yeah, how do you fight what you can't see? That was not professional and not a shining moment for me. Don't recommend doing that ever. All right, y'all ready? It's been a long day, tell you that. As far as the bugs go, do you guys happen to have a company yet or still not yet? I just want you to try this out for the year. And if after the year's up, you don't want to do it, no harm. You know what I mean? Sound fair?
Yeah, no, we are good for now.
Cool, dude. Dude, you're the man. No, thank you for your time. It's good for these guys to see training. Okay. Before I peel out, may I use the restroom before I peel out? Bathroom.
Bathroom?
Yes. I come in peace.
Okay, go ahead.
You're the man. These guys will stay out here. Okay. What up guys? If you're watching this episode and you want to see those deals and how I actually close them, plug into my training course where literally for just $100 a month, no contract, you can see how I close these deals. Guys, some of these deals were insane. Also consider joining my roleplay group. It's $250 a month. I roleplay with you an hour every day. By the time you see this, I might not even be doing that. So I'd hop on it now rather than later. But guys, make sure you're training daily. Let's get back to the video and see how that day ended. Where are the spiders at right now?
Around the window, but we just put it yesterday.
No stress, just try us out for the year.
Uh, can I, uh, sleep about it?
You sleep on what?
Can I think about it? Yeah, sleep about it.
If you go to sleep thinking about spiders, ma'am, that ain't good. What parts of the inside were you seeing them?
Around the corner.
Okay, the address here, I just want to confirm the address here is correct. Perfect. And then how do I spell your first name? Phone number, ma'am?
Uh, 973.
And what's a good email for you? Fua. Gmail. It was a good thing I came by today.
All right.
Thank you. When are you going to see my guy tomorrow?
Between 10 and 12.
And then how much are you paying per month? If you pay extra, what happens? We dress up as Spider-Man. Take care, Afua. Have a blessed night. We'll see you tomorrow. Okay. Good night. So you guys got to see me get told no for a long time. And then it was like 7 o'clock and I'm like, I'm not gonna freaking go home without a deal. And I just stick it out. So overcoming, this is how to overcome like the mental side of rejection. Number 1, you cannot take things personally. If you take things personally, then you'll suck at this job because people are gonna tell you no majority of the time. It's not personal, they're just not ready. 2, like affirmations. So the whole night, what did you guys hear me say in between doors? Stuff like, "Next one's a deal," or, "We're going to get a deal here soon." So positive affirmations are big. And then lastly, keeping a good energy and maybe mentally thinking about your day differently. So instead of being like, "Oh my gosh, I've been knocking for 5 hours," break it up into little chunks and be like, "It's 6:30. For the next 30 minutes—" car behind you— "I'm going to stay super focused, and my whole goal is just to talk to, like, try to close 3 people." So you break, you break up your day into like a shorter chunk. That way it doesn't feel like this long, long day. So that's how I kind of dealt with that. I was like, dude, it's 7 o'clock, I'm just gonna go one more, one more, one more. And then the last thing is probably just, hey dude, just always commit to doing one more even if it's dark. I don't even care if I like can't eat dinner tonight. I feel better about hitting a goal. Yeah. Than I do like ending the doors early. I am a different human because I decided to stay out later than I was like the Maser that got in the truck early and went home I was like, oh, whatever, is different than the Maser that I am right now. And so you guys need more W's like that. So stay out late.
