Hello?
Hello, yes sir. Yes sir, I'll take a cheeseburger and a large fry.
A cheeseburger and a large fry?
Yep.
Did you order a cheeseburger and a large fry?
I'm kidding, brother. Hey, so I just do that with the Ring doorbells. Hey, so we've got it, we've got our truck in the neighborhood today. We're just, uh, doing the bugs. Do you guys have somebody yet or not yet? Hyped up on Creed. Got a guy in a lawnmower.
Let's go!
Key when approaching a guy in a lawnmower is you just freaking walk up to them and tell them what you're doing. You don't need to be bashful when you're trying to get a hold of somebody. You just need to tell them why you're there, and you can't have the attitude of You want one?
Uh, yes please.
Cool. You can't have the attitude of like, oh, I'm gonna bother people. It's like the best time to talk to him because he's got time. What up, brother? I like that. You want to trade? Yeah. Okay, so I'll be super quick with you because I gotta head out. Are you the owner here? Okay, we're doing the pest control in your neighborhood, okay? Mainly ants and spiders. What's your name? Javier, habla español por chance? Estamos haciendo entrenamiento, así que me tienen con micrófono, él lo graba para que—
What is he saying?
He must be lowering the price. Okay, Norman, I need to use the bathroom. You can stay here. Okay, where are you— what parts of the home are you seeing the ants in, brother?
Uh, the kitchen.
Bingo. Okay, cool. Um, when— what parts of the year are those like the worst? Because I noticed, uh, They start to get bad now. Fall, they start pushing in the house.
Okay. Yeah, it was this summer actually. I don't know, we have a crack behind the sink.
Okay, that's where they're coming in from.
That's probably— and we sprayed back there and tried to kill it.
I'm glad, I'm glad that you did something. Is the crack visible? Do you want to show that to me real quick? Can you get a good idea of it?
I mean, the dogs are going to bark at you.
Is that all right?
And cool, it's kind of messy, but hey, I won't judge.
Hey, shoes on or off?
There, it's fine.
Okay, okay. And then now we're Hey, this is awesome. So what do we got over here? What's up, brother? What's up? So are you the main one in charge here then, sir?
Yeah, okay, it's right here.
So this is the crack and this is exactly where they're coming from, huh?
Yeah.
My concern is this is actually helping me to get a good idea. You've got the backyard right here. Yeah, the brother, the first service tomorrow, just because I already have the truck here, dude. I told you, you don't even have $100 right now. It's fine, that's fine. As soon as you said that, I'm like, we're good.
Tomorrow I don't have any money to spend towards that.
Well, it's okay.
Look, tomorrow, the last thing on my totem pole right now, tomorrow's the— whatever it is, the last thing on my agenda.
Tomorrow's first service, just because we're here, it's not $300, dude. If it were $300, I'd tell you pump the brakes. Like, I don't—
honestly, I don't care if it's $5.
Like, it's, it's So it's $59. That's it.
I know, and I am like—
so first one, I'm saying first one's $59.
I just went and got another job because I can't afford shit. So I'm just— I'm at that point where it's like, this is the worst house to come to.
Is— if your wife were on board with it, would you do— oh, Boise's playing. Sorry.
Yeah, you're good.
Um, if your wife were on board with you, would you do it?
2 or 3 jobs, so it's like we're just trying to survive. The ants, we kill them and then we go on with life.
I would just say, I mean, could we try to give her a call just to see if she shoots it down?
She's working right now, she won't answer.
I'm sorry, we tried, we tried.
I appreciate that effort.
No, no, you're awesome, man.
Hey, it's just where we are, or where I am.
Is that CU? No, that's you. That's Florida.
Yeah, I think so.
There was Florida's beating Boise. All right, guys. Hey. We tried, right?
You tried.
Okay. Thank you, guys.
Just where we are.
Yes, sir. Hey, y'all have a blessed day. Okay. If for just the sake of, oh my gosh, we need it, let's at least tell him so that— Oh, I'll definitely tell him. Maybe like down the road. Yeah. Is that an ice cream truck? It sure does sound like one. That's fantastic. Hey, I was going to say go Dawgs because I'm a Georgia fan. Y'all have wrecked us. I mean, y'all have destroyed so many seasons. I know. No, no discount for the Alabama fans. So that's my joke. I was just saying like, like we usually do discounts, but if you're from— if you're about to have an Alabama fan, full price. I'm playing. So because I told you, if I can help you, I'll for sure help you. So this is a PDF that they sent you. How you doing? You don't want me to knock on your door again? Appreciate you harassing my wife like this. Which one were you? Right there. If for just the sake of, oh my gosh, we need it, let's at least tell him so that— oh, you know what I mean? Tell him maybe like down the road. Yeah. Um, that an ice cream truck? Oh yeah. Hey, I got you, I got you. Do you know them? Okay. She really wanted to sign up, but he didn't. Like, that's a little bit of background there. Okay, um, okay, back to my, back to my story. Hey, we're not going to show you the rest of this video, but I freaking closed it. Want to figure out how? Hop on the freaking course. Okay, let's go back. Thanks for being one of our first, you know, round of customers this year. It's exciting. Okay, take care now. Okay, there we go. All right, we're gonna go over here to debrief. All right, man, well, I think we called it. That was gonna be a deal. And the lesson for today is— and I'm gonna keep going— but the lesson for today is how do you show up mentally when shit hits the fan? Okay, it's like yesterday we started at 4, we knocked until dark, didn't get anything. Today It's 7 o'clock. That was my first deal of the day. And so you start to get like urgent, like, I need to get a deal, and that's fine. But the one thing that helped me there is I just had human connection with her. So it's like no matter what you do, you can always make your situation sound like the better option, right? So super grateful we were able to snag that one and we still have plenty of time for us to finish the night. Keep going. Older house, they have problems with little roaches, big roaches. Okay. Yeah, so we're gonna be a little bit different. We actually do the entire property and we'll come out for you every single month. Ours is just $99 a month. That's it. We come out 12 times a year though. That way you never have to call, if that makes sense. Okay. So if we're gonna come out 12 times as opposed to just 6, is that something you'd be interested in? Yes, but they come. Yeah, every month for me too. You're good. Okay. Thank you. Hey, have a good day. Okay. How y'all doing today? Name's Austin Maser. We're doing the bug service out here. We got a little party going on in here. What we got going on? There you go. Okay, well, good news, guys. So I actually do the bug control in your guys' community. Okay, we're a local company, just started this year. Who's the boss here? The one that don't speak English. Yep, that one. What's she speak? Spanish. Habla español entonces? Yo soy gringo pelado que habla español. Mucho gusto. ¿Cómo estás? ¿Cuánto cuesta? Me gusta, solo hablamos de precio nomás, porque yo estoy cansado. Vamos a hacer todo alrededor, limpiaremos todas las telarañas. Okay, there was just too much going on there, so, uh, here we are. Um, sometimes in scenarios like that, you just have to, you just have to try to isolate all these, like, variables going on. And there was just too much going on. They got like a little bit overwhelmed, and so I wasn't able to close the deal there, but that's okay. So anyways, we're at one right now. It's getting dark, 7:34, and we'll probably start walking back towards our car, scouting out for other options to be able to find somebody. We're gonna hit this door right here. So today I put in a ton of knocks and I just had to have a one more door mentality the entire day and ended up catching a whale at the very, very end. Yeah! It was a switchover and I was able to build value on the fact how they do 6 services, I do 12 for them a year. And the win wasn't so much in like, oh, I got a deal. It was just the fact that I was able to stay positive the entire time. And so if you're knocking doors right now and if you're having a slow day, you need to stay positive the entire day because things can turn around super, super fast in this job. So if you're struggling to keep that positive mentality, I take a couple of guys every year under my wing to coach them. I do a lot of one-on-one mentorship. DM me on Instagram or comment below and we can start talking.
