In this YouTube vlog, Austin Maser (host of Maser Sales Training) visits Aloha Pest Control headquarters in Hawaii, meeting operations manager Tammy and field reps Tristan and Tyler. He reflects on his previous $45,000 week selling pest control there and demonstrates door‑to‑door sales techniques adapted to the local, laid‑back culture. The video alternates between on‑the‑street sales calls—showcasing objection handling for renters and spouses, use of option closes, reading body language, and building personal connections—and off‑duty moments like pig‑hunting, tasting gas‑station food, and exploring local scenery. Throughout, Austin intersperses instructional commentary, emphasizing the importance of relationship‑first selling, staying persistent, and tailoring pitches to Hawaiian customers. The latter part of the video is a promotional pitch for his Maser Sales Training program, offering a discount code, role‑play groups, and one‑on‑one coaching. Key metrics mentioned include a $45K revenue week, a $3K day from two accounts, and the use of a “Black Friday” discount. The vlog blends sales education, cultural insights, and personal adventure, positioning the content as both a field training example and a marketing piece for the training course.

I just flew into Hawaii last night and we're at Aloha Pest Control and Termite headquarters where we're gonna go say hi to Tammy. And she like runs the entire show here. When I came out here last March, I had my biggest week in my entire pest control career, did $45K in revenue. And let's go in and get to meet her so you get to see what they do here. They've got all their trucks over here, um, and looks like this is a This is the entrance right here. Good to see you. I'll bring the girls in here in a minute. I wanted to bring Kaya in. Hi, thank you. I, uh, I told Kaya I was gonna vlog a little bit of this stuff just because—
what?
I love it. Oh yeah, this is, this is University of Georgia.
Yeah, I know.
Yep. Um, I'm just like, I'm excited. I'm literally just doing one day out here just for funsies.
Well, how many days are you guys here?
A full week. So Aloha Pest Control is one of my favorite companies that I've ever sold for. I came here in March and did $45,000 in revenue. And very, very well-known company out here. Everybody loves you guys. As soon as they knock on the door, they know who we are, the red and yellow tribal. I was very impressed by your customer service, and it's something that you told me that I needed to maintain when I came to sell for you. Correct. You guys care more about that than you do about the revenue, which I think is very, very important. So talk to me about, as somebody who is behind all the operations, the importance of how you need to hold yourself as a sales rep?
Well, here in the islands, you want to maintain like a family type of relationship. And I think with that, it goes a long way. You don't want to sell somebody's grandma something they don't need.
Mm-hmm.
Or something that right now is just crazily priced. We're not, we're not about— we're more about making the relationship, then I think the money will follow.
What was it, Coconut Wireless?
100%. Yeah, 100%.
Well, in my sales training, like, I'm traditionally— I think we talked about this, and I got one review from you guys when I was selling. Yes, the guy was really high pressure. Traditionally, I'm a little bit more straightforward. When I sold out here, I had to dial it back a lot more. And just create connections, and it was way more fun. And so that's one of the things I saw out here.
You will spend more time making that connection, but I think when you do make that connection, you will definitely get the sale.
Yep.
Thank you. All right.
Yeah, you want to—
yeah, it's just a hug. No, that's great. Oh, this chick's name is Denise. I was going through TSA, and she looked at all of our tickets, and she goes, "Which one of y'all is Georgia?" And I was like, "Yeah, my daughter's name is Georgia." It's like the Key Peele.
D-nice.
If one of y'all says some silly-ass name, this whole class is gonna feel my wrath. Now, D-nice.
Do you mean Denise? Son of a bitch! Hawaii is one of the funnest places in the world to sell. As you guys heard earlier with my interview with Tammy, I do have to kind of like dial back a little bit of the pressure here because people here are just easygoing and you can't be super high pressure right off the rip. So don't be surprised if today you see me use more option closes than normal. I typically found that those had some success out here. So follow me and let's see how many how many accounts I can rip before I have to head out on my date tonight. Let's go! We just signed up your neighbors right here, Christy. She's got the big dog Hercules. Looks like you can rip your face off. Really freaking scary. I was like, I need that dog for hunting. Do both or just the outside? Big roaches inside, we're getting nothing. So thank goodness, because the little roaches out here, I swear there's like an epicenter that we're trying to find right now. But like, people are like, yeah, I had no roaches for years and now I have them.
No, yeah, we're okay, we're good.
If we were able to do more for you and we were competitive in that price range, would there be any reason why you wouldn't try us out?
Uh, just not interested right now though.
You're a good dude, man. Thanks for your time. That's one of those things where he was just being nice and listening to me. So just be aware of like, I'm typically not a big fan of like, hey, if we could do this, would you be open to give me a shot? I do that on purpose to just get the heck out of there because I'm not getting any buying signs in the body language. So make sure that when you're using the sales training I teach you, you're getting a good read on people. Obviously, say whatever you're saying with confidence, but if you're not getting any vibes from somebody, do not waste your time. Turn and burn, right? Go to the next door. Dude, that looks like a hunting dog. Hey, how y'all doing today? Good, good. Uh, you the boss man here, or is it somebody else? How you guys doing today? I went hunting the other day, and I wish I would have had that dog. He would have done way better. Good to meet you. I'm Austin. Pleasure to meet you. So this is Tristan. I'm with Aloha. You've heard of us before, right? We do take care of your neighbors across the street. I'll show you right here on my map. But you've been seeing the ants and the roaches? Oh yeah, roaches for sure.
Yes.
Big or little?
Little one.
Okay. And I'm going to guess I've been doing this for 6 years. They're mainly in the kitchen and bathrooms. Yes. I'm the roach whisperer. Okay.
I mean, they've been around, the big ones, but these little pest ones just came out recently.
There's been a wave here. Mm-hmm. The reason why I ask is because once the roaches— once they get in, they're pretty much there to stay unless you get it taken care of professionally. Yeah, that's the thing.
I've been trying to contact our landlord.
I have never met a landlord that will cover the pest control. We need to go collect rent from the roaches. Yeah, well, I was gonna say, let's start, let's start charging the, let's start charging the roaches rent.
Rent.
Okay, so the way we do that, we just got to get rid of them. What's a good phone number for you?
Um, 808.
Yes, ma'am. And then what's a good email for you? Because I'll send everything over to you via email at gmail.com. 1, 2, 3. You're awesome. Let me know if you have any questions, but you'll see us on the 17th. Okay. God bless. So with any objection, you have to hit it head on. I can't be like, well, I'll do a discount. Does that sound fair? Instead, you have to say, look, your husband really doesn't care about this a whole lot, so we just got to get it done. And same thing with the landlord. Your landlord doesn't care about it. He's in the moneymaking business. So as you continue to study my sales training, if you're watching this YouTube video, I didn't show you the whole thing on purpose. You need to subscribe to the course. You will notice that all of my selling is situational. What are the objections that are going to come up? How do I cater my pitch to that situation? So for her, the two scenarios were rental, renting, and then also spousal. So I had to really work on both of those the whole time. By the very end of the sale, She was totally on board to the point where she's like, yeah, I don't care. I'm going to do it no matter what my husband says. So plug into Major Sales Training. If you're struggling with spouse objection or renter objection, you need to be on the course. And if you're watching the YouTube page, hopefully you're getting a lot of value from it. This is just the free stuff. The stuff that you pay for is even better. Just make sure that whether it's me or somebody else, you have a coach and you're training daily. If you're not training daily, you shouldn't expect to get better. Right? It'd be like going to the gym occasionally and expecting to get in better shape. You need to be in that discipline daily in order to actually see improvements. Australia, dude, freaking ride up on a kangaroo instead of a Segway. That'll be fun. Name's Austin, so I'm with Aloha. So your next door neighbors used us for the tinting last year. Do you remember that?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So biggest thing we're seeing in this neighborhood are the ants and the spiders. We're doing a Black Friday discount. I'm talking mainly about the wasps, the spiders, and the roaches. What do you guys mainly see the most of recently? The roaches, dude. They're bad out here, aren't they? Where do you guys mainly see them? Are they more kitchen or bedroom areas?
Uh, mostly around the kitchen area.
Yeah. Yes, sir. Hey, by the way, what's your name? Eric. Eric, good to meet you, bro. Right. I've seen some crazy stuff. I've been doing pest since ever since I had hair, man. I got— I ain't got nothing now. Kitchen area, we'll need to make sure we do a full flush out there. Okay, we always will give you a call before we come out. That way you're well aware we're on the way. What's a good number for you, brother?
8088.
Just a good email for you, my friend, at yahoo.com. What do you like to do for fun, man? Anything outdoors. It's fun, man. Were you at the turkey trot?
No, I was too busy cooking.
There you go, man. How'd that Thanksgiving turn out for you guys? Good, good, man. Got this set up right here. Bear with me here. Dude, you're the man. Hey, thank you. We look forward to taking care of you, man. And, uh, no No more roaches, brother. Hopefully. Well, remember, it's not gonna be magic.
Yeah, just like, I mean, Rome wasn't built in a day, you know what I mean?
That's right, that's right. Well, it'll be a process, but we'll get you taken care of.
I'll do that.
Hey, take care, brother.
All right, you guys have a good one.
You too, man, have a good one. What up, Pest Control Reps? If you're starting out this summer and you don't have a coach or you're not into sales training yet, you need to be on Maser Sales Training. On my course, I have over 100 videos of me selling to real customers door-to-door in every region of the United States with every single objection in every single demographic. You need to be on there because I don't just tell you how to do it, I show you how to do it. Also consider joining my roleplay group. Monday through Friday we meet, we roleplay for 45 minutes a day. For just $249 a month, you have access to work with me 20 times a month. Last but not least, hit me up if you need a coach to work with one-on-one. We'll, we'll actually do two phone calls catered to you specifically, and then also will AirPod shadow you where I give you real-time advice while you're on your doors through an AirPod, and I will help you attack those closing windows right then and there. So whether it's me or somebody else, you absolutely need to have a coach. I expect to see you on the course. Use code MASER20 to get $20 off your first month, and so we can— so that we can get you training and get you selling at the highest level possible.
It's not pig hunting, but I like literally gave a correlation where like, sails is surfing. You like, you paddle all day and like if you had a really awesome day, you rode for like 5 minutes. You know what I'm saying? Because it's like, I mean, you actually like talk to any good surfer, like, dude, they had like the sickest ride. How long was the ride? It was like freaking 10 seconds, right? If they had this awesome day, it's like I was like, "How many waves you get up on?" Like, "I don't know, like 10." And it's like, when you think about them being out for like hours and hours and hours, and most of it was just paddling in the waves, getting rocked, and then the actual like surfing part wasn't that much, if that makes sense.
Speaking is sells, dude. There's no difference. They're like one and the same. It's insane how similar they are. I could might as well just be knocking doors right now.
All right, about to go kill a pig.
I don't know if we'll kill one, but I'm gonna watch somebody do it, or maybe they'll let me like get a couple pigs.
I think it should be you, dude.
Yes!
You're kind of like the one that's taking— has the most to lose, per se, going on this trip.
Yeah.
Did anyone get my reference? When you like, uh, you're like, it's a big pig day, and then I just sent the Ricky Baker from Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
Oh, that's what I was—
wiping his mud on his face.
Sweet. Honestly, some of the— some of the better fruit I've had off the ground.
In Hawaii.
That's pretty fire. You guys want some?
Give it an 8 out of 10.
Yeah, for the fact you found it on the ground. Yeah, yeah, it's really good.
All right, so we found an orange. Tyler found one on the ground.
This might be the only thing we catch today, so we're relishing it.
There's always the chicken by the cars. I guess pig hunting is a little bit like sales. Sometimes you don't find something for a long time. Just got to keep a good attitude, enjoy the journey. Let's pray we find ourselves a piggy.
Or what do you call them, chemotherapy berries? Or if you lose your scent, then you can eat these and bring it back. So we're going to try.
Taste review. Compared to the orange, got an 8. What are we at with that?
Yeah, I can show you the video of the guy talking about it. Actually, I thought it'd be like really sour, but it just doesn't taste like anything.
Yeah, it's like—
out of 10?
Like literally doesn't taste like anything, so it's like hard to rate. Maybe like 2. All right, 2 out of 10.
Want to try them? Yeah, I'll try one.
They don't— they literally don't taste like anything. So if you want to get a mango from the mango tree, what's the best way?
Buying it.
I mean, yeah, they're like the opposite of taste.
There's a little bit like grittiness that's in it.
I don't understand why that's a real thing.
I thought it'd be like salad or something. Maybe we all ate a poisonous berry that's going to make us crap our pants.
Maybe we're already dead.
Who are you?
Nate.
Bird dash.
It's all a simulation.
You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
We're hunting out here. We were at— we were literally like sitting down for lunch being super loud, obnoxious, and we're like 20 feet away from us, a pig snorts and we heard it before the dogs did. They did nothing. I think my house cat could have done better.
Look at that, dude.
That is cool.
We're pig hiking.
We're pig hiking. We're not pig hunting, but we are pig hiking.
Found some passion fruit out here.
Delicious.
What the hell is wrong with you? There's something in those trees.
All right, so we make it to this ridge. We're basically just climbing a cliff right now. Like, holy crap, this is crazy. This ain't no joke. We heard a pig growl at us. And the dogs didn't do nothing. I don't know. Who knows what's going on. We're just going to keep on hiking through this stuff. It looks prehistoric. Tyler, finish him. Oh damn! To all my door-to-door sales reps, gas stations are a staple in door-to-door culture. And here in Hawaii, apparently the 7-Elevens are different because they're like still owned by Japan or something. I don't know. We're gonna go look to see what's inside these 7-Elevens. All right, Tyler claims this gas station is better than Wawa.
What you got?
Look at this.
So get over the back here. So it's like every ill you could think of, insane. You can throw them in the microwave. They're freshly made every morning, right? But they got that and then all the way to like You know, like gas station sushi, like every single morning they make this, so it's fresh. Here? Yeah, go somewhere on island, right?
That's where I go.
Yeah. Guess how much this costs?
A dollar.
I don't think so. It's like $8.
What is it?
It's like, it's like, it's like a sweet bread, but it's like really weird.
What is that?
It's tuna and egg salad. Like, what the heck?
I like it, man. Look at this, mochi donuts over here.
Are you still hungry? Are you—
no, I'm actually doing really well. If I eat right now, it won't be because I'm hungry, it'll just because I'm— yeah, trying new food. Manapua. What is this?
Spaghetti. These, they have pork hash too. This is like a—
it's not a sweet thing.
No, there's— it's like bread with meat inside it, right? So it's Filipino food. But I'd suggest getting one of these, that, and then the subi. You've had the subis before? No, these are really, really common fast food. Um, it's, it's— man, I don't know, it's good though.
Got an original pork hash. All right, we got to try these things. Oh, there's a gecko out here too. Look at this.
You go run.
They jump on you. Believe it or not, as much of a door-to-door guy that I am, I've never really eaten gas station like meat. I've only done energy drinks, maybe the occasional donut, so really going out of my comfort zone here. I don't want to do that. I don't want—
you don't like it?
Really?
The texture?
Yeah. Huh.
It's a meatball.
I know. I can't do it.
You don't do meatballs?
I wasn't expecting that. So I was expecting it—
I should have told you that.
I was expecting it to almost fall apart, like almost like shredded pork. Oh yeah, and I ate into it and it was like a chicken nugget or like a meatball.
Yeah, dang, I should have set the right expectation. Um, would that change anything?
No. Okay, it's okay. Um, my bias has been confirmed. I do not like gas station meat, but I will continue to go to gas stations for my energy drinks. I'm sorry, Tyler.
Holly, Holly, uncultured.
Today I was able to go out and do 2 accounts just shy of $3K, um, just through putting in the knocks.
Yeah, so no, I mean, 100% of this job and hunting or just life, man, is honestly trusting the process, right? And just putting on the, the outputs and just the results will come, right?
When I sold with you guys this summer is like the big 9 PM club that I talk a lot about in Maser Sales Training now. That had a huge impact on my results when I was knocking. But no matter what, just staying out until 9 o'clock or later— and I think that's one key takeaway from just this whole episode of like, you know, hunting for pigs and maybe not getting the results you wanted— you have to stay in, and eventually those results come.
Yep, 100% of the time.
So pig hunting is like Sales. Just sales is— it just pays more. And, uh, you can have a little bit more control over selling.
I'd agree.
Especially if your dogs just take naps all day.
I'd agree.
Thank you.
