A pest-control sales coach shows how to handle the spousal objection. Instead of letting one spouse relay your pitch to the other, ask to present directly to both decision-makers together. You control the message and close the deal.

When pitching pest control to one of the spouses, avoid letting the spouse go in and talk to their partner because their pitch of your perfect pitch is going to sound like this.
Hey honey, there's a guy selling pest control. I heard you want to— it's like $89 or something. Do you want to buy it? No, we're good, dude.
You cannot let the spouse do your pitch. They don't know how to sell pest control. You do. So instead do this. Hey man, I'm going to go over everything for you. That way you know what we're doing. But just so I don't have to go over this twice, go ahead and grab your spouse for me real quick. That way I can tell both of you at the same time. Going to grab her for me real quick? Cool. If you do that, it allows you to get both decision makers on board at the same time, and it actually gets rid of the risk of them having this awful service pitch to their partner.
