Matt Bullock walks through Spinify's five user roles: Super Admin, Manager, Marketing User, Participant, and Fan. Each has different permissions. Assigning the right role speeds up onboarding, tightens security, and keeps your account organized. Go to Team → Users, edit a user, and pick their role.

Here's a quick one that can save you a lot of admin headaches. If you're onboarding new people into Spinify, make sure you're using user roles. Instead of giving everyone the same permissions, you can assign the right level of access for each person. Super admins have full administrative access, including assigning and changing roles. While managers can add, edit, and remove users, and create competitions, but they can't change users' roles. Marketing users can view the admin dashboard and reports, but don't have admin-level accessibility, meaning they can't add or edit users, or create competitions like a manager or super admin. Participants have standard player access with no admin permissions. Fans will have standard platform access depending on their license. For example, admin fans can view dashboards and reports but can't make changes, while player or fan licenses are limited to viewing the player platform only. It keeps your account organized, improves security, and makes onboarding much simpler. Setting it up takes less than a minute. Just head to Team, then Users, edit the user, and choose the appropriate role. Simple change, big difference.
