Here are 3 tips to help you get the most out of fast finish and progression runs. 1. Avoid speeding up early in anticipation of the fast finish or progression. Think of that last part of the run as dessert, which you earn by holding yourself back in the first part. 2. Don't make that rookie mistake of speeding up too much. Think of yourself as a vehicle with a manual transmission, and you're shifting up just one gear at the start of that progression or fast finish. 3. Don't worry about cooling down after you complete the Fast Finisher progression. Although traditional, cooldowns aren't really necessary. Science shows they have no impact whatsoever on recovery or performance in the next run.
