A short YouTube-transcript excerpt advising personal trainers and salespeople to reduce reliance on cold calling by warming leads first. Recommends using funnels (downloadable content, email forms, or cold SMS) to soften outreach and improve receptivity, while acknowledging cold calling still has some value.
Mentioned you. You're trying to kind of limit the amount of cold calls people are doing or personal trainers are doing.
I would recommend warming up before you do anything vigorous and cold calling is, you know, people have a different relationship with telephone calls than they used to. Some it's can be startling to get a call from a number you don't. You aren't familiar with and even further startling to be immediately pitched to and when you answer the phone. So what I recommend is the use of these funnels so you can warm your leads up by prompting them to download something from your site, sharing something from your site, whether it's an email form. I'd say even a cold SMS text is a little bit softer than a cold call. So by no means am I saying put less effort into outreach. I'm just saying that you want to warm up your lead to the extent possible before. Before you get on the call. You know, I still think there's value in cold calling and I will still pick up phone numbers that I don't recognize just out of empathy.
