Hi guys, it's Matthew here. So look, we're coming up to the end of the year now. I have had the most incredible year of my life. I've also had the longest year of my life. This show Ready for Love that was supposed to be this big thing and then wasn't. This big thing. The book that I brought out, Get the Guy, becoming a New York Times bestseller at the same time as the show not working. The tour being an amazing success and having so many great people coming out to see us. Being on the Today Show every other week. Being on Rachel Ray. having my own radio show now on iHeartRadio. So many exciting things have happened. And the realization I had is that my favorite thing this year, the thing that I have derived the most enjoyment from is making these videos. And the reason that's such a big, big realization is because when I look at all of it, it's by far the most modest thing that I've done this year. Just being in this place, my apartment with Jameson, who, you know, made up in my head maybe eight months ago today and filming a four minute video just sitting here and talking about something. For me, the lesson from that is that because I get to talk about what I love and because I get to do it the way I want to do it and I get to put my creative energy into it, it is the epitome of my passion. It's everything that I got into this for. It's the same as when I made my first YouTube video when I was, I think, 19 years old. If you haven't seen it, Go back to the beginning of my YouTube channel, go watch that. I'm real cute, small, less facial hair, and I get as much enjoyment out of it today as I did then. Nothing has changed. My life has gotten crazy and so many different things are happening, and yet this is still the favorite thing that I do. And I've stuck to this this year consistently because I tried to really make it a routine that every week I have a video. There's that line I always use, Keith Cunningham, it's not my line, it's a guy named Keith Cunningham who said it, Ordinary things done consistently produce extraordinary results. ordinary results. In other words, if you keep doing ordinary things every day or every week, something extraordinary will come of it. Not because you're performing a miracle on one day, but because you're performing action every day. And that's what we tried to do with these videos, is do something ordinary every week. Not every idea is revolutionary, not every video was a masterpiece, but putting something out there every week without fail, without being a perfectionist, without using excuses about why we can't, just putting it out there. And it's led to extraordinary things. You guys are living proof of how ordinary things to extraordinary results. I have women on my events. On my retreat two weeks ago, I had women coming up to me saying, I look forward to your Sunday video every week. Every time it comes out, I'm excited about it. I sit and watch it. That's amazing. This time last year, people weren't saying that. We didn't have this community of people who were gathering to watch these videos each Sunday. And now we do. And it's beautiful when you guys talk to each other and you talk to me and I get all the feedback. It's an amazing experience and it's this accumulation of effort that has created it. And I'm very proud of it. It's taught me two things. One, you don't have to be living this ideal version of your passion in order to enjoy what it is you love doing. You have something you love in your life right now. It doesn't have to be perfect for you to start. You can just start it on the lowest level. As I said, I'm doing the same thing to you right now as I was doing when I was 19 and broke and trying to figure out how I was going to start this whole career. Whatever it is your passion is, start living it now, even if you live it for five minutes a day. day or five minutes a week. And the second thing is ordinary things done consistently create extraordinary results. There are routines that if you begin them in January as the new year starts in 2014 will change your life if you stick to them and are disciplined with them and don't be a perfectionist about them. I wanna say a huge thank you to you guys for helping me build this community and be with this incredible group of people. It's a lot of women, but there's some guys too. incredible people who want to grow. I respect all of you for watching these videos and for being part of this with me. We're a team and I see it that way every week when we talk and go through things. I try and play with you a little bit. I try and tease you a little bit and have fun with you. But I love the relationship we have and I value every single person who watches these videos. And as the year draws to a close, I just want to say a huge thank you. What ordinary thing have you done this year that you're really proud of because you stuck to it? And if you can't think of one, then write down what one you're gonna do for next year. Have an amazing Christmas. If you don't celebrate Christmas, happy holidays. And I will see you so soon. Take care, my friends. Merry Christmas, Jameson.
