I meant to bring a cup of tea to this one. Nightmare. Spotlight. Susanna, Susanna, what's your question? Let me know. Hi to all of you on Instagram. Jani in Colombia, everyone joining us on TikTok right now. Welcome. All right. I'm excited. Who's who's ready for a weekend? I'm definitely ready for the weekend. Although to be honest with you, I don't have too much of a weekend this weekend. I'm spending the majority of my weekend planning for our event together on Tuesday. So let me know that you're going to be let me know that my weekend is well spent and that you're coming because this is most of my weekend. This weekend is literally just refining ideas and content that I know is going to help you on Tuesday. So If you're coming, let me know. I'd love to know. And for everyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, I'm doing a event on Tuesday called Dating Made Simple, which is for anybody who really needs to sneeze. No, for anyone who wants to find love and is finding that dating itself is just really demoralizing right now and you've had enough, but you don't wanna give up. You both are sick and tired of the dating process, but you also don't wanna give up. If that describes you and you want to make this whole thing easier and simpler, I'm gonna be doing some of my best content on Tuesday in a structured masterclass called Dating Made Simple. You can join if you're on Instagram or Facebook by commenting the word love, and I'll send you a link to your DMs and get you registered inside your DMs. and if you're on YouTube and TikTok, you can go to this link up here, www.lovelifetraining.com Harrison's gonna throw that up for you right there. www.lovelifetraining.com It'll take you seconds, but this is gonna be a really amazing event. We'll do some a couple of questions today and I wanna hang out with you for a bit today, so don't worry, I'm not going anywhere just yet. I just wanted to make sure that as many of you as possible know that this is coming. Paul says, what age should a person give up. Look, I, I don't think that you're not going to give up on living, right? You're not going to give up on being a person who is just open to experiences and adventures and opportunities. You know, if you hadn't met someone at 80 years old, but you were like, I'm still open to whatever life may bring and you continue to bring a playful, flirtatious fun, warm energy to situations. Are you gonna meet someone to spend the next 10-15 years with, you know, as long as, you know, let's hope we all live that long. Who knows? I bet you have some experiences. I bet you have some more Adventures. I bet you have some Adventures left in you, so. And. And, Paul, my guess is you're not in your 80s, so I don't. I don't think that there is an age to, quote, give up. I think there's. If you're still breathing, there's still. There's still life to be lived. So I'd be enjoying the hell out of it. Good evening, Christina on Instagram. Let's see. This is a big one. Aya Benita says, hi, Matt. I am a lesbian and my Muslim lesbian ex. dropped a bomb yesterday that she got married for religious purposes. We were still together. We were still together. And this happened behind my back and kept it from me, my ex. So she just became your ex because of this is what I'm guessing. I mean, that's. a huge bombshell. The fact that she did it behind your back. Let's take religion out of it for a minute. I know that, you know, religion is obviously in your mind. It will be like the thing that got between us was her religion. But actually, you know, in many ways, the worst offense here is the fact that she got married behind your back. You know, that to me, that's the headline. You could take the religion part out of it and say the person that I was in love with who claimed to be in love with me or the person that I was with, I'm assuming that there was love there, just did this without me knowing. What does that say about this person's ability to communicate? what does this say about the level of avoidance in this person? That is an extraordinary level of avoidance that instead of communicating to you, she just went and did this. Those people like that, you. You don't want them close to you. As much as you may still love this person, as much as you may still care about this person, you can't have people like that close to you, not. you know, certainly not. They can't be there in the role of the person you, you're in love with, the person you're in a romantic relationship with, because you can't rely on a person like that. What would be the next thing that she would suddenly spring on you that you had no idea about and she didn't communicate with you? You shouldn't. You know, your job is to now recognize that this has taught you something about this person and that. you know, you. What you want to select for in future relationships is great communicators. I am. I'm gonna assume another thing, which is that this wasn't the only time she showed herself to be incapable of good communication. And I would be paying attention to that next time around. Not that in any way this is. I'm claiming this is your fault. But, you know, this is someone who has an extraordinary degree of avoidance that they. didn't bring this to you. Whatever is going on in their life, you don't do that to your teammate. You don't do that to the person whose back you're supposed to have above all else. And it's whatever is influencing her. Jessica, I see you on TikTok saying, unfortunately certain cultures encourage this type of toxic behavior. I always say it, I come back to it again. That's nothing to do with you. you know, your, your job is not to make yourself responsible for the culture that someone is from. And it's also not to excuse her because of the culture she's from. Ultimately, there comes a time in our lives where we have to take responsibility for our actions. She's an adult. She has to take responsibility for her actions. And if you're with, and if the reality is, she's being controlled by somebody else, then that's not something you can save her from. But she has to take responsibility for leaving you completely in the dark about that. Rosie glow says you give really great advice. Thank you, Rosie glow. I appreciate you. Nice to be here with you all. It's lovely to be here on this Friday, right? on the. On the cusp of the weekend. Natty noodle. No. Says, why are men so excited in the first few weeks and then they burn out quickly? I don't want to answer that right now because it's gonna tread on some stuff that I'm gonna do on my free event on Tuesday. So I'm gonna park that question until Tuesday. What I will say is for anybody who is feeling like dating these days is an endless trudgery of meeting people who can't seem to sustain attention, who can't seem to commit to anything, who don't even put enough initial investment into anything to see what it could be, let alone get to the point of commitment. If that's your experience over and over again, The event I'm doing on Tuesday, Dating Made Simple, is for you. That is available. You can sign up right now by going to www.lovelifetraining.com the link is right up here. www.lovelifetraining.com if you're on Instagram or Facebook, comment the word... what is the word? Love. Comment the word love and I'll be in your DMs with you. and helping you get signed up. Okay. Make sure that you're there. You can topia on Instagram says, are you okay? You seem quite emotional. I I think I'm okay. If there's emotion, I must be living somewhere beneath the surface that you're noticing. I think I'm all right. Yeah, I'm looking forward to the weekend. I'm looking forward to tonight. I've got my cousin in town and my brother's here, and we're all gonna go and see a. A movie, which I'm excited about. So, yeah, I feel. I feel good. Maybe what you're noticing is just a change, a fluctuation, a change in tone. And that's what happens in life, isn't it? We meet, you know, we. We spend time with people, and sometimes they're one way and sometimes they're another, as long as they're still, you know, as long as they're not making our life miserable. These are just the fluctuations of being a person. all right, let's see. Plan me says, I actually think you're quite happy today. Yeah, I feel. I feel. Do you know what I feel? I feel quite relaxed. I feel quite. I feel like, you know, I'm not in a nice sort of mellow place. All right, what's. Let's see. Bella says a boyfriend of one year can't commit to a future. He worries about even booking a holiday. He worries that even booking a holiday sends the wrong idea. We're both 35, and I want kids. Should I just leave? Yes. Did you need more than that? I mean, you've been together a year. You're 35. You want kids. The are you doing? Like, get out. Did what time? Like, this is not the time. you're 35, you want kids. There's your answer. Done. Leave. If someone can't, if someone thinks if they're booking a holiday sends the wrong idea, then then what you want in your life is the wrong idea for them. Your I. Your dream is to them sending you the wrong message. so get the hell out. This is your life. This isn't a game. What? You're gonna get 35 back. Do you have a special power that I don't to come back and get 30? If do you have a do-over at 35? I don't know how to give. How to give you 35 back. I don't know how to give you 36 back or 37 back. You only get one shot at being 35 and 35 to 40. You're only going to get one shot at being 35 to 40. and when you. When. When. When your biological window closes for having kids, there's no reparations. He's not going to pay you reparations. He's not going to be like, oh, my God, I'm. Let me. Let me fix this for you. He can't fix that for you. He. He's not the Cavalry. Do you understand that? He's not the Cavalry. You are the Cavalry. No one is coming. No one's coming to save you from this. You are the cavalry. You're the one who has to take care of you right now. We cannot make someone else responsible for our dreams, especially someone who says that they don't want to give us hope that our dream is going to come true. Elise Sol Tani says, hi Matt, I saw your live last night about getting over an ex. And today with a new perspective, thanks to you, I went out with friends and someone who can be a date and I'm feeling amazing. That is so great. I'm so happy for you. What? There's progress. You realize how exciting that is. Like forget whether this person is right or not, whether anything comes of it. You could You could go on a date with them and you could be like, ah, not for me. It doesn't matter. The fact that you left alive with me yesterday, where I, and for those people that were there, you know, I talked all about how to move on from an ex. And see possibility again, the fact that you left that with a new perspective and then you went out and you hung out with someone who could be a date. That's amazing. That's amazing. You keep putting in these little actions. I promise you, you're going to change the trajectory of your whole life. You don't have to feel like everything's possible today. You don't have to find the love of your life next week. You changed the last night, you changed your trajectory. And I promise you, if you keep doing that, if you keep doing that with me on Tuesday, if you think yesterday was good, wait till Tuesday. If you keep putting these actions in and you keep being proactive in this way, you're going to change your love life in a year is going to be unrecognizable from where it is today. I'm really, really happy for you. Congrats. So cool for anyone who hasn't signed up for Tuesday. By the way, I want to make sure, Elise, so who just, who just said that, are you coming on Tuesday? I'm wondering how you address questions pertaining to how long we should spend alone or on self-development after a relationship, just trying to be judicious about the process. Well, it doesn't. I don't think there is a set time. Firstly, let's deal with the being on your own thing. There isn't a set time. What we want to resist the urge to do is immediately jump.
