Be Thankful For Bad Men (Matthew Hussey, Get The Guy)

The holidays are a time of year where one can feel somewhat alone. It may well be that your expectations for where your love life was going to be by this time of year haven't happened. And sometimes when that happens it produces resentment, frustration, anger, sadness, hopelessness, all things that hurt our chances of being happy and make us less attractive in general. Gratefulness is one of the great ways to be happy. I want to issue us together a challenge today. What is it that we can be truly thankful for, truly grateful for, either from the last year or from the past in our lives? And it doesn't even have to be great stuff. It doesn't have to be something that was obviously a good thing. Maybe there was a guy who treated you badly. Maybe you went on a date with a guy that sucked or you realized didn't respect sexed women or just wasn't a kind person. And maybe you think, well, what can I be grateful for in that? Maybe in that case you get grateful for all of the great guys that do exist. Maybe you get grateful that there are good and kind men out there. Maybe this wasn't one of them, but there are. You know, I always think, look, we have brothers, we have fathers, we have sons, we have people around us that if we look around, we see the good in men. Maybe you get grateful because when you meet one who isn't so good, All it does is remind you of how great the guys that are great really are. See, you can become pro at this. If you really know how to change any situation and see the good in it, you know there's nothing that can beat you in life because you'll always find the positive in any scenario. And that ultimately is what's gonna make us so attractive. If we wanna find the love of our lives, if we wanna have an incredible love life, we attract the best people by being happy people. Member of the Get the Guy family. I'm thankful for changing jobs to one I really, really love. All the friends and family who helped me self-publish a book this summer. And my super duper lovey fluffy cat.

I'm thankful that we work in a place where we help people find love every day. So this year, I am thankful for all the opportunities that I earned and I had some big wins and some losses. But I am thankful that I got to bring myself to the table each and every time, regardless of the outcome.

So I am thankful for an old friend who has been there for me this year, really helped me with my work, always there for a conversation. It's the cup of tea.

There are so many things to be thankful for this year, like family and friends and Beyonce's Lemonade. I'm thankful for the fact that there are just too many things to be thankful for this year to be able to narrow it down to just one.

I am thankful for realizing dreams do come true.
