At the very least, I deserve as much love as I'm giving to other people. I deserve as much time and attention as I'm giving to other people. Anything else doesn't make sense, especially if I say I care about people. I am a person, so if I care about people, then I have to include myself in the calculation. There's no special reason I should be exempting myself from my love for people.
