You Asked For It: “50 Shades of Earl Grey” Bloopers

Did you see our video last week? Our little spoof of Fifty Shades of Grey? See, me and Jamison were watching the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer and it took itself very seriously, didn't it? It was very intense, almost weirdly intense, especially since it's not like it was like some big tragedy that was happening. I mean, it was about a billionaire and a woman with a pretty good job in Seattle having sex. you'd think that they were discussing how to get the ring to Mordor. One day I said to Jamison, this would be. This is hilarious as a trailer. If you just replace all of those moments where they're talking about sex with talking about tea. So that was the inspiration for 50 Shades of Earl Grey. What was a silly idea turned into a really big production. If you've seen it already, you know it's really like it's. The quality of it is insane. Big round of applause for Jameson for making that happen. That was all him. So we had fun with it and it sort of reminded me, I was trying to think, what do we say on Valentine's Day? I don't want to say anything so serious because I'm kind of tired of being told that my month is like Valentine's. Oh, it's Valentine's. Oh, this must be a really busy month for you. I hate Valentine's Day. It drives me crazy. I don't even have to talk about it right now. I'm paying lip service to you Valentine's Day because I don't give a f***. Here's the thing, instead of taking it all seriously, let's just have fun with it. So today, instead of a big serious Valentine's message, which I don't care about anyway, I'm just gonna show you the blooper reel from the 50 Shades of Earl Grey video. Check it out. I like to see your face. It gives me some clue as to what you might be drinking. So you're a caffeine freak. Do you want me to like look away? Yeah, maybe. I maybe need you to look away. It's very hard to keep a straight face whilst you're being violently tea-bagged. Trying to keep a straight face in that shoot was quite possibly the hardest thing I've had to do in my whole career. But it was fun, and that's what life should be. Fun. Seinfeld said that one of the great keys to life is just to fall in love. But not romantic love, fall in love with moments. Moments in life that make you smile, that bring you joy, notice them and fall in love with them. I had many of those moments on that day where I filmed that 50 Shades of Earl Grey. And I want to continue to have those every day. Even if you're not finding the love of your life today, even if you have no one to focus all of that love on, fall in love with the small moments because they can be just as meaningful.
