This video will give you 4 steps that you can complete every single day that will make you a more successful content creator. And I'm not even just talking about having a great year in content. I'm talking about having a career in content. But I also don't want to BS you on any of this. This isn't something that you can just automate through AI. This isn't just something you can do in 10 or 15 minutes a day, maybe eventually after years of effort and lots of content. But right now, This is something that I'm going through with the Hey Creator community for the next 30 days. So just go to create30.com to sign up for free. The 4 things that you're going to do every single day to make yourself a more successful and connected content creator all start with C. Create every day, connect with other creators, other people in your market every day, commit to learning something and then applying it. And then clarifying your goals through journaling, through meditating, through writing something down and coding it into your brain so it becomes more real. What we're going to go through in the rest of this video is taking you through each of those 4 steps and showing you pieces of what I'm doing every single day to create, to commit, to connect, and to clarify. And this may seem a little counterintuitive, we're actually going to do the create part last. The first thing that I want you to do is commit to learning 15, 20, 30 minutes a day. This is how these things work. This is how you start to fill your creative cup, fill the well so that you can pull from it. And you're not just like, I don't know what to talk about. When you're learning, you have things to talk about because at the very least, you can tell other people about the great lessons and takeaways that you have from YouTube videos, from podcasts, from books, from articles. It can be all of those things. What I'm going to do today for my learning session is watch a video from April Lynn Alter about how to blow up your YouTube channel. That's the thing that I'm really focusing on this year. And so that is what I'm going to spend 20 minutes watching her video and making some notes. So come along with me, watch what I'm doing. So this is the channel I'm talking about, April Lynn Alter. She is a great person to learn from, especially if you're thinking about making YouTube a bigger part or a big part of your strategy. And so this is the video that I'm looking at, how to blow up your YouTube channel in 2025, is watching this video and taking some notes about what I'm learning. It is a, yeah, 21-minute video, so it's pretty perfect. Okay, I'm just a couple of minutes into this video and I'm already like remembering/relearning something that I've struggled with on my YouTube channel for a while. And this is making sure that the positioning and framing of the videos is consistent. Like, that's why on the main YouTube channel, I'm sticking with productivity and more specifically productivity as it aligns with bullet journals and other analog pen and paper solutions. When I do something differently, the video, like, kind of the chain breaks. And that's something that I learned or relearned. I wrote it down right here. And now what is helpful about this is now this is not only something that I'm learning and encoding, it's also something like I'm gonna be able to, at the very least, make a post about this video. So I'm doing the create piece. Hey, here's what I learned from this video by April Lynn. That's why I like to start with the learning. You will never be without something to say as long as you learn how to communicate your observations in a way that help people. Okay, finished my learning session for today. I have all of my notes down here. This is mainly thinking about my productivity channel right now, but I also have space right here to do a few things with the Hey Creator channel and also a channel for men and dads that I'm in no way prepared to start and commit to, but just while I'm thinking about, while I'm learning about these channel strategies, on YouTube from April Lynn, I'm going to be making some additional notes. And one of the things that I'm also doing, this is maybe a little bit more unique to me, but it helps me think through and process my notes and also like historical context of how I've been talking about this in ChatGPT specifically. So I'm going to go ahead and kind of talk through these notes. You'll get to listen to some of it. And then again, like I'm going to be able to apply this to my own videos. I'm also going to be able to turn this conversation into a piece of content that I can use in Create 30 as well. I just finished watching a YouTube video by April Lynn Alter, and it was about how to blow up your YouTube channel in 2025. And there were 3 elements of this that I thought were really interesting for me. One is channel strategy, one is the video recipe, and 3 is the click system. Another thing that she talks about is the entry barrier. And I think that is like, what are things that are unique to me that aren't as unique to other people? And I mean, the thing that comes to mind first and foremost for me is having 4 kids, solo income. My wife is at home. We want her to be at home, running my own business. I train Brazilian jiu-jitsu also. So I have like some personality and family entry barriers that not, not everyone can or will match. Okay, so that is, that was about 4 minutes of me breaking it down. So, so far what I'm at on this is I have studied the video for 20 minutes. I spent like maybe an extra 10 minutes on top of like the notes that I took during to just lay those notes out a little bit more and then to talk them out here on ChatGPT. And then I'll get some learnings on this. The next thing that I need to do for Create 30 for this challenge is to connect with some other people and then do my journaling for the day to clarify my goals. And then, then I'll be good to go. This connect piece is, I hope, easy to understand. It's a little hard to see on the screen right now. What I'm talking about though is not necessarily that you have to send like LinkedIn connections or you have to follow a bunch of people. On Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok if it's up, whatever. What I'm talking about, and maybe I should call it commenting, all I'm doing is making 5 comments or, you know, making, trying to make a real connection with people every single day. So like this video that I was just talking about for April Lynn, I just wrote on here, great video, thank you April Lynn, gave me a lot to think about with how I create my video recipe. So that, that's all, like I just want to do that, like 4 or 5 times throughout the day. Let me see here. Here's a good example. Nicholas Cole, who founded Ship 30 for 30 along with Dickie Bush. This is all I'm talking about. So I'm already connected with Cole, but says here, here's all you need to make money online. He has a page from one of his books. And as I'm looking at this, like, okay, I'd say something like, I really like this book. Part on executing the niche content. Okay, so I'm just saying like, hey, I really like this book. The part on executing the niche content strategy really opened up the audience for me. Thanks for writing it. That's 2. You can do this on any platform you want. You could do it on multiple platforms. I do recommend looking for the Create 30 hashtag across different social media platforms and encouraging other people there, that's a perfect way to do this. You also like look for friends and people that you admire. And so like, here's Terry. So Terry is a friend of mine. And say like, I used to hate creating videos in public, but now I've got a system for it. Number 1, assume nobody cares. And number 2, move the camera around, keep going even if you mess up. So I'm going to say here, and this may surprise all y'all by saying like, These are great tips, Terry. May surprise you to know that I'm still a bit uncomfortable taking public videos. I don't want to get in anybody's way or be too cringe, but I like the reminder that no one really cares. Haha, laugh emoji. That's it. Comment. 3 down. So I do a couple more of those. Let's see, the other thing that I would look for, like go to the Create 30 hashtag on X, on LinkedIn, on Instagram, see if other people are posting and comment below what they're working on. Okay, last thing, last thing for the 4 steps: clarifying goals, vision, notes on what I learned today. I've already done some of this kind of naturally in the learning session. I want to be clear about that. You can kind of stack some of the steps together. Like, I could have just watched April Lynn's video, I could read a book, and that would count as my learning time. But if I'm also taking notes, if I'm thinking about how can I apply this to the content that I'm creating, to the topic, to the channel that I have, that also is clarifying that, you know, counts for journaling. And so the other way to, you know, work on this a little bit, I'm just going to say like from the goals and vision perspective. Okay, so this was just a few minutes, not, not like the 5 to 10 that I recommend, but a good bit of notes that I have down here to clarify, like 200,000 YouTube subscribers, better strategy and recipe, consistent format that allows channel to build momentum, This is a part of my big vision of 1 million YouTube subscribers and a platform for ideas. So if you want to have a successful year and even a successful career as a content creator and expert entrepreneur, these are 4 steps.
