In this solo YouTube video, productivity creator Matt Ragland introduces a physical sticker he designed to embody his mantra “Get your head out of your apps.” He walks through the entire design workflow—starting with hand‑sketches in a thick Moleskine sketchpad, refining the artwork in Procreate on an iPad with an Apple Pencil, iterating the layout and colors, and finally sending the final file to Sticker Mule for fast printing. Matt explains why he values analog tools like bullet journals, planners, pens, and notebooks, arguing they pull attention away from the digital world and help him focus on ideas directly on paper. He shares the community’s positive response to a mockup posted on Instagram and YouTube, announces an initial run of 50 stickers available via a link in the description, and promises to ship worldwide. The video closes with a teaser for upcoming content: a full review of the new Michael Hyatt Full Focus Planners and an interview with John Meece, a member of the Hyatt team, where they’ll discuss the science and research behind the planner. Throughout, Matt’s tone is conversational and enthusiastic, encouraging viewers to support the channel and look forward to future analog‑product reviews.

Everyone, welcome back to another Bullet Journal productivity video. My name is Matt, and something came in the mail. I made something. I made something, a thing you can hold, you can have in your hand. You have— it's a sticker. One of the main things that I've said on this channel, and a lot of you have laughed at it, get your head out of your apps. The inspiration for the sticker, but what I wanted to do is start sketching out on— this is just a Moleskine. Yep, Moleskine sketchpad, super thick. I started sketching out some ideas and you can see kind of as a square, and then what ended up being a little bit more of the final product of really like making some of the text smaller. I thought about putting a face in there, but decided against that. Confused face right there. But I started putting everything on paper, and then I moved everything onto iPad. I did this on an app called Procreate. I don't know how well you'll be able to see this. With the glare, probably not very well. But then this was the sticker I ended up making. And there were several, there were several kind of iterations of this, but it started out just as a 3x3 square. And then I would draw it out with an Apple Pencil. How I would do this, I just had a sticker, 3x3 sticker canvas right here. And then I'd bring it in. Just give myself some more room to work with, change the background color to orange, and then I have a couple of brushes that I use, but nothing complicated or fancy or that you would want to download. Changing up some of the widths of things, so it'd be— and then making this a little larger, too large. So you can see how it started to grow from there, and then bring it back down. And having the outlines. I sent it to Sticker Mule— shout out to the donkey— and they printed them up and sent them along really quickly, and as you can see, really beautifully. I really like it. Look, there's so many parts of my life that are only online, which is almost insane to say. Like, we didn't get the internet in my house until I was 12 or 13, and you know, it was dial-up at that point, so it wasn't really the same. I've realized one of the reasons that I love bullet journaling and planners and notebooks pens, pencils, all of it. The reason I love all these analog tools so much is because it takes me out of the online world and allows me to focus on what's right in front of me with the paper, with the tool, with the thing that I want to write down, the thing that I want to get out of my head. Because bullet journals and notebooks and planners are all things that we have together that we enjoy, something that connects us The way that we interact is only digitally, so I wanted to make a sticker based on that idea of get your head out of your apps, get it into a journal, get it into a book, get it into something that is offline, and make a sticker so that we could have some way to connect. We could have something between each other that is tangible and you can feel and you can put it, put it on your notebook or wherever you want it to be. I put it on water bottles. I shared a mockup for it on Instagram and YouTube earlier this week and got really good response. So I did an initial order of 50 of these "Get Your Head Out of Your Apps" stickers. If you want one of these stickers, they're really easy to buy. Just click the link in the description below and I will send it to you no matter where you are in the world.
