Matt Ragland sets a nightly intention to jump into a 55-degree lake at 10,000 feet at sunrise. He hikes half a mile from his campsite and uses the cold water to shape his mindset for the day ahead.
Morning, y'all. This is Matt, and I've been awake for 20 minutes. One of the things that can really help me in my day is setting an intention when I wake up. And yesterday I decided that I was gonna jump into this lake when I get up in the morning. So I've hiked about a half mile down from the campsite, and I'm gonna do that right now.
Is that cold? It's freaking freezing. It's probably about 55 degrees and we're at about 10,000 feet, but oh man, I'm awake now and I know it's going to be a great day. One of the things that can really help— set an intention and follow through with it. The mindset you have with how you begin your day is a huge part of how your day will look. Have a good one.
My name is Matt Ragland, and that was my version of cold water therapy. Have a great day.
