Hey, what's up everyone? Sorry about that. Hope you're having a great week. Excited about this week's vlog. Lots of fun things have been happening, but I like to, for the most part, you know, just concentrate on one primary idea. One thing that can maybe change something for you every single week. For this one, it is about a conference. I get to do work that I really feel makes a difference. And I know for each of you You want to be moving towards something that makes you feel like your work matters. And maybe that's at a company, maybe for a lot of you that's doing something on your own.
So what does that look like?
You know, sometimes it can be a little rough. You end up working in places that you don't really care about or doing things that you don't really think matter. You end up being in places like this, and sorry if I'm pointing at your workstation. The thing that I love is that I really do believe that each of you has it in you to do something that matters and to be able to support yourself doing it. All of those things can be really hard. That's why we have a conference to address each of those things.
At ConvertKit, we We really believe that you can truly build an audience through teaching everything you know and that there is a way to allow that audience to support you doing that work that you care about and also fuels them as well. So let's talk about that in a little bit more detail. All right. Just realized that— Just realized I lost my tripod whilst biking here. Bummer. The tripod is not the only thing that has gone missing or has just been totally destroyed in the past week. Speaking of which— Next week we're going to tell you about how this happened. But back to the conference. Some of the best conversations, some of the best ideas, some of the best relationships, job opportunities, and just work growth opportunities period, have come to me through in-person conferences. 'Cause as good as friends as we can be online, as well as we can know each other digitally, there's still something very special, very human about being able to connect with someone face-to-face, being able to connect with someone, to hear someone talk in person. And that's what's gonna happen at the ConvertKit conference. That's what happens at a lot of conferences. What I'm especially excited about for this one— there's a few things. The speaker lineup is just fantastic. Like, even if I wasn't going and working it, this would be something that I would want to attend. But first and foremost, Seth Godin is going to be the keynote. Now, I don't know about you, but Seth is the OG to me, you know, entrepreneurship of ideas The first book I read about entrepreneurship was that my dad gave me, Free Prize Inside. Let me know in the comments if you've read that one. But my dad gave me Free Prize Inside, and Lynchpin, and Tribes, and they've all been incredibly important to me. So I've wanted to hear Seth speak in person for years, and to have the opportunity to do that, now is going to be incredible. And there are several other incredible speakers also. There's Melissa Griffin and Mariah Coz and Nicole Walters and Levi Allen and Sean West and James Clear, who I've talked about in this vlog before. So the speakers are going to be great. We're going to have workshops. There's going to be like a genius bar to help you get set up with everything, you know, coaching, whatever that— whatever you need to help, you know, kind of kickstart your business. A little bit more. It's going to be at this conference. The bottom line is this: if you want to create work and build an audience and do it in a way that matters, that sustains you, this is the event, this is the conference that is going to show you how to do that in a way that makes you feel alive and makes you feel good every single time that you go to do that work. That doesn't mean it's always going to be easy. That doesn't always mean that the money is just going to show up. But it does mean that we're going to give you tools, that we're going to give you the inspiration, we're going to give you the tactics, we're going to give you all of those things. You're going to be around people that are doing the exact same thing as you. So if this is something that you want to be a part of, I hope that you'll take us up on it.
