Fuck, dude, it's already looking dope. Do I even have a powder blush with me? I tried to pack as much as I could, but didn't bring powder blushes with me, apparently. So— oh, okay, yes I did. I forgot. This is Hot Makeup's Desert Sunrise, and it's My jam. Like, man, again, when I went and popped this baby on, I didn't realize how pigmented it was. So this is so extra. Just here, just right there. Okay, so I packed it, but now it's like I'm grazing the top with a razor blade or something. Like I'm just trying to move, or like if I had sand on a piece of paper and I was just moving it around. That's kind of how I'm imagining it. I'm imagining that the brush isn't even touching my skin. It's just touching the color. And why I like to do that is because it, it's like contour, but it still has this bronzer tone. Look, even the La Belladonna won't help the Bermuda Triangle. It just has this, like, I can't describe it. It's ashier in tone, but it's still warm. And it really brings in, like I cut that and bring that cheekbone out. So it makes me look younger, it makes my cheeks look higher. It's just, it's so extra. Okay. Then I like to go in with my Joie de Vie. I think this was only a, Seasonal color, but damn, my friend Cece gave it to me and she didn't know. She didn't know what she did. So I'm just popping it right there like Raggedy Ann doll. This is matte. It's a matte. I mean, it's got a little bit of a sheen, so I wouldn't— it's not matte, but it's not a satin. It's like a matten. Copyrighted, my term, trademark. Just to set it, but because I'm crazy, I really love this red— I can't see what it's called— from Ben Nye. Just a little bit. And this, be so careful, because if you want to look sunburned, then there you go. But I ain't trying to look sunburned. I'm just trying to look more than sun-kissed. Sun made out with. Sun made out with. Sun and I, we were smoochin'. Oh my God, anytime I make a cheesy-ass joke, I can just hear my sister going, stupid! So dumb. Okay. This is where I get so uninterested in the makeup process. I hate putting mascara on, and I don't like doing my eyebrows because I'm obsessed with symmetry. And I tweak out on it. It just, it gets ugly. I'm into Senna Cosmetics Mink. I don't like the twist stuff because I don't feel like you get as much product, but whatever. This is what I'm dealing with. Okay, we can see that this eyebrow fades out far from the nose. I want to bring them in. Like, when it's too short up front, when I see people and it's too short, that's the only, the main thing that makes me just go, It's not right. It makes it look like your face is expanding, and we want it to be the perfect frame. So if we thought if we looked at my face in half and it was two pools, these would be diamond-shaped rocks, and I'm dropping the diamonds into the face, and they're rippling in a diamond effect. So you could just see like. Uh-uh. Like, these are the frames. If this is too far in, if this is too far out, it just fucks it up. It looks off. It looks weird. But if you want it to be that perfect frame, then you can see mine are a little— I always start from the back because if I go right into the front and get too crazy, it just looks fake. I'm not into that Instagram brow look where it just looks like Faded and painted on and awkward. But if you like it, that's cool. I ain't trying to hate. Actually, yeah, I am hating. I'm sorry. It's just not my scene. I want it to look like it could really exist in real life. Like, obviously my eye makeup isn't going to exist like this in real life, but my brows, yeah, they look real. They look legit. So you can see like how I'm wrapping around that orbital bone. Boom. And I like to make them go out because mine go in. And sometimes you'll see girls with these amazing eyebrows and they're wrapped too in. You want to make sure that it's going with that diamond ripple and not messing it up. Like all of a sudden you have this amazing shape and then, ugh, and it cuts off the eye. I want to open up the eye, especially if you're older. You want to create space because your eyes will start to And you wanna give the illusion of lift, and this gives you that illusion of lift. Another thing it does right there, cover up that wrinkle, use that as a marker. Didn't think I was going to be so entrapped in the mentality of aging and being like upset about it, and it really just snuck up on me and I realized Yeah, I fucking care about that shit and I hate it. So I'm learning on accepting it, the aging process. And yeah, it just is what it is. You don't think about those things when you're younger because— and then you're like, oh shit. And I always think of that Aerosmith song. All the lines on my face getting clearer. Okay. See how I'm doing? And I like doing my makeup this far away, because I can see everything. I can see how this is gonna work in conjunction with this. I can see if this is too low and this one's too out. I wanna be able to see it. But I still need to go in and make sure everything's blended properly. But I know it's blended properly. So. All right. That's it. I'm done with that. Like, if I wanted to make them thicker, I would, but I'm like not into that. So my roommate in LA is here. I'm taking this Kat Von D eyeshadow palette. Everyone's into these neutrals and nudes and the basic palette, and fine, cool, great, boring, but you need them. But you need them, and I'm happy for this palette. But what I really like about it is to use it for brows, and now I don't— I brought this with me. I didn't bring all my brow powders. I like to set my pencils. I also like to use gels, but I don't have a lot of gels actually to set because it's very humid in New York right now, and my skin's oily, and then I use an oil. So it's really easy for the wax in the pencil to just start to look patchy and spotty, which I'm not into that. Look what that did. Mm. Uh, spoolie brush. Oh no. I usually have 50 of them running around, but I think I eat them in my sleep. I don't know where they are. Well, I guess we'll just have to pretend that these are blended, 'cause right now, mm.
