It is an English-first person makeup tutorial/monologue by a single presenter demonstrating skincare and makeup prep for combination-to-oily skin. The speaker talks through curling lashes, using a mattifier (La Bella Donna's Mattifier), applying primer selectively (mentions 'Bermuda triangles'), setting with Cover FX setting powder using a Kat Von D brush, and powdering technique for the T-zone. The tone is informal and self-directed, with commentary about preferring a more casual, unfiltered style for personal videos versus professional work.

Hey friends. I'm doing a makeup tutorial. I usually do makeup tutorials for other companies that hire me to do them, but I have to be professional and very straight-laced, and I am anything but. I want to be able to use words like fuck and shit. Just, I want to be really professional for my own personal videos, so— Anyways, I really don't do tutorials for myself, so I don't know, it's a little more nerve-wracking than doing it for somebody else. Especially because I'll have an audience, or I'll have some feedback, and right now I'm just talking to nobody. So let me remove my gum. Just save it there for later. So I'm not chewing like a cow the whole time. And I'm just gonna get into it. I'm already wearing all of my skincare. If you saw my skincare routine, that'd be a whole tutorial in itself. But most of what I use is glycerin because it's all natural, fair trade. If there's lavender in it, it's organic lavender from the south of France, harvested from, you know, generations of lavender. Anyways, I always start with curling my lashes. That's the first thing that I do. Because once all my makeup's on, I don't want to smear it. I even try to do it before my skincare. When I'm doing a bride, I'll try to do it ASAP so that nothing accidentally gets in. But that's the first thing I do. I'm kind of a lazy makeup artist. I really don't do primer on myself often, but today I'm using La Bella Donna's Mattifier because I have oily skin, which is fine. I love having oily skin. But when I'm doing makeup on a bride, I'll start with the mattifier, because I'm going to make it so dewy, their makeup, and if they are naturally oily, this helps to tone it down. You have to be careful with this product, because it really mattifies. So I make it like a sheer veil. I roll it out. That's what I always call it, rolling it out, rolling out the dough. And then what I like to do— so I have these things called Bermuda triangles of color. Like, once you put the color here, it just sucks it right out. So it always makes my makeup look patchy, and I can't stand it. So I put some primer there, when I do do primer, and then I set it. I'm using Cover FX setting powder. Here, I'll use this Kat Von D brush. I never use it. It's so pretty though. I love her brushes. And they're all vegan and whatnot. And I just I just kind of pop a little veil down the T-zone and in my Bermuda triangles. I'm always doing this because I've already placed the amount of product I want on my face. That's enough. And now I'm going to wisp it off, the excess. So this is how I try to powder before so that I don't have a layer of powder over my beautiful glowing makeup at the end.
