Now that your map is set and Matic knows your home, let's start your first clean together. For vacuuming, no prep is needed. For mopping, let's start by filling your water tank. We recommend Aunt Fanny's. You'll need 1 teaspoon per full tank. We put a couple cleaner pouches in your accessories box, so feel free to start with those. Yay! But there's one rule, one rule only. Please don't use any other cleaning solutions as it can damage Matic's hardware. Put the tank back into Matic and you're ready to go. In the app, tap Clean Rooms, select the rooms you'd like to clean, then tap Vacuum and Mop. All right. Now you can sit back and let Matic do its thing. Currently, typical cleaning time is roughly 2 hours or so for a 1,000 square feet space. Matic collects debris into its HEPA bag. Now, this bag may fill up faster during its first clean. This is completely normal as Matic is learning your space and performing its initial deep clean. When mopping, Matic's self-cleaning mop roll continuously wrings out dirty water into its bag. This keeps the mop roll fresh Throughout its entire clean. HEPA bags are self-contained. They seal automatically as you remove them, so dust, allergens, and bacteria stay trapped inside. No messy blowback. They also handle both dry debris and dirty mop water in one place, with built-in salt and antimicrobial powder to gel the water and kill bacteria, keeping things clean and odor-free.
