A tourist on a Paddywagon Tours day trip to Ireland's Cliffs of Moher gets shocked after leaning on an electric fence to make room for someone pushing a baby carriage. The only warning was a tiny lightning-bolt sticker on the fence.

So I got electrocuted at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. I'm going to tell you this story not to deter you from going to the Cliffs of Moher by any means. They're gorgeous, definitely go. This story should give you a reason not to do what I did. Um, so I basically went on this tour with this company called Paddywagon Tours. They took me on a bus from Dublin. They stopped about some other places on the way— the Baby Cliffs, this fishing village, um, like an old Abbey that had kind of like crumbled. It's gorgeous, highly recommend the tour, just not recommending what I did at the Cliffs of Moher. So the Cliffs of Moher, a, a cliff, so very steep drop if you go over it, and there's a tiny little path, probably about like 2 at max, some points 3 feet wide, and then there's a fence. So some lady decided to push her baby carriage up the cliff. This was a terrible idea. I don't know why she thought it was a good idea, but I'm not her, so I can't tell you that. What I can tell you is I thought I was being nice, and I'm not gonna lean towards the cliff to get out of the way, obviously, because I don't want to fall off it. I will lean towards the fence. So I leaned on the fence. All of a sudden, I screamed, like, real loudly. Not like, ah, like, like, real piercing scream. Realized what had happened and that it was an electric fence. And then I looked at the lady, and the lady was just like Now granted, when you're on tourist destination, it could be that people speak different languages or whatnot, but I think a shocked face is a universal language, and that was not the face that she had. That was certainly the face I had. So I was kind of shocked that she wasn't like trying to look with— at me with any kind of sympathy or shock or anything. She just was like— because I still wasn't out of her way of the baby carriage because I had been electrocuted, um, which later on I did see like a tiny little sign like about the size of like, I don't know, a small, uh, Post-it note with like a little lightning bolt on it and that was it. So there was a sign but a very small sign and I just thought I was getting in the way. Honestly, I just didn't think about the fence that much. If I had thought about it maybe more, I would have figured that out, but I was just like, I'm gonna be a nice person and move out of the way. It didn't pay off for me. So I guess the moral of the story is: A) if you're pushing a baby carriage, don't bring it up the cliffs of Moher. B) don't lean on the fence of the cliffs of Moher.
