Mike Andes opens 2026 with a spoken prayer aimed at small business owners, asking for wisdom and growth for the coming year. He acknowledges common entrepreneur struggles—motivation, sales, hiring, systems, and stagnating revenue—and gives thanks for his online community and the ways it has supported his businesses (he names Augusta Lawn Care, Homeworks, and Home Service Web Design). He invokes Solomon as an example of seeking wisdom and prays that listeners receive understanding and skill where they are deficient.

I wanted to start off the new year 2026 with a word of prayer. And I've done this pretty much every year of making content to what I can remember. I wanted to say a word of prayer for my audience, for the people that I am in charge of and I am trying to lead and doing the best that I can that this coming year would be regardless of whether you are just getting started and you're just inspired and you watch this video like I'm gearing up for 2020, I'm just getting started. Whether you just have to stay more motivated because last year was tough and the economy was a little softer and it was harder to get customers and you hit a roadblock and you kind of feel stalled out at 4 or 5, $600,000. Like that's whether you're there, whether you're trying to sell and continue to grow the business, whether you are trying to find employees and attract a good team, these are all skills. When you're trying to figure out systems and you're starting to hit a roadblock. I think we all need wisdom. And if the wisest man in the world, Solomon, the Bible, was able to humble himself and say that he needed wisdom and he needed understanding, I think that we all, as mere mortals that do not have the level of wisdom that he has, can also ask for the same thing. Heavenly Father, we are so thankful to be able to be together virtually and in this community of other like minded small business owners that are struggling, we are always trying to move forward and regardless of whether or not we are profitable or quote unquote successful, if we are trying to grow, there is always some level of pain and discomfort that there's a level of push and motivation that is required to continue doing what we do every day. And I'm so grateful for this community and all that they have given me and my family and the ability to be able to grow Augusta lawn care and homeworks and home service web design and all the different businesses and little products that we try to build to help other entrepreneurs. I'm so grateful for this community and I pray that in 2026 as we move forward that regardless of whether or not someone's just getting started and they lack the motivation to stay APPL to what they're doing, or they lack the skill of sales or leadership, or they're trying to build big business and they need systems and the ability to be able to look through data and attract great talent. Regardless of the skill that we are deficient in. I pray that you would give us wisdom.
