Hey everyone, Mike andes here with landscapebusinesscourse.com but today I'm at Augusta Lawn Care headquarters here for the command center. And I just. They told me that someone left us a not so nice voicemail about seeing too many ads. So I'm gonna go listen to it for the first time here and get. You'll get my reaction and then my 2 cents on why this is a good thing or a bad thing and how we might actually be able to fix it. So let's go over here to Lonnie's desk here. She's here at command center and. And I'm gonna put these headphones on and take a listen to whoever this wonderful person might be.
Hey guys, I'm sorry to call and say this, but.
I have been getting very, very annoyed when I'm on YouTube because your freaking commercials are on every single video that. That I watch. I hope it's getting you some business. I'm not trying to be rude here. I've worked lawn care. I respect the hustle, I respect the effort. But I don't know, I suggest contacting YouTube and telling them that you want your money to go somewhere where people who are going to get your service are going to see it and not just to play the same ad for the same person thousands of times to the point that they will never get your service because they're so frustrated by watching the dang ads so damn many times. So, yeah, I don't know. I'm really just calling to say I don't think YouTube's doing you very much help if they're just showing the same ad to folks like me who are not gonna hire you over and over and over again.
So maybe do us both a favor and use your money to, you know, advertise in the Herald or something. I don't know, man. If you want to call me back, you can. My number's.
Yeah, well, we're not going to share his phone numbers. Cool. So let me kind of give you my thoughts and impressions on this. So first of all, I think it's a really good thing when you get. People complain they see you everywhere. Alright? So obviously this person's annoyed because every time they go to YouTube they're seeing our ads. But in general, if someone's calling you about seeing you too much, that's a good thing. You'd much rather be too much in their face than obsolete in knowing. Knowing who you are. The first thing for someone to buy from you, they have to know about you. They have to know like and trust you. Before they like and trust you, they have to know who you are. And so it's not a bad thing if you're getting complaints from people that they see you all over the place, whether it be your trucks, whether it be they see you all over on YouTube and Facebook. And so there's a couple things that we can do to fix this, and that is in YouTube ads, you're allowed to limit how many impressions per day people see your ads. So that is something that I actually am going to probably take a look at, because I know right now our impressions per day is five. So even though he said he sees it on every single video, I know he can only see the first five seconds five times a day, and he can only view the whole video one time, and then he'll never see it again. So he has never watched the full video, full ad, because you can in YouTube ads, you can change that up. The other thing I would say is the fact that you need to change the creative. And this is something we do every five to seven days. So even though he said he's seen the same ad all the time, I know that he has never seen the same ad more than five to seven days over the course of a week. So we change our creative, which is pictures and videos on our Facebook ads and our YouTube ads, every week in order to make sure that that actually is not true. So I want to kind of capture this live. It's definitely. You'd rather have this problem than people calling you and saying, I've never heard about you before and this is new. And you're like. You kind of get that warm, fuzzy feeling like, oh, people hearing about me? No, you'd rather have people always knowing who you are, always knowing where you know. For example, about 10 minutes ago at our office here, another tenant literally stopped me and said, hey, I see your YouTube ads all the time. I watch them. People at the gas station stop me, bank, et cetera. They see our ads. That's awareness. And in order for people to buy from you, they know like and trust. Get number one, get known, and don't be drawn down if someone says they see you too much. So hopefully that was helpful, Mike and these. Landscapebusinesscourse. Com. This is Lonnie at command center. Thanks so much, everyone. We'll see you in the next video.
