If every decision runs through you, you'll never build mid level management. And great all star team players don't want to be working for someone that constantly they have to go to and report every little problem they face. They want to be able to see a problem, come up with a solution, and then execute on it without going through you. Without creating that kind of culture, the business will choke at the ceiling you created.
