Oh, yeah, man. We got our intro music even.
Let's go.
We're live, folks.
Let's go. Welcome back to another episode of C Suite Unfiltered. Let's go.
We even have intro music.
We have intro music. We even have.
Check this out, dude.
Thank you.
Thank you.
And there you are, live studio audience. Dude, that's fantastic. I love it. All right, let's jump right in.
Let's do it.
What a Super bowl it was.
What Super Bowl? Super bowl hasn't happened yet.
Yeah, but this is coming out after crazy man storylines.
Oh.
With this family and the whole thing. Just insane.
Whose family?
I'm just making it up. This is coming out after the super bowl, so I'm pretending we watched and wow.
Crazy.
Incredible. Dude, do you even know who's in the Super Bowl?
I do. The Eagles and the Chiefs.
Nice. Who are you picking? If you were a betting man?
If I was a betting man, I got to go with the Chiefs just because Patrick Mahomes has all the experience.
Okay.
They just much more experienced team compared to Jalen Hurts.
Yeah, fair enough. I'm surprised you know both their names. I know you try to follow it a little bit, but that surprises me. We'll see. Everyone in the comments section can hold Mike to it.
Like most sports, I'm a big playoff fan. Yeah, same, same.
Yeah, I'm. I don't know. My. I. I got a good feeling about the birds.
Yes.
The Eagles. They feel like they are more complete team, so we'll see. So Mike's taking Chiefs, I'm taking birds. And you guys all know what happened by the time this comes out.
But.
But, dude, I. I saw something. A graphic, and it said that people were really upset about the design of the super bowl logo.
Oh, really?
And I. Here's my hot take.
People will get mad about anything.
Here's my hot take of the day. Design peaked in the 80s and 90s. Like graphic design for the super bowl commercial or.
In general. Dude.
In general. Like, everything's colorful and they didn't care about. Like, everything wasn't clean and crisp and what's it. What's. What's it called when like, it mirrors.
Symmetrical.
Symmetrical. Thank you. I was blanking on the. On the word. Like, they're all wild. If you look at all the super bowl logos from the 80s and the 90s, wild colors, themes that kind of went along with the city that was hosting the super bowl. And now it's all silver, gold, and the. In the trophy.
Yeah.
It's just boring.
Yeah, boring. Well, I know, but that's a Super Bowl. In general, I think I like more modern design.
Yeah, I mean, I think in general I do too, but I'm just like, dude, the 80s and 90s logos were wild, and now like for the last 13, you're nostalgic. That's. I am a little nostalgic.
You're nostalgic.
Yeah. But like, since 2010, it's the exact same logo, just a slight variation here.
There.
The biggest variation was in whenever it was the 50th Super bowl and they put a big five. Zero. Anyway, budget cuts, graphic design. Am I right?
Someone probably got paid thousands of dollars or tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars to do it.
Oh, yeah, totally. Ad space is insane too. In the Super Bowls.
Yeah.
Did you see Mr. Beast here had a tweet about super bowl ads? He said he was.
Isn't he gonna do a commercial?
Well, I, I don't, I don't.
For feastables.
Yeah. I think there's. There's something going on with that. I know there's a lot of, like, speculation, but I, I just saw a tweet that he had and I thought it was hilarious. He's like, if someone wants to get in front of 100 million viewers for less, let me know. Oh, yeah, and he had a bunch of brands hit him up because he's like, I can get in front of 100 million people tomorrow.
Yeah, dude. But. But there's a slight difference. I think the age demographic would be different. Right. That's.
That's what everyone said.
Okay.
Really?
Okay. Yeah. Good. Yeah, because it's probably, I'd say 50 million plus. Like half of his audience is probably under 18.
Right.
And so. But still it's 100% valid. Like if you are a, you know, a mobile app or a game. Like, yeah. Why in the world. If you're going after like an 18 to 24 year old audience, you should definitely be taking him up on that because for a few million dollars, you can get on his.
Yeah. For way less than a commercial. I haven't even looked up what it is, but they always do that. Like the average price of a 30 second ad, it goes up more and more every year. It's ins.
Well, this is in part why I'm now running ads against my own YouTube channel, is because I'm like, look, if other brands think it's a good deal to spend money on my ad, why in the world would I not take them up on that and get half of the money back? Because Every ad that's played, I get half of that. Well, 55% or 45% or whatever. So that's why I'm running ads against my own, my own I like it channel now.
I got my first one the other day. I was very excited.
I was extremely excited. You also on your main channel, did a video on Peloton.
Oh yeah.
And I put up a comment that we had talked about Peloton before, but I think it got auto taken down because I put the link to our C suite video. Dude, I don't know if you have that filter.
I went through the filtered comments. If you want to, if you want to have like a big degrade in your day quality, just read filtered comments. Like every like bad word in the book.
Dude, really?
And I hadn't gone through and probably a year and a half, two years ago. And so I just went through the past like few weeks.
Dude, people.
Intense, man. So now you, you are in the acclaimed filtered comment section.
I'm so excited. That's great. Yeah. I saw someone on like one of your Facebook posts, you were just like posting something general about lawn care media and someone like called you a hack. I was like, dude, just like, look at the price. Like do a little bit of research. Like long care media is not a hack.
Hey, you should check out the filtered ones.
Yeah. Oh yeah.
I can only imagine people call you.
It's hilarious. That's horrible. And now I'm putting myself in the content space.
Oh yes.
So now I'm going to get those. Now I'm going to get those comments.
Speaking of which, you've been on this recent little kick here, franchisees going on 75 hard.
Yeah.
So explain what 75 hard is and what's going on with Augusta Nation.
Yeah, I'm on a new Quest, you know, 2023. The year of me.
The year of me.
That's what, that's what all the cool people are saying.
Okay.
So yes, one of our.
That's not self centered. No, the year of me.
Just what we need in the world, more selfishness. That'll get us through. So one of our franchisees that would.
That would imply that 2002 is the year of you. That didn't happen. Sorry.
No, it didn't. You have to get a vaccine. I don't know. That was bad.
You just got demonetized 100%.
We're going to get the COVID warning on the YouTube video. Let's go. I'll make it. So one of our franchisees named Dave Reynolds. Awesome guy. He, he runs marathons, like very into Fitness Hole 9. And he's like, all right guys. He, he posted our private franchise group for all the augustination and he goes, all right guys, I'm starting 75 hard on this day. Like, let's get after it this year. Who's in? And I saw the post. I thought about it.
I didn't thought about it. I thought this was an instinctual.
No, it wasn't. No, no. I genuinely like took a step back. I saw the post. I was like, I'm not gonna like it. I'm not gonna comment. I'm gonna do a little research. I wanna.
Why can't you like the post and not commit to it, bro?
I don't, I don't want to. No, no false, false flags or anything. I want to be committed. So I did some research. I've heard about 7,500 before. I feel like most people have. But if you don't know what it is. It's a workout program, a mindset program, whatever you want to call it. I don't know who created it. Do you know off the top of your head?
Not Lee.
Fitness guy?
No, it wasn't a fitness guy. It's like a motivational dude. Not Brad. Is it Bradley? I forget.
Oh, really?
Another guy like Bradley? I forget.
Okay.
Motivational fitness kind of deal.
Yeah. Okay, well, anyways, motivation, fitness mindset. So Basically it's for 75 days, you. You live hard. And what that is, is this is kind of the biggest one, two 45 minute workouts a day. A day. So this is every single day for 75 days. If you miss one, you restart. If you miss a day, you restart. So you don't get your 75 hard.
One of those. One of those days or one of those workouts is outside and one of them is inside. And the outside one's the killer. Especially in winter. Yeah.
So two 45 minute workouts, one outside, one inside, doesn't really dictate exactly how. It just has to fill the full 45 minutes. Elevated heart rate, but it can be cardio, it can be weightlifting, it can be whatever. So that's kind of step one. Number two is no cheat meals or alcohol, which pretty easy for me, honestly. Number three is stick to some sort of a diet. Once again, it doesn't have necessarily like hard guidelines on that, but stick to a healthy diet. And then you have read 10 pages of nonfiction a day.
I gave up right there.
Read 10 pages of non fiction a day and then drink.
It's non fiction at Least non fiction reading is just horrible.
Yeah. And then drink a gallon of water every day. I think that's.
Have you done the gallon of water? Yeah. That's really helpful.
That's probably the easiest one for me.
Really?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I already drank a lot of water. I don't drink a lot of soda. Like I like coffee energy drinks, but I don't drink anything other than maybe coffee, energy drinks and water. That's.
I think for someone that doesn't. Isn't good at like exercise and the nutrition side, just doing the water thing and then focusing on hours of sleep per night minimum, just those two things would be very helpful.
But yeah, I could not do the reading thing and the two times a day, 45 minutes killer because that means you're showering twice a day.
Yeah, that's. That sucks.
So really in all, in all honesty, if you're going to the gym, you're looking at three hours a day because you gotta drive there and back, shower the whole night. You look at three hours just to working out. Then like you gotta do the meditation. Then you got the 10 pages of reading. Like let's call that 30 minutes. You're literally committing five hours a day to that program.
Yeah.
Which is great and all. Yeah. Oh, it's only like 20% of your day. Like. Yeah. But like that's like most of a work day, bro.
Yeah.
So I could never do that. My workouts are 20 to 30 minutes tops. One a day max. I just did about 12 minutes of crushed it squats before you got here. Let's go. Probably kind of smells like that right now.
It's all purpose studio, fitness studio, podcast.
Studio, living room, kitchen. So yeah.
So we're weekend. I say we because it's a group of us. Yeah.
WhatsApp group.
We have a WhatsApp group.
20 people.
Yeah. Kind of encouraging each other. Like 15, 20 people.
Do you. So fun is to chart their progress in their business compared to non participants. Like year over year data for people that do 75 hard versus not be interesting. That would be interesting, bro.
I like that you need a full.
Time statistian at augustination. I would love that.
Yeah. We had, I had a meeting with Liz and Lonnie over at the command center and I was like, can I just get like some summation of some stats? And they were like why? I was like this would just be really helpful especially for sales calls. So. But yeah, 7005 hard. It's. I, I saw this quote that it was like if people say it's not that hard. They obviously didn't do it correctly. And I'm a week in and the, it's tiring for sure. Like on my body, I didn't substantially work out before. Like walk the dog, walk with my wife. Like never, Never was working out like hard. So I'd say that the first couple days the soreness was really hard. But honestly, like the no cheats and no alcohol, super easy for me. Gallon of water day, pretty easy for me. The workouts, it's more just making the time and being committed. So I'm waking up at 5am busting out. I do the outdoor one at 5am I just get that over with. So I just go. I'll do things outside, like I'll push up, sit up, stuff like that. But I'm mostly just run, jog so trying and yeah, it's, it's honestly like I hate being like it's not that hard. But like I, I think I'm just, just gonna be honest. We're in a, we're in a safe space.
So hard I'm 10 of the way. But I think for me it's like this is a safe space. You know, we normalize. Normalize Talking things you're good at. Yeah, dude, I think producer's not here.
You can say whatever you want.
I'm very strong mentally. Like, I'm a very mentally strong person. So for me, I'm like, I wake up at 5am like, do I want to do this? No. Am I going to?
Sure. Yeah.
And I just get my running shoes on and I go. Right. So I'm excited. I think I'm going to push myself more. I did maybe take it easy. Like my first couple days it was like a 45 minute like fast walk.
Right.
Because like I just very out of shape.
So.
Yeah. I don't know.
Good for you, man. I'm proud.
I'm excited. Thank you.
Good.
Yeah. Down a few pounds already in a week.
Already noticing a little on stage, it's landscape summit. Everyone's going to be seeing whether or not it paid off.
I know, I know. I'm like, man, got to get back on stage in front of people. Yeah. So we'll see. I don't know if people want to know more. Feel free to comment on it. I don't think I'm like publicly like share like I would pictures or numbers.
But like you must take pictures every day.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I guess. Yeah. I'm not doing so far. I don't want to do that. For me, that doesn't Motivate me. Even if I saw a really cool end result, maybe in the end I'll be like, dang, wish I would have. But I have enough pictures of me, like, prior, prior that I'm like, I think I'll just see it in general.
That's cool.
So I have an asterisk on my 75 hard. Like, a couple of things on it to just be 100% honest. So if anybody ever asks if I actually did, if we get to the end of these 75 days and they asked, did you do it? I will say no for this reason. One, I'm not taking the pictures because it just. It doesn't affect me. For me, if. If it's. If it's about your mindset, I don't need to see a physical, like, representation of myself. Like, I'm doing this for me. And whether my physiology changes, which it will. I don't need to see a picture of it.
And two, your anatomy will change your physiology.
Or. Sorry, yeah, well, my bad. I don't know, dude.
I don't know.
I have no idea. What's physiology?
Physiology is, like, kind of like how it works. Like, the dynamics and the mechanics would be the actual anatomy, fat and tissues. There you go.
I don't know. I love it. I'm trying to learn. And the second thing, people will drag me for this. I could care less. I really enjoy reading nonfiction, so I'm mixing it between fiction and nonfiction because fiction's harder for me. And so if you're trying to be 75 hard, I feel like I'm actually harder than everyone else. I enjoy nonfiction.
I struggled today to read a slack message that was five lines long. And I caught myself reading the first few sentence, like, first few words in the last. I was like, okay, like, we need to step back and be able to read. But, dude, never 10 pages, man.
So I'm mixing it up. I'm doing half nonfiction, half fiction.
Cool.
Fiction is a challenge for me, and I want to get better at it. Like, I've always off and on, read biographies. Like, I'm working on two biographies right now. One Ulysses S. Grant, one John Adams. Like, just historical American figures. Next one up is going to be Bob Iger. His book on working for Disney. Now he's back at Disney, shout out to. But it was like his Ride of a Lifetime book is what it's titled. So I enjoy those already. So for me, the fiction side is actually harder, if you will.
So that's cool.
That's what I'm doing, dude. I'M excited.
I think the biggest benefit is the camaraderie of the group. That's what keeps people in programs like that. And so, you know, I don't know if I've said this another dude, you all the exclusive stuff. I love it. So we're gonna be releasing Built for Business.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We already talked about this. We touched on it last pod, but you didn't really go too deep into it.
Yeah, like, it's gonna be a 52. Like, it will be like, by the end of it, you will be an athlete. Like, that's the level we're trying to shoot for.
Nice.
So. But it'll be built for business. It's gonna be very, like, very scientific how we're building it. With my trainer, Christian. I'm doing the program now, too.
Cool.
So I don't think you'll see as much before and after with me because I still like cardio. So I won't pack on a lot of muscle, but it will be more like a. Not bodybuilding, but, like, you'll gain muscle and then you'll stay shredded two days a week doing some cardio.
Nice.
But yeah, dude, I'm looking forward to it. It's gonna be good. I'm gonna launch it to everyone, hopefully. I don't think, like, it's. The main reason I'm doing is actually retaining Christian as my trainer because he has a lot of skills and abilities. I want him to be able to fulfill those. But then I also do think it's gonna be helpful for business owners that need someone accountable. Like, I have to take pictures of everything I eat. Now, that seems horrible, but it's way faster than, like, going on a calorie counter and like, my fitness pal or whatever. And like, finding your food and doing calories. Just take a picture of everything you eat and send it to someone every single day, Guarantee that it'll help you. Now, if it's your trainer that's going to look at all of those, it takes it to a different level. Oh, snap. It's 1am I really need to eat this.
Do I need the cinnamon roll right now?
I send a picture to my trainer of my food at 2am so it's been helpful. And then, like, the training is just spot on. Like, he's just nailed it. So I've never had a trainer. And so in full disclosure, I'm doing the training with him because I want to make sure, like, the program is good. I've just never had a trainer. It's phenomenal, dude.
Like, Sweet.
I'm getting the best shape of my Life, and it's 25 to 30 minutes a day.
Yeah.
Because, like, that has to be. For me, like, I'm not doing 45 an hour. It can't. I just can't. Like, even 45 minutes a day with 75, it was one day. I don't think I could do it.
Yeah. Yeah. For me, the 75 hard thing, it's. It's more like. Because there's the camaraderie of that group. That's what's going to give me, like, the additional push. Because I was like, all right, some franchisees are doing it.
Yeah.
And, like, these guys are pushing themselves. I want to kind of prove to them and to myself that, like, I. I can do this too, and I want to push myself with these awesome guys. Right. So the group of them were motivating each other. Right. Like, this morning, Nick Sneddon up in Nepen, Ontario, post a selfie. My dude is running in, like, four feet of snow. And my response was, they're built different up north. Like, he's an animal. And, like, that's cool. Like, so, like, I'm encouraged seeing him getting after. I'm like, okay. Me waking up at 5am and it's a little misty outside. I'm not going to complain when I know he's out crushing it in the snow.
That's so.
I want to get to, like, that level where it's just. I created a habit where now it's like, every day I just do 45 minutes.
Yeah.
And I feel good about it.
Yeah. It's so. It's. Yeah. Once you create the habit of. Of healthy living and, like, working out every day, it is so automatic. Like, I would. I almost feel like the weirdest thing if I don't work out in a day.
Yeah.
I get the weirdest thing, and you feel like a slob, and it just tears everything else down. So, like, it comes. Yeah. Super habitual. All right. We're getting really deep into 75 hard. 17 minutes in.
17 minutes in. Yeah. I did have a question for the viewers. Maybe this is better at the end of the pod or at the beginning because viewership percentages. But when would you guys like to see it released? When should I release?
I don't think.
