Short transcript excerpt from a YouTube video by Mike Andes ("DESPERATE for lawn-care customers. Haven't EATEN in 2 days😅"). Two speakers converse about their struggle to find lawn-care customers; Speaker A says they will not eat until they secure their first paying customer, and Speaker B suggests standing with a sign and asking for quotes to attract customers.
I need to be more friendly. You're not being friendly at all. You stand out in the rain after not eating for two days, and you be friendly.
No more food until I find my first paying customer.
So we're gonna go hold a sign. We're gonna ask people if they want to quote because, you know, what's the whole quote like? Take what? Take a horse to water, whatever. You can't force it to drink. Well, all I know is, right now, we're not gonna go to them. They're gonna come to us, sell a Coke its own bites, and takes the bait on the hook. I need a customer so I can eat them. Well, no, I need to eat, so I need. I need a customer so I can eat. Okay.
