Do I replace employees that cannot complete jobs and budget hours, or change budget hours? Although for mowing, I believe I know what time it should take to finish. I think it depends on if it's trend. Like if all of your employees are not hitting budget hours, there's a good chance you need to raise budgeted hours. If there's one employee that's not hitting budget hours, they're either slower, less efficient, they're taking too many breaks. It's all trends. And that's why it's so important to track the performance of each employee every single day, to know what their efficiency numbers are, and to be able to pick up on those trends and see when certain employees are consistently being inefficient or consistently being a high performer. That might be the person you want to give a raise to or potentially give a promotion to, or have project manager, et cetera, et cetera.
