A short YouTube clip (by Mike Andes) offering a practical sales tip: when selling services—here, landscaping—don't focus on what customers don't want to hear; instead ask about their lives (e.g., weekend plans), let them talk, find what excites them, and position your service as a way to free their time (ongoing maintenance, auto-pay). The tone is friendly, conversational coaching.
Something helpful I.
Found out with sales is that don't talk about what people.
Don'T want to talk about. A lot of people don't.
Want to talk about landscaping. They don't even want to think about their landscape. That's why you're there. You'll maintain it so they don't have to think about it.
I like to gear.
The conversation more.
Towards what do you got going on this weekend? And I let them talk. Ideally, you see something light up in.
Their eyes, something that they're excited about and they talk about it and you let them talk and it's great.
And you build off that because people like talking about themselves.
And there's no problem with that.
You to know that I'm the professional. I'm going to take care of your landscaping so you never have to think about it. You could focus on your daughter's graduation this weekend and we could have that relationship. You're on auto pay. You know, it's taken care of. That way you could focus your time on other things on the weekend.
