Mike Andes (YouTube video, Dec 23, 2025) explains how a home-service business can double revenue in 2026 without acquiring new customers by increasing annual customer value (ACV). He uses a snow-plowing case study: a $5M snow-only company serving ~5,000 customers with average customer value of $800–$900/year. The proposed strategy is to upsell existing customers to $1,500–$1,600/year by adding services (e.g., walkway snow shoveling, summer mowing), leveraging existing equipment to reach $10M revenue more profitably.

You can double the size of your home service business in 2026 without getting a single new customer. No advertising, no marketing spend whatsoever. How? There's this fancy thing called acv. Annual customer value. How much do customers spend with you on average every year and in home services, because you have seasonality, this is more important than any other industry. And so yesterday I was talking to someone that did $5 million in annual revenue doing just snow plowing. And they have tractors. And Snowblowers own over $5 million worth of assets. And they're serving 5,000 customers doing snow only. Their average ticket. The average customer value is 800 to $900 every year. How do we double the business? The easiest way is just to sell those 5,000 customers. Instead of $800 to $900 per year, sell them 1,500 or $1,600 worth of services every year. So we talked about with him was we're going to add snow, snow shoveling for the actual walkways, and we're going to add mowing during the summer and fall when those tractors are sitting there doing absolutely nothing. This is how he'll take his business from 5 million to $10 million and do it much more profitably because he doesn't have to buy any more expensive tractors.
