See, I was 18 years old, graduating with my bachelor's degree, and I started college when I was 13 years old. I thought I was going to go to medical school. However, at the time I was graduating, I realized I didn't want to go to medical school, and instead I was going to go mow grass. The second time was a few years into starting Augusta Lawn Care, and I had a few employees. And one day I got stuck underneath a dump truck in the PTO and it caught my sweater and tried to suffocate me. It took me a couple of weeks to repair after going to the hospital, and in that two weeks, I realized that my business didn't run on systems at all, but rather only operated because I worked 80 hours a week and was in the business all the time. And you better believe I was second guessing my decision to quit on medical school and start mowing grass. My name is Mike Andes and I'm the founder of Augusta Lawn Care. We have over 125 locations around North America. But like most people, there's times in our lives where we have very low moments, and I want to talk about two of those now. The first one was actually the day I graduated.
