Mike Andes announces that he has acquired the domain mikeandies.com to consolidate his businesses and offerings under his personal name. He frames the move with an analogy to settlers staking land and notes the site currently lists limited-time merchandise and his products/services. The clip is promotional and celebratory in tone.
I've been waiting for this day for a very long time. See, back in the day, settlers would stake their claim on land they thought was most valuable. In today's digital world, the Internet is the same way. See, the one thing that's constant your entire life is your name. So staking your claim in the digital world using your name is a good idea. I've really been needing a place to put all the businesses in one place with a common denominator, which is me. See, someone else owned it and wanted a money for me to buy it from them. Until now. Because as of today, mikeandies.com is owned by Mikeandys. And if you go there today, you can see some limited time merch and all the products and services that I offer.
