Short YouTube video transcript excerpt where Mike Andes advises against acquiring more shop/shop space and instead recommends switching to a subcontracting model to reduce overhead, scale the business, and relieve relationship stress. The speaker who owns a small garage reports tough times and limited space.
Welcome. Welcome to my humble abode. This is the garage that I opted for. Not a good day. It's been pretty tough lately.
The strategic move of switching to subcontracting makes a lot of sense because that could impact the business can now you can scale it without having the issues you've been having for the past five years. This is the thing to focus on not getting more shop space. More shop space is going to add overhead, create more stress in the relationship and take away the revenue that you need right now to go out and get more customers so you can get more people on the subcontracting model.
