Mike Andes is building a $1 million lawn company around ProMaster 2500 vans. The straight bed lets him install a flush ramp, the high roof fits a stand-on mower without crouching, and the 2,500-lb payload handles all equipment plus an internal divider that keeps exhaust fumes away from the driver.

Here's 3 reasons why we're using the ProMaster 2500 van to build a $1 million lawn care business. First off is the doors, because we're going to remove the doors and we're going to replace it with a ramp. Now, ProMasters are one of the very few vans that have a straight bed line instead of curved like the Ford Transit or like a Sprinter van. That allows us to get that ramp nice and flush along the back of the van. Speaking of which, when you drive that stand-on mower into the back of the bed, having a high top prevents me from having to crouch down every single time. 2,500 pounds is important to be able to store all our trimmers, blowers, fuel, and everything else we need to run our lawn care business. Last but not least, this divider keeps the fumes from going up towards the driver. Now the thing that's interesting is we don't have a shop space, so these vans are going to be drove home with our employees to their house every single day.
