Augusta Nation. I hope you're having a fantastic day. It's Sunday, it's 10am My time. I am waiting at the airport.
But I figured I would do a mastermind since tomorrow my schedule is going to be a little bit nuts. So let's get started. This is just a regular mastermind. So if you're tuning in and you're thinking this might be a very important exot, just a regular mastermind, go through the questions and get started. Let's see here. One second.
All right.
Good. All right, let's go, Starbase.
This week I am going to do turnarounds, doing a couple conferences. I'll be meeting up with some really cool founders of several different tech companies.
In a mastermind situation.
Hopefully super beneficial since I have a lot to learn on the technical front.
All right. Yeah. So I'll be meeting like you might know Mark Bradley from lmn. He's the founder over LMN Gorilla Desk, which is a massive CRM. It's not for service businesses, but it's like a very generic CRM. And then also keep what used to be called infusionsoft. The founder of that. I'm gonna be meeting a bunch of them. So I'm very thankful just to kind of have some people to bounce some stuff off of and hopefully create some connections. All right, let's rock and roll. First person up is Joel from Lafayette.
Trying to figure out why there's a bunch of Porsches with Delta going to and from all these planes. Either there's some very high profile people that keep taking out, then there's a way to do that, the back door type situation or it's like, I don't know, an executive like thing. They charter plane, you know, from Lafayette. With the recent changes to copilot to auto pay and adding a card on file, what should the customer expectation now be when adding a card on file? It sounds like from your video on Saturday that copilot should automatically charge any card on file when an invoice is sent. If this setting is enabled in preferences, that that's the key part there. So if I see a cardinal file and a pending invoice that has not has been sent but not yet charged, I manually charge the card. Yes. I have had a couple customers in the past who were upset when we charged a carbon file and they thought auto pay was off. So I just want to check the client portal clear. That card on file will be automatically charged yet. Great point. So two things. Number one for everyone adding a new card on file, it'll be super clear because now when they add a card on file, it'll literally say underneath the card that they've authorized this to be automatically charged. And if they want to take that off, they have to remove the card. The one area that potentially this is going to have to be what you're doing with the manual process is if someone in the past had auto pay turned off now that that toggle is no longer there. So there's a chance there's a certain way that they can, they could have done this to where the notification is underneath their card.
But it's pretty clear now on the client portal, it's 100% clear for anyone adding a card. The only people that you potentially might need to do this manual part that you just mentioned here is if they put a card on file, they turn the auto pay off. And now that auto toggle is not there, those people, you potentially could have a problem depending on what credit card provider they have. Like you need to MasterCard, American Express, but. Or Discover. So, but across the board, like now it's like super straightforward. When it adds a card on file, it literally says this car is now being authorized automatic charges from company name. So.
But, but to your point and personally, personally I wouldn't.
I went like six months of the feature personally of automatic payment whenever an invoice is sent. I personally want to see it longer. For now, I would still like take a quick look at my invoices, select them all, collect card or collect payment and then send out paid invoice receipt. That's what I would do. But technically, technically down the road you can just set it up to where you never have to touch invoices. It just automatically charges them, automatically sends them, and there's like no friction whatsoever.
But in terms of the card being on file, it is really apparent to the customer now that they're. Whenever they have a card or a bank information, it literally has an alert underneath that says that they're giving us permission to charge the card automatically. So services rendered, they had their business name and everything. And the only way to remove that is to remove the payment information. So the only loophole is if in the past they had the card on file and they had turned autopay off. That's the only time we're seeing on depending on what credit card provider it potentially might not have that alert. But you can see if it doesn't by going to their client portal and seeing what they're seeing. But it's like it's fringe cases. We're seeing that on right now. Kyle. Freezing to Illinois. Thoughts on making yard sign or a frame with QR code directing the instant quote form on websites, Obviously people should be on their phones while driving, but we regularly see people stop or slow down to take a picture of our truck for later. This could give them direct access immediately. Thoughts? Yeah, I think potentially on the tailgate, a big, a big QR code going directly to your site with like a. I think it's like get a quote in 60 seconds, something like that. That might be cool.
I'd be interested to see how that works. I think behind like on your tailgate you get better response because you can park or stopping behind it, stop signs or red lights for an extended period of time. I think that most people, they'll snap a picture and they'll call you or they'll snap a picture and they'll like search you on Google real quick and then go from there. A QR code requires you to actually stop and get a clip, like a detailed image. So I think the only place that potentially could work is on the back of the truck on the tailgate. But I haven't done it, so I can't really speak yet. Ken from Fenton, Michigan, someone asked a question about CC and you said you would have to check with Liz. My question is, would Liz or Lee be able to do a mastermind when you're not available? I'm sure they're capable of it and I'm sure it would add value. I think like Liz does her own channel, like interviews people. That's helpful. One of the things I don't 100% know. Yeah, I'll just have them jump in. They listen to the masterminds and I think like in the long run, my goal is to be able to keep being the mastermind as much as I possibly can. Like, I really want that. Most of the decisions that I'm. I'm making have been delegated and it's more like I express the vision of Augusta and I get the right people to do those things. But from an optics standpoint, even for all of Augusta Nation, it can seem that I'm not involved when in reality that's not really the case. So sometimes the mastermind is a way for me to stay connected with all of you. I think it's super beneficial. I wish they would do that at any time. Fitness, for example, where I haven't heard from the two founders for months. Unless you go to their conference, you don't hear from their founders. And this is something that I can do, even if I'm traveling, I can hop on a call, et cetera, like, throughout the whole day. I'm doing the Augusta stuff via chats, emails, et cetera. The legal side, I'm dealing with it all the time. But like, to all of you, it is important, in my opinion, to stay connected and stay communicating with all of you. It's also a way for me just to stay connected with the industry because otherwise I can get into like, this phase of, like, creating content, dealing with the legal issues, dealing with, you know, owners that we might be trying to. If there's problems with things like that, I can just get bogged down in that instead of like, why we have to have a destination, which is to make sure all of you are more successful. And I also think that there's. There's value to join a destination for individuals that maybe they don't want to have five locations or $10 million business, they just want to have one location make four or $500,000. And they're super happy with that. But at the same token, they would like to see behind the scenes a little bit of someone that is, you know, doing a bunch of different businesses and trying to grow and scale and push the envelope. And so I hope that I can kind of open that door a little bit so you can scratch that itch so that you don't feel like you have to go do it.
Because, like, there's a lot of really good influencers and people building these businesses and stuff. And I hope that as we, as you grow Agusta and everything that we're doing, you don't feel like you have to be the person doing that if that's not what aligns with your goals. You can still kind of get insight, ask questions of myself as I'm going through that process. So I would, I would find value in that if someone was. That I looked up to, was growing a career, that I could just ask them questions, see what their thoughts are and things, etc. And then I think it'll prevent some people from trying to grow a massive business when they're really just curious when in reality, what would serve them, their family and their financials the most is just keeping one location, doing 500 to 800,000, making it more profitable every single year, getting to a general manager. But then, Neil, scratch the itch of growth and expansion by just staying connected via these masterminds. So I'll try my very best to do these all the time. It's something that I can do. It scales. And yet like it's not necessarily. I don't always want to do a live stream because you're trying to deal with a bunch of stuff. But I think it'll be valuable for procrastination and long term. I just think, I just think like I don't want to become disconnected. Like even there's that clip that was on the Facebook group.
A couple weeks ago of Grant Cardone saying something about like basically the labor industries and he was saying things kind of like making fun of hard working people. And I'm like I don't ever want to be that and I don't want to ever be the person that has built so much infrastructure and gone upstream so much in terms of software, financials, legal, marketing, content, capital stuff, etc that I lose, lose touch and I lose a heartbeat on like why I'm doing everything. And that is for hard working service business owners. That's all I care about. And so I think staying connected, that's important because that is the vast majority of what we're dealing with on a daily basis as owners is the dirt. And so just me being in the clouds and not staying connected I think is a recipe for disaster. I will do my very best. I think down the road though, having words early would be a good road. I agree. Occasionally drop in on the Mastermind. We'll pick it up regardless of whether or not I'm available. But anyways, good question. All right. I hope you have a fantastic Sunday. I don't usually like to record on Sundays, but my my church starts their service in 20 minutes so I wanted to catch some of the recording or the live stream. I hope you have a fantastic day and I will not see you tomorrow. This one replaces Monday. I will see you on Tuesday. Take care everyone.
