Hello, guess the nation. Hope you're all doing super well. Let me just make sure my audio is good.
There we go. Cool. All right, couple announcements. I sent the email out yesterday for the roundtable, which is going to be next week, quarterly roundtable, maybe a zoom meeting with all of the owners. Feel free to hop on that. We have some updates and things like that, as well as just Q A, which will be live with myself, but it'll be zoom so we can see everyone, which is kind of cool. And then the Franchise Advisory Council is also in that. In that email. The first email that you got yesterday is really just a way for you to volunteer to be part of the nomination process. So just a yes or no answer, and if it's no, you don't have to reply. It's really just about. If you want to be on the Franchise Advisory Council, make sure you open your email up from yesterday and then just fill out the form and click yes. Then later this week, I will send out another form that's going to have all the names of people that would like to be on, would kind of put their name forward to be on the fac. And then it'll just be a matter of voting on all those individuals. So it'll be six individuals will meet quarterly. So it will be required, if you're on the Franchise Advisory Council, to be at all the meetings. And it'll be four times a year, Zoom calls. And really, as you're voting, what I'd be looking for is the individuals that you feel represent yourself, that you are in contact with that support and help you. Those are the people we want on the fac, the ones that are most connected to everybody else and that can really take suggestions and feedback and bring them to myself directly as well as the other leaders here at Command, et cetera.
In a way that is not just a. On this, this type of platform, but taking feedback from other people, bringing it forward, and actually sort of filtering out certain things and bringing those things, those ideas and suggestions forward. So really, really helpful and really just a way to keep boots on the ground of what everyone is feeling. And so those individuals that you feel like you've been connected with the most, that you have learned the most from other members of Augusta Nation, that's who I'd recommend voting for. I will be placing a vote. It'll be considered one vote like everyone else, and it'll be based upon, again, who I feel is helping other franchisees, very involved in the community, on the Facebook group and actively participating in what we're trying to do. Those are the people I'd recommend you vote for.
As someone on the FAC. You will be required to be on those four calls again, 30 to 60 minutes max. I think some of them will be longer, some of them will be a lot shorter. Just really depending on what, what all is going on and the feedbacks that is being passed up along the chain. So I think it'd be really, really positive thing. We've seen that anytime fitness as a franchisee work really well and honestly, I get more support from the franchise Advisory Council than I do from my coach or the franchisor, honestly. But our goal really is just to be able to have another layer of support, another way for you to be able to communicate and pass suggestions along.
Last one is Ewing. I know I had an email or put on the Facebook group, but next week we will have Ewing. I think it's that. I think it's how you say it, it's E Wing. I think it's Ewing though, and how you say it. And there'll be a partner on a national program, so should be a good discount for all of us as well. I'm working with them on the final details and then I will let you all know as soon as I have those. They are going to give everyone a automatic line of credit as well. So just for their products, obviously. So that'll all be set up. I think they're gonna start off with like just a few thousand dollars per location, but you can build it up over time. So that will be coming down the pipe next week. All right, questions that came in here real quickly.
Kevin Sprinkler Fairburt is here. Must be a bad day of sprinklers. All right, let's go. Long question. I can see who this is. One second, sorry. It's nice to see who's asking the question because it gets giving me more context. Give me one second. I can see.
Okay, Thomas, great. Let's see here. In regards to Command center, is it possible to leave emails inside of my inbox for 24 to 48 hours in order to give me time to notice them before they get moved to a new folder. And lesson is an email that Command center is directly handling for me. I find myself not noticing emails until days later because they get moved so fast. Please. Plus it's more efficient for me to go through the day when I only have seconds of free time versus going through each folder. I do appreciate the initiative here. Late start here, so my apologies. Questions are already answered.
Great question. We've been actually talking about this specifically from your feedback, Thomas, I think today Liz is going to make a video for you specifically. But.
If Command center is doing your email, you do want to go through the folders on a daily basis. Now I know this is what we were talking about this morning on a mobile device that's not super convenient, but if we try to put like a 24 or 40 hour gap on all emails, it's going to mean the ones that need to be addressed right away don't get addressed. And so sometimes they will try to try to leave an email for a day before moving into a folder if they think you might want to see it. But then it's again it's like, well that should just go into the one that is labeled for the owner to address. So if I was you, I'd recommend going through the folders once a day. The ones that are immediate attention, like you must answer this is very high important is being a separate folder. The other one though I would click through because like it happened with Kevin last night and that was the invoice from Command center, that email went to franchise related that folder. So I know it's not ideal on a mobile device. It's easier if you download the actual Gmail app, honestly than the mail app on your phone to see folders really simply. But I would just recommend for now obviously the one that is like attention, like high priority, that's the one you're probably looking at the most that you need to address. But the other ones I would just leaf through once a day. Right now that's what we're kind of going with because if we leave 80, 90, 100 emails in your inbox and just say okay, we're just going to wait one day, two days where there's going to be an email in there that is not managed correctly and needs to be addressed right away. So it's really the most efficient for them at Command center to actually put them into folders, the ones that are most important for you to address and then other ones that you potentially might want to see though. And so things like franchise updates, videos, things like that that I send out. So I'm sure we will improve this system. But for now I would recommend obviously address the things that are most important and then you know, the estimate or estimates that are need scheduling, the jobs that need scheduling, obviously that's something you're going to want to check at least once a day anyways. But I would just check the other ones once a day as well.
So yeah, Derek, same thing. I would point this out and this is like something that I think we can improve on but we have to have a system where it doesn't just have a 24 to 40 like arbitrary standards. Like that is where we mess up. And so if we say, oh, I can leave it in 24 to 48 hours in the main inbox and then move them into the folders again, we're going to miss stuff that needs to be addressed right away. And then you got to touch everything twice, right? You have to look over the emails, decide if they should be moved and, and then you'd have to come back later and actually move them. So my recommendation is first of all the Gmail app is much better than the mail app on iPhones in terms of seeing folders very easily because they're all color coded. And I would just focus on the two that are most important, which are like the ones you got to address right away and then the jobs that need to get scheduled. The other folders, I would just click through them really quickly each day just to see if there's like something you potentially could like franchise related or other things that might need addressed. There's going to be a better way to do this down the road. But for now this is, this has been much better than us just seeing if you saw it in the inbox and then coming back to it later. It just creates, you know, touching something two and three times which is inefficient. So I'm more than happy to take suggestions on how that could be improved. But for now we've seen that work best. That being said, based upon your feedback yesterday, Thomas, Liz is making a video. She's probably gonna send it directly to you. In terms of what we're training at command center, but my recommendation as of right now and what we're, we're training everyone is I would just leaf through those folders once a day just to make sure something's getting categorized and potentially might want to at least see it. Even if it's been addressed, just you just see, hey, it's been taken care of and it's done. That's gonna be the most efficient for now. If there was a better.
Software that there's one we were looking at, but it's not really that it's not, it's called Superhuman. It's a cool email platform, but again it's not going to integrate very well and be able to use for a whole bunch of other applications that we have to have it. And so we weren't able to use that one, but Kevin. Cool. All right. What I'll do, maybe Kevin, is. I will potentially, I'll talk to Liz and see if that video can be sent out to all of. All of. All of us. I'll put on the Facebook group potentially in terms of how we're training at Command center to manage email, but the new folders are really a way for hopefully you to be able to look at your email and it's been taken care of and you go to the, you know, the things you need to address right away, and then once a day just click through the other ones. My goal in doing that is that you don't have to check your phone 50 times throughout the day to see what. What the next email is. Just check for things that are most you must address immediately. And then once a day to be able to just click through those folders and see, okay, is there a franchise update? Is there a yellow stuff I need to address something like that. So that's really the goal in doing that, is make it to where you're not getting emails all the day long in your inbox and you're trying. Okay, is Command center gonna handle this? Like, let them handle it. Put in the folders and then you're able to address it as you seem fit in terms of priority. But we'll get that video out to you. I'll talk chat with her. She was gonna send it to Thomas because she's been touched with him getting his feedback. But I potentially can put that on the Facebook group. So everyone's on the same page in terms of how we're training here at Command, So good feedback. All right, let me go ahead and pull up. There was a couple questions that came in. I did not have a chance to read over these yet, but let me pull these over up.
All right. Max Connecting has a consistent glitch where it doesn't send a recorded voice note. Sometimes the feature works, but I've had numerous times where it doesn't, which is frustrating. I record the voice note, then the app experience a glitch, and it fails to send. I try again and receive the same result. Are we considering alternate apps? We're not considering alternate apps right now. Connecteam. I know you all see one side of it, which is basically the communication with the Command center, but we use connecteam for a ton of other stuff. Backend training, clocking in and out, all the resources for training, command centers on there and guides and their checklists that they got to do. For full service every single day. So it's not just the communication side. I 100% agree. The communication element of Connecteam is subpar. It annoys me too. Even like downloading videos, it does it in an old way of downloading files and so the audio, same thing. They are working on it though and I know that they are consistently improving it. So I expect that to improve the communication side. But Connecting really wasn't built as like a what WhatsApp. It was built for a back end almost more of like a slack. And so we use a ton for that. We have all different types of chats internally and then we made it to where it's just one encompassing thing by including all of you as users and we pay for each location as a user. It's not really used most of the time for like messaging and DMing like we're using it for, but it's one way to bring everything under one house because we were used to using like four different platforms and using a ton on Google Drive and a whole bunch of other stuff bringing it all under Connecting has been really, really helpful for, for.
Systems at command center. But I agree that the communication side of it with like the voice notes and videos is not fantastic. Like WhatsApp is leagues ahead but they also have billions of users versus connecteams probably has tens or hundreds of thousands. So they are improving though. I've seen multiple changes, they're trying to work on that but they are definitely behind the curve when it comes to like Facebook messenger or WhatsApp or even iMessage. So I hope that that improves. But I know what you're talking about especially long voice notes don't go through very well. So I would recommend if you're doing like, if you want to have three minute voice note, do them in like 30 second sections because yeah, one out of 20 I've seen just not go through and in terms of like it just keeps spinning or just goes invalid but doesn't keep trying to send it out which is frustrating. Most other messaging platforms if you, if it doesn't go through because of bad service or whatever, it'll be in the background and keep trying to send it whereas Connecting won't. You need to be open inside that chat chat for it to make sure it goes through. So I do smaller ones make sure they actually get sent through for now. So I know that that is the weakness of connecteam. But on the back end like if you look up connecteam's website you'll see kind of like what all we're using it for, which is really an internal tool to bring a bunch of other things in house. All the training videos, all the checklists for daily activities. They have internal chats with all their different teams. It's like, really, we're using it like Slack. We can share documents. We share all of our team meetings internally inside at Command center on Connecteam. So we're really just trying to plug that in so we don't have so many different softwares that we're using. Like we were last year where we had, you know, just the RingCentral messages were coming in, and then you got Google Drive that we were using for training and checklists, like, and then we had all these different things that we were using. So now connecting kind of bring that all under one. One roof. Even clocking it out, it's like all of that is on there for Command center and allows us to run much more efficiently. But I agree with the glitch.
Out of pure curiosity, why did Jonathan Pinochnick ask you to leave the Essay Mastermind group? Oh, yeah, that's like a few years ago. It's like four. Four years ago now, back in its heyday. So, yeah, basically they were just concerned that, you know, if I take the information I learned there and then I, you know, share on my public channel. Basically. Service off Academy was basically where once a month they would do a video and do questions and be like, usually an hour or two. It was good. It was good. I was in there for like a month, but then I talked. The good thing about it was I was able to have direct connection with Jonathan. Pinochnik called me, we talked, exchanged numbers, we text, texted a few times. So that was the positive part of it. Probably better than being in the Mastermind itself, honestly. But now it's kind of falling apart because Jonathan's left, and that's why everyone was really there for.
And his brother left. And really, it just. It's kind of floundering. I don't know if they'll close it down, but I know a lot of the people that were in the program are like, hey, it's. It's. It. Jonathan's not there anymore. So that's why, in my opinion, service offline in general has gone off the rails, is there's no leadership. Like, they're. They're updates. A bunch of random people we never met. We don't even know their names. We never know. We don't even know who the CEO is. Like, there's just no random stuff. Like that. So in my mind there's just no leadership. They don't, they no longer have an office. They've, after their lease expired they just done 100% virtual which is very common right now, like software and tech companies. But.
Yeah, there's just no leadership in my opinion. There's no core group of people leading the organization and no clear leader from user's perspective of who's driving change and who's in charge of tech and who's in charge of sales and who's in charge of just like where the organization is going and what is the long term plan. Like we're all just very much in the dark about that. Like version three of Samples was launched four years ago and it was told to us that within that year it was going to be ready to go. I was at the conference essay 4 and that was a joke. It's not even rolled out. No one even, I'd say 90% of people don't even use Essay 3, the third version of, of that.
I have all that good content that I'm not supposed to share.
Oh yeah. So that they basically thought I might share stuff publicly. But really the group isn't really about service offline, it's really about business. So they talk about you know, one topic a month. It might be about marketing or hiring or like different topics but it was really, it's really good for networking. Like you basically when you get join a Mastermind, it's like you're you. The reason you pay is not for the content you get, it's for the, the fact that everyone in that group has paid and therefore you weed out 95 of people that are just like along for the ride and you get people that like are serious about business. That's why you join a mastermind and that's really why most of those people were in there.
Are you able to make a video content? Are you, are we able to make video content for our websites? I know you said there's going to be a form eventually for tweaks and I'm just trying to figure out the best way for me to produce local content for potential prospects. Yes, if you would like that, let me know and just send franchisegustalongcresourceservices.com if you have a video that you would like. It would need to be of enough.
Quality for us to like pass on it. Right. So I'm probably never going to say no, but I will personally make sure that those things are, are those videos are high enough standard. So again when someone goes from one location to another, it needs to be consistent and needs to be of a certain professionalism. So, you know, if your video is on a phone, it's like all over the place and shaky. Like I'm probably not going to allow that. But if it's really good and you just take good footage and it shows a lot of your personal unique characteristics of your town or your city, by all means, feel free to do that. Since the ones we make are relatively general and close up to stuff because we don't want to show mountains or water or cactus or whatever it is. Right. So you can absolutely do that. Just send me the link. Franchisegustalongarservices.com we'll have to compress it before we put on your site. So that's why it needs to be a high standard quality because we have to compress again in order to make it run fast on the back end. So feel free to send it to me. I would need to approve it though. I don't think I'd ever say no unless it was just such bad quality. Be bad for the brand if someone came and was looking at this at your site. But I'd be all for that. We do have a new one. We're going to be here next little bit having for the back end the background of the website. But yeah, feel free to. That's all I got. All right, I made a note here. I'll talk with Liz and see if we can't share the video that we talk we share with the command center reps how they do the training or how we do training for their email management. That way you're on the same page with them. But for now, my recommendation is the goal is so you're not having to check your email all the time. You should just be able to check one folder a day and that is the thing that you must address right away and then once a day go through the other folders quickly in terms of jobs that got to be scheduled. Anything that is, you know, franchise updates, things like that that they categorize for you. So and I know in the long run doing it this way is going to be good because if you're looking at man, I know there's something on a franchise update a couple weeks back, I can't find it. You'll just be able go directly that folder and you'll there or yellow slopes. An employee comes like man, this yellow slip, I should have done this. And it's like two, three weeks ago. You'll be able to literally go to the yellow slips folder, go back and find it really quickly instead of always using your inbox as where you search. So I know in the long run this will be a really good way to organize the emails and you'll find things for you'll know, oh, I need something and know where to find it instead of just having this random inbox where you're searching all the time. So. But I definitely would recommend because they have everything like beautifully color organized inside their folders. The Gmail app is better for folders than the mail app of iPhone, but I will get that video on the Facebook group if Liz permits me. So of what they're using for training on how they're doing email management here at Command. So thank you all. Hope you have a great day. See you tomorrow.
