Hello, Augusta Nation. Welcome back to another edition of Mike Minutes. Let's get started.
All right, let me get this rolling. Since this has been changed.
Boom.
Got back last night. Successful trip on Monday. I think our next turnaround's coming out. Should be fun. Got a couple crazy ones. Actually, the one coming up is crazy.
Oh, you'll see.
Where did those go?
Very good. Thank you. All right, we got six questions today. Very good, very good.
All right, done copy. Save Facebook group back to the Augusta Nation. Boom.
All right, well, there's some people watching. Oh, I guess it's not too early. Honestly, it goes east coast.
It's just 10 o'.
Clock.
All right, I think we're good now. I can push this out.
There, share my screen and drop this. Oh, look at that.
Got myself a Black Friday deal.
Okay, there we go. Got my secondary screen finally here. Okay, we are live.
First question.
Oh, that looks so good. Okay.
Kyle Turner. How much trouble or what is the process of disputing a customer's claim through stripe? We have all the dates of when we did the work and the call notes in the command center. Is it worth to go through the dispute or just send them another bill and then send them collections if they don't pay it? Another question. We've got a last. So if someone disputes something through stripe, you can't just send them to collections like you can, but, like, they'll still get their money back because the dispute is like, they have paid and now they are trying to. They're getting their money back. Almost always it goes towards the consumer because ultimately the consumer is the customer of Visa and MasterCard. You're just like, somewhat expendable to them. And so it is like 1 out of 10. I've seen disputes going away of the company. Another question, another question. We got a call last month from a client's friend that wanted us to do some work for them. The client had moved out of the home, and they got their friends picked up everything for us to do the work. We quoted it, got the job, did the work. Now we cannot get payment. Do we send the owner of the property collections or the friend that set everything up? I would email both of them, like, kind of pit their relationship against each other honestly, and be like, hey, you did. You got the work done. You. It's on your property. Like, what's on. If you've already done that, then in terms of what you can do in terms of collections, you'd be sending the.
Property owner because that's actually has legal lien on. On the work.
Logan Albers, grand island. Hello, Mike. Will CC not be able to set up our snow removal routes in Copilot? They have done it for us in SA in the past. Eli said they are not ready to take that on at this time. So I'm just verifying that this is.
Something we need to learn. Thanks.
There are two videos inside of Copilot University walking through the different options of how to do snow removal. If Eli said that, then I'm going to assume that they don't have the snow removal.
Department set up yet for Copilot. I would imagine they're going to have it set up though, so maybe email help at Augusta and just try to. Or yeah, email help at Augusta, longer servers.com and CC Liz on it and just say like, hey, when's the timeline for when snow can be handled? I'm going to go ahead and assume that they're going to wait out and stick with service autopilot until the end of December because otherwise they'd have snow in two different platforms, which for them is. Is a lot more difficult managing the snow routes. So I'm just guessing though. So you'll need to talk to email help and Liz and then CC Liz on that and they'll get a timeline for you.
Ken from Fenton, Michigan with the idea of simple pricing small, medium and large going forward. Well, we need to have all the properties in the US Mapped out like we were talking about earlier. You said it was going to cost between 10 and 12 million. Yeah. Like right now the cost of that is so exorbitant.
Yeah, I don't think we're going to do that. Like I said two years ago, and that was almost a year ago now. Um.
It'S just so expensive to map them all out. It really is going to be better for now at least to do small, medium, large. My fear is that we spend all this money on track because even if we did just Augusta nations, if we just did ours, it'd be like almost a million dollars for us all to get our addresses in our. In our locations. However, I really believe that in like three years that the tracking, the AI mapping of properties is going to get so much better. It's already pretty good that like it'll be almost inconsequential to have known the property square footages manually. So that's my concern. Also the fact that over the course of time those property measurements would not age well. Like as things move, property lines, building new projects, et cetera, they wouldn't age well because they're stacking time. So in five, six years you almost have to do it again. And I think in five, six years it's going to be inconsequential because AI will be able to do a better job of mapping the properties. Like Sat Quote is a really cool tool. They do a pretty good job, but it's way too expensive when you're actually doing using the AI to actually map like mulch bushes, grass, et cetera, it's just like you'd be spending thousands of dollars. So if you're doing every single property like that. So now I'm not planning on mapping everything out. Using the small, medium and large is the fastest way to do it and the cheapest for now. Kyle Tarvin Gold and silver have been trending upwards for the last few weeks. Would you ever own gold or silver as an investment or just to store wealth? If so, why? If not, what would you rather put money into? I would only buy, personally, I would only buy.
Precious metals in the event that I could not create, create a. I could not put my money in any other productive asset that actually produces cash flow. Like they're just rocks, they don't do anything. And so it is literally what you're, what you're betting on is basically economic collapse and world governments falling apart when you buy into gold and silver. Like if we ever go back to the gold dollar, it's a gold dollar, the gold standard. Like we got bigger problems in this economy in my opinion. So like in the meantime, whether that, because I think it's going to happen, whether that is though in 10 years or a hundred years, I'm just going to focus on producing productive assets in the meantime because when that economy switches the gold standard down the road and that becomes like a big deal, I really believe the people who are rich now and have really great assets and businesses and companies that produce cash flow will still be the ones that own all the wealth then. So I am personally not buying gold or silver unless I was like speculating on something I might have done in the past for a bit. But like I've never. And I think I bought silver and gold right when covet happened a little bit as part of my portfolio because like, but I put like all my money into that stuff because I just knew within six to eight weeks it'll be bouncing back. So gold took off because everyone was freaked out. But again, taking off for gold and silver is like 20, 30%. Terrell at Boone's Creek, Tennessee when making an estimate in copilot are we supposed to be putting in the correct budget hours or just one budget hours. Didn't know if the customer is supposed to be able to see our bh. You can change in the settings. If your customers are seeing your bh, which they shouldn't be, you can change that in your settings. So there's a spot where it says visible to customer and you just take. Take out certain columns just take out budget hours so they can't see it. But you do want to put the correct budget hours in? Yes, absolutely. And I would recommend getting in the habit of doing it for all meetings to do's etc. Because then your, your budget hour capacity chart is gonna be the most accurate.
Kyle Tarvin I think it'd be really cool to have an Augusta Nation only classified section for used trucks or equipment owners that are getting ready or want to sell. Shameless Plug. All right. Kyle has a Toyota Tundra with 175000 miles on it. Needs the engine reworked or a new engine put in it. Transmission is good. Interiors in good shape. Rage racks and ramp. You're attached. Hit me up. Put it in the Facebook group. In the Facebook group. I think when you put it in the Facebook it actually will mark it as like a po like a marketplace thing. Which I obviously don't want to do that. But I tried to look into seeing if we could make like a marketplace for just our Facebook group. But I don't think it's possible anyone.
Wants to look at that and let me know.
Otherwise that'd be super cool because I would love to have kind of like a marketplace inside of the Facebook group. I just don't want to make another thing for us all have to check. So I'd say for now just post it in the Facebook group and if it ever got daunting to where like there's too much happening in there, I would figure something out. Even if we made like a. I just don't make it hard for you to post either. Like I don't really have to submit it to the media team. The media team has to put in the dashboard.
Like it's just going to annoying.
I agree. I like it. Augusta Classifieds. So yeah, I think we could do something like that in the Facebook group. For now just post in there if you have something for sale. But I think definitely as a like as we get to like 200, 250 locations, everyone's getting close enough to a few people where having that might actually be helpful because you at least know, okay, like they're not Going to try to rip me off. And the trucks are painted already. And so if you're trying to paint, sell a truck that's painted yellow and decaled, it is immediately worth an extra fifteen hundred dollars or two thousand dollars to all of us, but not to the general public. So there's definitely validity to that. So post on the Facebook group if you have something for sale. And if it ever got overwhelming, I would figure something out. But right now, like, maybe once a month, someone posts something in there. All right, everyone, have a fantastic day. I'm gonna go do office hours for copilot, and then I'm gonna go do a live stream this evening because copilot got booked out for an entire month last night for sales, calls, service. Autopilot raised their prices, and Real Green is raising their prices, and people aren't happy about it, which I like. Raising prices. Don't get me wrong. I think everyone should raise their prices, but I just think that it should correlate with the value being provided. Anyways. All right, thank you all. Have a fan. Oh, yeah. I know I mentioned on the Facebook group, but I moved all my locations into Copilot. I appreciate them doing that because technically I was going to wait another three weeks, the end of December, But I wanted to make room for a lot of the larger locations that are waiting towards the end of December, as I have stated that they should. So thank you to all my GMs publicly, for all my general managers being so willing. No one even questioned it. I appreciate it a lot, and I didn't actually ask for it. So thank you for taking that on and going a little earlier just to make room for more of the larger locations towards the end of December, which is the perfect time to switch. The best time to switch is the last week of December. It really is. But we need time for command center to actually onboard each of the locations, and I want to make sure there's room because I know my locations are bigger and I don't want to bog everyone down that last week or the first week of January. All right, everyone, have a fantastic rest of your weekend, and we'll see you guys on Monday. Take care.
