YouTube video (Mar 30, 2021) showing a morning at Augusta Lawn Care. Lee (office manager) narrates daily startup routines: early arrival tasks (generator, computers, coffee), pre-shift preparation done the night before (dispatching, routing, job/truck/equipment/client info), crews loading mowers and materials, and meetings to maintain morale and operations (optional midweek motivation led by Mike on Thursdays; mandatory weekly team debriefs covering incidents and reminders). Emphasis on efficiency, profitability, and getting crews out quickly.
Morning, lee. Morning.
Sam.
Work.
Anything besides mowing a 70, everything else is 80. Because it's not only a possibility that we're going to be able to overloading it, but to save the same. Yep, awesome. That it? Yeah, everything.
What's up, everybody? It's Lee with Augusta Lawn Care, Wacom county, the office manager here. What you just saw is kind of a day in the life here at Augusta. A morning starting out at a busy landscape company. And that's just kind of what we do. So, as you saw, like, Brandon gets here nice and early, turns the generator on, gets computers on, lights on, warms up the office, gets the coffee going for the guys, because we know our crews need coffee for the long days they're gonna have. And then I usually show up right after Brandon, and we just get rolling. We jump right in. We're dressing in emails, we're setting the crews up for success, and then the guys start to trickle in, and then we just get jumping right into the action. They have the whiteboard, so they check what trucks they need, what equipment they need. The night before is really when our morning starts. That's when we're sending them all the information for their jobs the next day. We're dispatching, we're routing, we're taking care of all the possible problems that can be taken care of ahead of time. That way, when the crews come in in the morning, they're ready to roll. They have all the information they need. They have the truck information, the equipment information, the job information, client information, whatever it may be, they're set up for success and ready to roll. So you saw, you know, crews loading up their mowers, loading up raw materials. It's all done efficiently and in a timely manner. And that's just kind of how it rolls. We're busy, but we're efficient and we want to stay profitable. We want to get the guys out of here as quick as possible. On P4P. So you saw that we do an optional midweek motivation meeting, and that's where Mike will share with us. He'll share about the numbers of the business. He'll share about a cool idea he had, or we'll just try to motivate each other. Someone will share maybe about a cool clip they watched or a book they read recently. And we just try to motivate each other. Midweek motivation, Thursday mornings, sometimes it's getting towards the end of the week. Your guys are tired. They've been maybe working in the elements all week. That little pick me up that motivation from you as the owner, manager, whatever it may be or just sharing and building each other up is really important in this industry. So that's what we do with Thursdays and then we also have our mandatory, if you will, team meeting. So that's just a quick debrief things that have happened the week that week, yellow slips that may have happened and then any updates and reminders that I want to provide the crew. So just general reminders about equipment, clients, things like that. But that is kind of a general overview of what we do here, how it goes, how we stay efficient and how we stay profitable. So feel free to like this video, subscribe to the channel obviously share and maybe down below leave a comment. You know what do you guys do in the morning? Do you guys do optional midweek motivation meetings? Do you guys do mandatory meetings? What's that look like? And how does your morning startup look different than ours? Thanks guys.
